Every once in awhile, I'll notice a bunch of new signups with 0 posts, or 1 or 2 generic posts that could be legit or might not be. Because the spammers are pretty adept at getting around filters, I ask any new users who don't post something obviously not spam to PM me so I don't delete their account. I'm doing this as a labor of love and without any official sanction or direction from the Creators or TPTB or anyone else, and I tend to err on assuming a new account is a spammer unless given reason to believe otherwise

Spam signups are still a problem, so I disabled signups. I'll reenable them if The Powers That Be direct me to, or if anything new happens which generates interest in the forums again. I can manually add any one-off accounts that might be needed in the meantime.
