That's been my concern as well....sometimes, posting the answer just doesn't help people understand how an answer was obtained. In fact, some of the recaps are so poorly written that there's no possible way to tell. I've ranted about it time and time again, but I get the attitude that posting a summary on the boards is too much of a hassle for most people. It really turns people off the game.

I wish I could help do that more, but the fact is during the day I don't have access to IRC because it's not allowed on our network. A lot of people have that problem. If I had access to a full transcript, I'd be willing to write a summary.

I wish people would just grow a backbone and start owning their behavior.

That's funny... I must be imagining all those pages and pages of forum posts explaining how people got to the solutions... really funny, because I even seem to remember doing some of it myself. I must be seeing things, too... when I go look for them, they're still there... how truly bizarre. All those repeatedly edited first posts, trying to keep things as updated as possible... heck, even the explanatory vids I thought were on youtube... wow... I must have one heck of an imagination.

not HOW it was found. I dont want to start an arguement.

I was just saying I felt left out when i was working hard on a puzzle and then randomly it was posted that it was figured in irc Sad

Actually, the very FIRST post in the thread is usually just the answers... one would have to actually read all the pesky little details to follow the thought process. And it's there... I've needed to follow the trail myself at times, because my work schedule didn't always allow me to be present for puzzles.

The only thing I've noticed being left out is OT stuff... and really... how many pages of discussions of carrot cake, translating Japanese, and etc does anyone not in the conversation need?

Well, there's "proof"...then there's the "fake proof"...then there's the "altered proof"...who's to know what's real...especially when some people seem to be saying one thing at one point and another at another point. I don't know what the Creators have seen...what was discussed between them and Glenn...so I can't pass judgement. However, if a PM gave out info out of character and out of game, then that's not good for the game...regardless of how good he was at engineering the game. I'm guessing that Glenn knows that, too. For all we know he apologized and graciously stepped down from PM. For all we know he oculd have welcomed it...seems he was rather good at the LG15 video making side of this, maybe he preferred it. Truth is, WE don't know...and WE probably won't.

And that is what is insane about this whole thing.

There is no REAL proof. We haven't even heard Glenns side of it all.

Either way, this game will never be the same. I can't believe the people I read that were leaving.

I can see clues being given, but answers? That is just wrong.

If there is nothing definate, how can anything be resolved?

We haven't heard it...but that doesn't mean it wasn't heard by those that make decisions. Why do we have the right to hear anything? In perspective, look at it. Why would the creators feed this fire? In their eyes...it's a bad call. If I try to see it through their eyes, I can see I'd not want it all aired out, either. Not good for us...but...understandable from their viewpoint.

I really don't know how the ARG will pull out of this. I know what you mean by the people leaving. That's the saddes part to me.

Definately the saddest.

1) The shock of all that hard work...was it really worth it?
2) People leaving that have been here as far as I can remember.
3) PM is going to change -- Story will change.
