I had to take the tongue piercing out for work though--I was working with bigwigs at Pfizer, y'see. But the tats don't go away that easily. |

Lol the first night I tried to and I ended up braking them into pieces shoving them way back on my last moler(Sp?) tooth with my finger and then barely chewing and swallowing. I couldn't stick my tongue out the first few days I don't know if it was more from fear or swollen but it wasn't swollen too bad so probably fear. Lol.

Ha! I would mush the fries up with my fingers and then just kinda toss them back. It took FOREVER to eat them.
Mine didn't hurt but you're right---it was swollen as shit and looked really odd. I was talking weird too. |

And uh
Tongue doesn't show much. The only reason I started noticing people had tongue rings was because I got mine so I started paying more attention to it.
Thats why I think tongue would be better for you than lip.
And if you really paranoid they make retainers for all piercings- however I think tongue retainers work best though because I can't even tell I have it pierced when I have my retainer in and sometimes I forget I have it in and freak out thinking I lost my tongue ring and then I remember so yeah. Lol.

| Yeah my mom was dead set against it too. Once I turned 18 she had no choice though. Unfortunately, I went buckwild and now I kinda wish I hadn't gotten the first two tats. But they ended up working out in the end. |
