ok then, i just wanted to put it out there. if he didn't leave any info or definite plans, etc., it's his own fault if he gets himself in trouble.

just because he neglected to mention to anyone on the forum if he was or wasn't going definitively, that means he deserves whatever he gets? that's kinda harsh, dont you think?

i'm not saying that at all, i'm just saying if he didn't leave any info, no contact, not even a name for us to go on, what are we supposed to do?
honestly, i hope he's fine and i hope he comes back with something more, maybe he got the drop, who knows, but if we can't contact him, what are we supposed to do? i just wanted to make people aware of it in case he did leave info with someone, but it sounds like he didn't.

He didnt tell anyone that he was definitely going, and he didn't leave any contact info, as far as we know hes not out there and sending people out to find someone who might not even be out there would only jeopardize those people. I hope he didn't go out, and if he did hes either with some other people or already came back. But really theres nothing we can do without putting more people at risk at this point

i never said to send people out there to find him...i just said it's a little harsh to say that he deserves it if something happens to him.... who are we to judge?

i don't think he went either....however, if he did, and god forbid something happens to him, wouldn't everyone feel terrible for saying he deserves it? that's all i'm saying

OK I understand, but I don't think anyone feels like he deserves anything bad to happen to him. I think eldes meant by "his own fault" was that without any definite evidence he is out there we really can't do anything for him at this point. At least thats what I got from it, not that he deserved anything bad.

Actually, no, there's some really pretty scenery out there...no hike in fresh air is ever a waste.
