Slow gossip day? I mean, the only juicy gossip today was what? Lindsay Lohan sucking down 2.5 grams of blow by herself and claiming to have banged Jude Law? They were desperate for news |
2.5 grams AND Jude Law? Dude, how did you know what my plans for friday are!?!

heh I loved these books when I was younger too, and the tv show.
I miss those days. Sometimes I wish I could go back lol, maybe I should just pick up one of the books and see if it works lol. _________________ I know I'm an acquired taste: I'm anchovies. And not everyone wants those hairy little things. If I was potato chips, I could go more places. -Tori Amos |

I've thought about trying to find them, but I'm afraid they'll be so inane now that it'll piss me off and ruin my lovely BSC memories.
I remember after reading the one where Claudia tries to find out if she's adopted and doing the same thing...I was atleast hoping to have a secret identical twin living somewhere. |

lol, yea I'm scared of that too, of reading them now and being like "what the heck did I ever see in these things."
maybe I'll have to find when I have kids, maybe it would be different then lol. _________________ I know I'm an acquired taste: I'm anchovies. And not everyone wants those hairy little things. If I was potato chips, I could go more places. -Tori Amos |

Bwah! That would be great, giving them to the kids one day. It was weird to read the synopsis for the books, because after a point I stopped reading them and all this crazy stuff happened. |

I blot the grease off my pizza to this day thanks to those books.
They were also the reason I pursued pet sitting for extra cash as a teen instead of babysitting. It sounded so crappy. (and it is...$10 for watching your kid for 5 hours? are you kidding me?? The neighbors would pay me twice that much to take care of their parakeet for a night!) _________________ ---

Ten dollars for five hours? I always got at least $5 per hour, if not more. _________________ That was the weirdest display of geekdom that I have ever seen in my entire life. |

Ann M. Martin has a new series out now. The first book JUST came out two weeks ago.
I don't think she's that good of an author, really. She can tell somewhat entertaining stories but she certainly doesn't live up to the standard of a lot of contemporary children's authors.
I think the quality of children's books has drastically improved in the last 10-15 years. |
