It seemed like a pretty obvious thing to do at the time, never thinking that the real Cassie was freaked out by it all. |
This theory seems pretty shaky to me, and fact-challenged to boot.
1. We don't know that Cassie is a non-canon spinoff. "This is not a game."
2. Cassie has never employed Tarot cards in her clues. In fact, she has strongly disavowed anything related to Tarot cards (from the widely acknowleged imposter cassies). Strange, HyeMew, that you used to be able to distinguish YTCassie from the others but now you apparently cannot.
3. Bree is the one with a serious credibility problem, not Cassie. Keeping CiW out of it for the moment, Bree's OWN statements about Cassie don't even make sense. Here are Bree's claims about Cassie:
--She used to hang out with Cassie at school, and walked around the track with her.
--She used to hang out with Cassie at home, until there was a disagreement about religion.
--Despite the above, she doesn't remember what Cassie looks like.
This makes no sense whatsoever. It's implausible that Bree would not remember the appearance of her only female friend in the past two years. In fact, it's laughable.
It is also implausible that Daniel, Bree's only male friend, would have never run into Cassie or even heard Bree speak of her. How is this even possible?
It is the LG15 story that has serious internal inconsistencies, not the CiW story. In fact, the only thing that makes sense of the LG15 inconsistencies is Cassie's statement: "Bree tells lies."
This is a strong argument for CiW actually being canon. The LG15 narrative needs CiW to make sense of its own serious gaps of logic.

My thoughts on this...
Just because Cassie was freaked out by Bree's religion, doesnt mean that she isnt religious herself. Even Daniel said Bree's religion was 'strange'. Just because Daniel and Bree fight often about HER religion doesnt mean he isnt also religious. So coming to the conclusion that Cassie wasn't in any way a sacrifice becasue she isn't religious is unfounded. Perhaps she was involved with a ceremony, but not by choice.
Also, this new Lucy character is interesting. Bree's helper is making her feel comfortable with her religion and the ceremony thats up and coming...but in the process she is basically telling Bree that she can be redeemed by booting out significant people in her life (Daniel). Talk about seperating Bree even more from people that may have to help her. Could this refer to the cAssie poem (Luke 11:17 - a house divided). If the only people that know whats happening with Bree is her parents and her helper...who knows what could happen...her helper is enfolding her deeper into her relion and farther from the only other outside connection Bree has (that may need to save her) , Daniel.

Well...I'd have to go with atheist or satanist or even pagan if she WAS christian. Perhaps she was corrupted from christianity (corrupted as in changed wickedly) to pagan after seeking acceptance with the thelemic religion? Just a thought... |
