A couple of observations regarding Gemma:
In Tachyons last communication with Brother she makes it a point to allude to all of Gemma’s videos.
Also, there is a list of OpAphid correspondence that Tachyon retrieved during a break-in at Op’s headquarters. Gemmers19 is on the list, confirming that she has had contact with OpAphid.
Here are some ideas being kicked around in the Op portion of the forums:

I like the idea that Gemma might be in the states. I mean her accent is sooo obliously fake, this could be intentional.
What if the boy Gemma is dating is Jonas (faaar shot, I know)
Jonas mention brothers and sisters. What if Jonas and Gemma, Bree or Daniel is related, they just don't know

Brother is believed to be Tachyon's contact person within whatever organization they are in. There have been some references to the "Culper Ring" but it's not clear whether this is the organization or a loose representation.
So, if OpAphid = "The Order" then Tachyon = "Anti Order".

I gotta say for the record:
If gemma HAS been shinning on everyone this whole time....she doesn't live in London, she isn't going to Uni, she is a tool of the Order to control Bree......that is nothing short of AWESOME.
Explains why she keeps talking about these oddly relevent anecdotes from her life and why she reappeared when she did and sought out Bree despite the fact they wern't really friends back in the day. It explains her inability to say anything useful and why she insists Bree and Daniel go home when we KNOW thier house is bugged...
It would expain a lot. It also means everything we've heard from gemma (like it's "the Order" not thelema) is suspect, meaning Bree's religion is fair game for speculation again.
THIS would be a good development, says me.

At this point, I would be surprised if Gemma really did live in London. I think it's all a set-up. A subtle and innocuous way for the Order to guide Bree where they want her to go yet make it seem like the choice is hers.

What if, Bree and Daniel decide to stay with Jonas and Daniel's like "we'll juststay for some food; at least that guy didn't put Bree's rom near his" and Bree will be all "Lalalalala" and do some exploring of the house like she did in the motel ::getting excited as she approaches what BEST be the actual plot twist!:: and she hears something... something coming from Jonas' "parents'" room.
she opens the door, and
THERE'S GEMMA IN THE MIDDLE OF A VID!!
and we'll find out she's sister and Jonas is brother and Jonas WAS Sam and not being allowed to see Sam made Gemma decide for sure she hated the Order for even telling her who she could and couldn't have a crush on (the straw that broke the camel's back). and all this will happen

In Gemma's original video, she says she had just started using YouTube and that she recognized Bree when she saw her videos, so there's not really anything more than convenient timing behind the "reunion" as far as we know. There wasn't an indication from Gemma herself that she sought Bree out. Of course, we don't know a whole lot about her yet, and some people are still suspicious of her motives.
I for one think she's sincere and was really trying to help, but now the Order's forcing her to say certain things while she tries to slip messages that her videos are being compromised. |

I doubt that video or the ransacking video were uploaded to YT or Revver in the fictional world. If they were, all the fans on the forums would be constantly yelling at B&D to look at those vids. I don't think those videos were intended to be taken as anything more than something to help us understand what's happening. |
