That picture is posed, or at the very least not what it seems. Both the figures are extremely stiff, no motion in them whatsoever. If the girl were resisting the man, she would be leaning backwards. If he had yanked her, her hair would be moving backwards. If the man were pulling, he'd be putting far more weight into his front leg and chest.

You are assuming that it's past the point where the girl's arm naturally extends. If the man is preparing to pull her his stance is indicative of expecting resistance. If the distance he has gotten to is less than her arm length, she wouldn't yet be pulling back nor would her hair show movement. |

Oh man, you caught me with my smarty-pants down. Now my ignorance is preserved for all posterity!
What do you think of the pictures in the Photobucket account?
EDIT: When I take a closer look, in friendly.jpg, both the man and the girl are smiling, or at least the man is for sure.
A series of the pictures says "As above, so below, with harm to no one," which sounds like it could be a Rede.

It is quite similar to the Wiccan Rede (An' it harm none, do what ye wilt), and the "As above, so below", I've seen used for anointing candles and such.
Edit: Mr. Gone, I don't particularly like you, but I have to give you kudos on your Photobucket name. Mr. Gone in French... _________________ --<3,

daniel, be careful about this new development. there seems to be some inconsistencies

there is no such thing as a "summer equinox". equinoxes occur at the beginning of spring and fall, when the day and night are equal. summer and winter months have a solstice, in which it is either the longest day or the longest night.

Heh. Great catch, Kalika.
I think it's clear that this isn't canon. And the more I think about the posts and related info, the more I think that Kat and Mr. Gone have left gaping holes in their story.
Plus those photos are . . . strange. Not creepy, just head-scratching. |

The summer solstice is sometimes referred to as an equinox.
There isn't anything wrong with what she said. _________________ KateModern or we eat YOUR children.

I've never heard of that... Technically, there are only two equinoxes - when the sun is directly above the equator. Check here. The solstice is when the earth's axis is tilted furthest away from or towards the sun. _________________ President of the Owen Fan Club |
