Here's another idea for a destresser: Meditation. You can do it pretty much anywhere (I've even heard stories of people that can meditate in airplane bathrooms to calm their airsickness) so it's a perfect thing to do on the go. It centers you and can give you a calm sort of focus to draw on when things get back, and you can also add some soft, relaxing music or even little confidence affirming messages by recording some positive sayings on a tape recorder and listening to it on low volume while meditating.

My own personal method (the one that's gotten me the most success, anyway) involves something I read in a book called Awakening Your Psychic Powers. Yeah, I know, that title alone seems hokey, but bear with me. The method of meditation described in the book involves sitting in a quiet place (or using some kind of earmuffs to make it quiet for you) relaxing your body, sitting in a semi-upright position so your body doesn't have to expend much energy to keep you upright, and clearing your mind. Then you start some deep, slow breaths in and out, and every time you breath in, you try to hear the word "one" in your head, to symbolize whatever one-ness you want it to. Maybe you want it to symbolize becoming more harmonious with yourself or your emotions. Maybe you want it to symbolize becoming one with the universe. Maybe you just want it to be a word that you can focus your own willpower on. Whatever the case, as hard as it may seem at first, just keep at it. Practice makes perfect, if you'll pardon the cliche.

Bree, everyone here has good points...

You do need to know that normal is who you are, not what other people think you should be...BUT...

Luminous, Lurker, and QtheC have all made absolutely excellent points. Right now, things are pretty extreme in your lives. You're in a country where you don't speak the language. You don't know where you can turn or who you can turn to - except each other...and you haven't for a while. You need to stay together, for the sake and safety of each other.

I know what you've just been through is traumatic! But life is going to go on, whether we will it or not. As dramatic as it sounds, we want to see it go with you in it!

Can Jonas still access his funds? Or do you guys have any other funds you can dip into? If you do, my suggestion is to hire a translator ASAP. That'll solve the language barrier problem, and you can also ask the translator to show you around, etc. thus solving the problem of being in a strange place you don't know the layout of.

That sounds pretty cool! I've never thought of doing something like that before. Maybe when we get back to the states (hopefully we do!) I'll look into that a bit more. When Jonas and Daniel are being annoying, I can just look inward and go to another place lol.

As for the boys, I'm really not making excuses for them. We've been spying on Alex and as far as we can tell no one knows where we are. Yes, I know we've been wrong before ... anyway, they're just trying to insert a bit of that normalcy into their lives and have some fun. Daniel and I have been gone from home for so long... when was the last time he was able to hang out and have fun? Just because I don't want to party doesn't mean it's wrong. I just think people shouldn't be so quick to judge. Very Happy

I did show them the footage from yesterday and it wasn't very pleasant. First, they were upset that I sqiushed them into the trunk. Lol apparently it wasn't very comfortable! But they were glad I was there to help. Jonas was definitely embarassed, while Daniel thought it was funny. He's out on the beach now practicing his yell. Boys. Rolling Eyes

As for your concerns about the language barrier, most people here do speak at least some English. And once again you underestimate little 'ol me.

French, Italian, and Latin are fairly close, really. It gets easier to pick up a language after you get a few under your belt. You should do pretty good on picking up a fourth, Jo. Assuming you are inclined.

Okay, so I guess I'm the one that needs a translator. Laughing I'm completely lost in the foreign languages department. I only made the comment about a translator because I misunderstood what you meant by your comment in the last video about no one speaking the language. My bad.

So has anything new come from the Alex-spying?

You learn extremely fast, I take it. Just yesterday you couldn't speak Spanish.

By any chance did that ability develop after seeing a bright flash of light in the night sky recently? If so, I suggest looking into a CT scan or an MRI.
