BK: In our recent PM exchange, I told you that I would not "cause dissent in the forum" and that if I had any problem with the moderators etc, I would try to address it in that (PM) manner.

I intend to keep my word, however, since my last post concerning this subject somehow failed to post before the topic was locked I hope you will allow me this final comment on the subject here.

It was a vigorous debate on a topic that aparently interested many of us. While it did contain one or two brusque comments, it seemed that everyone was holding their own; I've seen other threads get way more nasty.

As for your offer to [quote]unlock it now and let folks talk about it[/quote] It will do no good now. The damage has been done; it's time has passed. I would ask though that in the future we all try to be a little more tolerant of each others contributions. Members certainly but moderators especially.

I think probably very few of us are professional writers, critics or filmmakers. We're fans, some educated, some not so much; some wise, some just silly, some urbane and some naive; some articulate, some not so much; but unless there is clear malice, slander or liable I think we can be trusted to hold our own. I really don't think it is anyone's role to "let us" talk about something.

Okay. I'm done. Move this if you must to the wasteland of "Complaints and Concerns". I've said my peace on the subject.
If I have casued dissent I hope it is the sort that encourages open and honest dialogue, not the sort that you and I were concerned about.

Cheers all - and hey, relax...This is a game, a story, it's all just for fun. Perspective people.

I'm sorry if you think the slightest criticism is a cause of "dissent"

If you do, and you think this sort of dissent is unfair, unkind or uncalled for than I think you should reconsider your postion as a moderator.

Will you keep this post? Will you lock the discussion?

Frankly I do not care.
