Dominoes are normally played by a set of rules called DOUBLE-6. This rule says (very basically) that each domino can ONLY be touching two other dominoes. Going by this, each occurence of a number must have a mate to make a set. The only numbers that DON'T have an even number of apperances would thus have one occurence "unmated," (without a partner) and would thus be at the END of the string.

So, going through the domino set, I took note of the distribution (number of appearances) of each number. IT ended up like this: [the left is the number--the right is the number of times it appears in the dominos we've been given]

0 - 6
1 - 4
2 - 3
3 - 4
4 - 3
5 - 3
6 - 3

That was not normal. Four numbers-- 2, 4, 5, and 6--ALL occurred an odd number of times. THis meant that we had FOUR ends of our string of dominoes. The only way this would work was if it was in a cross, and thus had four ends for one setup.

For this to work, the center piece would not only have to be a double (with 2 occurrences of a number), but would have to have one occurrence to branch out of each side of it--6 occurrences total. The even/odd rule still held here, because this made an even number of occurences, and meant that the number could NOT be at an end.

0 fit the description perfectly. After fiddling for a while, I realized it wouldn't work as a cross with four even branches; it had to have one short, one long, and two middle.

It came out to be a Cross cross (read: Christian-style)

Here's the ultimate layout:

ALSO an interesting note from ShepherdOfBeing: the Maltese Cross is a variation structure for dominoes.

Probably meaningless...but here are the lyrics to "Matchmaker" from Fiddler on the Roof. Just in case...

Quote:
Hodel:
Well, somebody has to arrange the matches,
Young people can't decide these things themselves.

Chava:
She might bring someone wonderful----

Hodel:
Someone interesting----

Chava:
And well off----

Hodel:
And important---

Matchmaker, Matchmaker,
Make me a match,
Find me a find,
catch me a catch
Matchmaker, Matchmaker
Look through your book,
And make me a perfect match

Chava:
Matchmaker, Matchmaker,
I'll bring the veil,
You bring the groom,
Slender and pale.
Bring me a ring for I'm longing to be,
The envy of all I see.

Hodel:
For Papa,
Make him a scholar.

Chava:
For mama,
Make him rich as a king.

Chava and Hodel:
For me, well,
I wouldn't holler
If he were as handsome as anything.

Matchmaker, Matchmaker,
Make me a match,
Find me a find,
Catch me a catch,
Night after night in the dark I'm alone
So find me match,
Of my own.

(spoken)

Tzeitel:
Since when are you in a match, Chava? I thought you had your eye on your books.

(Hodel chuckles)

Tzeitel con't:
And you have your eye on the Rabbi's son.

Hodel:
Well, why not?
We have only one Rabbi and he has only one son.
Why shouldn't I want the best?

Tzeitel:
Because you're a girl from a poor family.
So whatever Yenta brings, you'll take, right?
Of course right!

(throws scarf over her head, imitating Yenta)
(singing)

Hodel, oh Hodel,
Have I made a match for you!
He's handsome, he's young!
Alright, he's 62.
But he's a nice man, a good catch, true?
True.

I promise you'll be happy,
And even if you're not,
There's more to life than that---
Don't ask me what.

Chava, I found him.
Won't you be a lucky bride!
He's handsome, he's tall,
That is from side to side.
But he's a nice man, a good catch, right?
Right.

You heard he has a temper.
He'll beat you every night,
But only when he's sober,
So you'll alright.

Did you think you'd get a prince?
Well I do the best I can.
With no dowry, no money, no family background
Be glad you got a man!

Chava:
Matchmaker, Matchmaker,
You know that I'm
Still very young.
Please, take your time.

Hodel:
Up to this minute,
I misunderstood
That I could get stuck for good.

Chava and Hodel:
Dear Yenta,
See that he's gentle
Remember,
You were also a bride.
It's not that
I'm sentimental

Chava and Hodel and Tzeitel:
It's just that I'm terrified!

Matchmaker, Matchmaker,
Plan me no plans
I'm in no rush
Maybe I've learned
Playing with matches
A girl can get burned
So,
Bring me no ring
Groom me no groom
Find me no find
Catch me no catch
Unless he's a matchless match.

Ok, here is the long sorted details. My brother, his girlfriend and I went to Petaluma. We got there at around 5pm. We went to the Phoenix Theatre. I thought the drop would be at or around the stairs in the Petaluma video. We started there, and worked our way around the building. We couldn't find anything. We looked around for another 45 minutes or so, but still couldn't find anything. We decided to circle back around one more time. When we got back to where the stairs are, we saw a guy pull up right in front of the stairs, get out of his car, check underneath them and then leave really fast. We immediately thought that someone else had come to see if they could find it. So we went back to our car, started calling our operator to see what to do, since we hadn't found anything. Everyone in the chat seemed to think that the drop had been stolen. We told them that we would go to a coffee place for a while to regroup and see where to go next. But when we got in our car we noticed that lots of cars were pulling into the alley where the stairs were. Curious about all the cars, we moved the car to a spot where we could see the area more clearly. We watched the area for a while, and we noticed the same car that had pulled in earlier had circled the theatre 2 times. So we got out to see what was going on. my brother went one way and his gf and I went the other to see if we could see what he was up to. My brother ended up seeing the guy drive into the parking structure down the street. So we all went over there. While we stayed outside, my brother went inside to find him and ended up pretty much running after him. The guy got away, as he was still in his car. So all 3 of us gather on the bottom floor of the structure, and right as we are about to leave, someone speaks to us from the second story.....it is "Brother." I will post what I remember of the conversation.

"Did my sister send you?" he asked.
"Yes, she told me there was a package for me."
Then he asks the question about winning 5 million dollars with the aliens (it's the 'Heathers' quote, I can't remember it right now)
I answer "Give it to the homeless, every cent."
He kind of laughed at this, so immediately, I said "Give it to my father because he is a broker?" I got laughed at again.
He said that in the interest of fairness he would give me 2 more guesses.
I called out op in the chat and everyone gave the "homeless" reply except, it was a little different....some said "every penny" and some said "every dime." I used both of my guesses on these answers to be told that it was a good answer, but not the right one. He told me that the right answer is "That is the stupidest question I have ever heard." Or something to that effect.
I then ask if he is "10033"
I got the standard Brother "That's classified information" answer.
Then he goes on a kind of rant about how he's been on house arrest, and didn't have any luxuries so he couldn't even shave. (Don't ask me, I have no idea what that is about.)
So I ask him if the package was still in the area.
He said that if I had any friends who were in contact with his sister, that it might be a good idea to call them.
I was out of ideas at the moment, I was under the impression at the time, that i was to answer his question correctly, or ask something specific to get the package.
He finally just tells us "Look harder."
So we go back to the stairs and the package is there waiting for us.

It contained:

1 SD Memory card.

I won't be able to try and open the file. So I thought to offer some ideas to open it. The hint of "matchmaker" makes me think of "Fiddler on the Roof" (as this drop was at a theater).

Maybe the code is the name of a characters from Fiddler on the Roof. Any charater names that are already part of the OpAphid ARG?

Or maybe some part of the FotR script has the same quote as a line from Heathers.

Or maybe the code is the bar code for the movie "Fiddler on the Roof" (that would be great).

Thanks to everyone for their work at opening the file. And thanks for thinking about these ideas.
