At the risk of repeating someone (b/c I'm too lazy to read through this post) has anyone brought up the immortal card?

I was telling my hubband about the storyline and the watchers and the first thing he said was "ooh - like Highlander?".

I know someone brought up that link re: watchers a long time ago, but it may hold some water. The watchers in Highlander were tatooed, and were there to catalouge the immortals. Maybe that's why they're leaving her alone. Can't D in aphid Bree b/c it's not possible (not an option).

I dunno - I'm sick and drugged up, so just go 'head make fun of me if this is way too crackpot for ya.

I agree with the few people who mentioned the zodiac sign. Maybe they were keeping track of a thousand babies for a year, and waited until a few were born at an exact moment. And then the successful ones continued on to be observed and judged further.

I bet eventually we'll run into a character in the series that was a potential "Bree" and we'll learn more about it. Maybe there in fact is more than one child involved in the ceremony, and they just haven't told Bree about it yet. UGH I hope they move along with the storyline and tell us more, I hate cheesy teenage romance whining. They go nowhere...
