Wouldn't he be better off going straight to Neutorgena, where he now knows where Spencer works? I mean, he says here that Spencer is his last hope, so I don't get this. I'm all for bringing Taylor back into the main action, but she can ride the bus like Sarah, right?

I concur. In this video, he's all "Spencer's the last link" and now he's cruising off into the sunset in the exact last place (well, one of the last) that Spencer is likely to be or go. WTF?
No logic on that one.

Taylor wasn't very likely to leave her parents and take a bus. I think she feels like her mom needs her. It would be pretty neat if Taylor's mom went on the road with them (I think). She probably needs to get out of the house right now.

That's a good point, Garnet, about Taylor being sensitive to her mom's feelings right now. So, yes, perhaps it would be out of character for her to split. But I'm still feeling like Jonas' trip to Texas is a plot device, and not what makes sense for his character to do right now... Taylor could always keep sending her SMRT info to Jonas as he scales the walls of the Neutogena headquarters in SoCal!

Maybe he's going to Texas because he feels like a third wheel with all the Sara/DB love.

Sure, I agree the third wheel aspect is part of his departure, but that doesn't explain the destination. I guess I could rephrase the question:
Does Texas make more sense than directly going to see Spencer now?

That's a really long drive... guess there won't be a vlog from Jonas for a couple of days. Actually, longer - his character is directionally challenged. Maybe we'll see him stop to buy a car that has gps (or see him at a big box store buying a mobil gps unit), or see some scenes from Oklahoma or Kansas. ...sigh

He won't go through Oklahoma or Kansas. He'll be on I-10 from Tucson to Houston.

San Diego -> Yuma AZ -> Tucson -> El Paso -> San Antonio (yay! my former home) -> Houston -> Zavalla

Judging by their last few failed attempts at forcing compliance in someone who wasn't up for it (see Jules, and more recently, the Queen Bree), its possible Jonas just wants to wait it out, see if Spencer will open up on his own time. Ambushing the guy at Neutrogena could be a really poor move on Jonas' part, and I think he sees that.

His character is supposedly quick to get lost... which is why I was mentioning Oklahoma and Kansas. I should have used North Dakota instead, easier to pick up on the snarkyness.

I'm wondering if the Creators are going to try to resurrect some foreshadowing attempts, like Taylor having a crush on Jonas - y'know, more character development and complicated relationship issues...or in unmasking Taylor and Sarah's family as being part of the HoO *dumdumdum* Only time will tell...

Maybe something is going to happen in Texas plot-wise and they just need a way to get Jonas over there. Thats all I can think of.

This video is so confusing and makes absolutely no sense.
No person that is as deticated to this situation as Jonas is would drive THAT far to be with Taylor.
ESPECIALLY where Jonas is rich and has a cabin and a house. It's just .... stupid.
