The Show is All of Yours
wow an update? I missed those
Miles, nice to know from you after such a long time. How's the rest of the team?
To me this is like pulling the plug on LG15 as a specific market and branching out to a wider spectrum of viewers. I'm ok with moving on to newer things and all, but don't you think you owe your old, original fans true closure? I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that I'm not sure if I'd like to start watching other "social shows" produced by you if I'm going to be afraid of having them dropped whenever a new project comes by.
Anyway, it's nice to see you guys are still in touch with the community. Thanks for that and good luck with all your new projects.
Good luck. It is sad to see the end of LG15 and a shame that it ends on the cliffhanger left by the resistance.
But it's okay, we TOTALLY still care about you guys.

Right? That's what you'll say when people complain?
Including stories from outside the LG15 Universe was suggested to Eqal and rejected by them a long time ago. Interesting switch.

Boo.

I'm done. Will stick around to see LG15: The Last, but thats it.
Javier, you are entitled to your opinion, but I respectfully disagree.  We have not "dropped [LG15] whenever a new project comes by."  Quite the contrary.  We've continued to produce LG15 shows and have financed fan-created LG15 shows, sometimes at a financial loss, DESPITE the fact that new projects have come along and simply because I care about the brand and the community.  lonelygirl15 ran for 2 years and KateModern ran for a year.  That's a LOT of content.  Despite the success of Harpers Globe, Paula Deen, The Kind Life, Level 26, and everything else in our pipeline, not to mention technology development, we continued to develop LG15.com and produce/support new shows.  We just finally came to a point where we had to make a decision and we decided that because we don't have the resources to "do it right" at a loss, and because LG15 isn't profitable on its own, that it made sense to not produce new shows.  We'd much rather grow the TSIY brand to encourage new storytellers using an open platform without any constraints.  Needless to say, I would LOVE to resolve the cliffhanger at the end of LG15: The Resistance, and I would LOVE to produce more LG15 shows and grow this community back to its former glory, but that's not in the cards right now.  Maybe in the future, only time will tell.Modelmotion: We finally have the technology and resources to support a broader TSIY undertaking.FH14: I'm sorry, maybe one day we'll produce another LG15 show.
I knew LG15 was gone, but I hold EQAL responsible to ALWAYS maintain this LG15.com to facilitate access to the show.  :)
So you didn't just do the TSIY to keep the fanbase happy and to prevent the mass exodus of LG15 fans who have only stuck around in hope for a LG15:Resistance 2?Well now you have announced that lg15 is dead it will be interesting to see what happens next with the community that is left.
You got it TraverseTown.  That is part of why we made this decision.  We're going to focus on a site re-design, and of course the Umbrella platform, so that we can make this an awesome place to watch the existing shows, and of course people can still make their own LG15 series and show them off here.
KindredPhantom: We did the LG15 TSIY because we thought the LG15 community would have fun and we wanted to keep you entertained and keep the brand alive.  Sorry if you thought that meant there was going to be a LG15: The Resistance 2, I don't think we specifically said there would be... obviously we would have liked that to happen, but it never became a reality.
I'm going to miss LG15. It has a huge place in my heart. I am sorry I have drifted since the ending, but I still consider myself part of the community. Thanks Miles and Greg and Amanda for all you have given us, I'm really sorry to see it go for good. I was still hoping there would be a LG15:TR2, but I understand.

and I'm sorry I also feel like LG15 was forgotten about when bigger "better" projects came along. but its about money in the end. its a business

Miles, we had "the" technology back in the days of the old site.  Technology is not what is holding us back.  There was always a need to foster the development of community video series: LG15 derivative or independent.  But the reality is that you made a deliberate choice to follow "your own projects". That is your choice but clearly you totally missed a great opportunity to develop what once was  a popular web side in a direction that was supportive of stories being told within the community.  It might be too little, too late now, but hopefully not.
Although I won't lie and say that this is a huge blow, and obviously a disappointment since LG15 has been a part of all of our lives on here. Granted, I'm sure a large part of the community did stick around hoping that the Resistance would be revived and we would at least have full closure for the show, I agree with Javi there. But I'm looking forward to where the company takes TSIY and to see who all sticks around.
Either way, I'm beyond thankful for the friendships (and a 'wife' in Riki, lol) that I've gained from this community and sincerely hope that the friendships we've all gained last for quite a while to come, as they've already lasted.
So, as much as it totally blows that LG15 is officially closed as a series... at least it was there to begin with, it gave all of us a chance to interact with the show through puzzles, and develop friendship with others that followed the show, sometimes (I know in my case) to the point of spending hours just sitting on here chatting about nothing in particular. I've enjoyed it, and will miss it an incredible amount.
Thanks Emily, you said it better than I could, my sentiments exactly.  We're going to work hard to make the TSIY a great community for online storytellers!
