The place matches pretty well with the clue. I think it's the place we're looking for. _________________ "Death has come to your little town..."

We feel curtain. We still have 3 hours to confirm if you wish. Just to point the Bits out one last time. It all did stem from a festaval thats in both New york and london and all the clues lead to london becuase bean town was aparently too far away from the concert to be it. and the clue all say london.
low cloudville" is probably a reference to London.
Also, elevators are called "lifts" in London.
ay's Jazz in on the first floor ("no lifts") of a bookstore located at 113-119 Charing cross road. Ray's could be referring to sun rays ("sun is shining").
Quote: | London's famed Ray's Jazz Shop, formerly of Shaftesbury Ave-Covent Garden relocated to its current address, in the first floor of FOYLES Bookshop 113-119 Charing Cross Road, approximately 4 years ago. Only a few minutes walk from Tottenham Court Road & Leicester Square underground stations, Ray's Jazz is unique in its position. Coupled with the Cafe at Foyles, Ray's Jazz is the perfect place to find JAZZ, BLUES, WORLD musics in the Heart of London. |
even if its wrong it at least confirms that its not the place. Im sorry if it seams a little off i cant remember everything we went through this morning about it. |

I dunno. I think the fact that we're just getting to know that girl, Kate, over in London might be important somehow, too... <shrug> _________________ Diane, or cher, or even chershaytoute, but "Hey, you!" works, too...

The frequency of the EGBDF sequence makes me think it's some sort of separator. Of course, it sometimes appears in consecutive places, and also on lines by itself, so it's hard to say what to make of that. _________________ scientia ex silico |

Yes, that's the assumption I'm working with, like a slash through the treble shaft. I was trying also to see what the whole code would look like, visually. But it's going nowhere I think. _________________ Gaj eyga gaj lpsptk plp s kmqz qswr gaj wlf vmms nsaw. |

Following up on Deagol's thought that the notes were digits 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ...
I've been trying to treat it as binary, but no luck getting a readable solution so far starting from this:
Code: | E4G4B4D5F5 E4F5 G4B4D5 12345 15 234 11111 10001 01110
E4G4B4D5F5 12345 11111
E4G4B4D5F5 E4F5 E4F5 12345 15 15 11111 10001 10001
E4G4B4D5F5 B4 G4D5 E4F5 12345 3 24 15 11111 00100 01010 10001
E4G4B4D5F5 12345 11111
E4G4B4D5F5 F5 E4G4B4D5F5 12345 5 12345 11111 00001 11111
E4B4D5F5 E4B4F5 E4G4B4F5 1345 135 1235 10111 10101 11101

Here is a straight binary to numeric and hex translation appending 000 to the front of each five digit binary term:
Code: | 00011111 00010001 00001110
00011111
00011111 00010001 00010001
00011111 00000100 00001010 00010001
00011111
00011111 00000001 00011111
00010111 00010101 00011101
00011111 00010001 00011111
00011111 00000001 00011111
00000000
00011111 00000101 00011010
00011111 00010000 00011111
00010111 00010101 00011101
00011111 00000100 00001010 00010001

00001111 00010100 00001000
00000001 00000001 00011111
00000001 00000001 00011111

I have tried adding 001 and 010 to the front of each five digit binary number, and treating as a binary code.
I have tried inverting each of the five digit binary numbers before adding 000 to to the front.
I have ceasar shifted the translated values.
I have tried treating the patterns as Baconian type 1 and type 2 with both 0 = A, 1 = B, and 0 = B, 1 = A.
I have vigenere encoded and decoded most if not all of these results.
Maybe something here will lead someone to the right idea.
I'm going to try reversing the bits order in the five digit binary numbers next and see if that yields anything.

Yeah, that was what deagol was working with in the notes --> numbers 0 through 6 conversion. I'm convinced that it's the right thing to do because the octaves are designated 4 and 5 consistently throughout. Mapping to the treble clef would seem to be the best (or at least most clear) reason for giving those notes in particular. _________________ scientia ex silico |

Oh, how stupid we are... well, I am. You don't know how many times I thought about putting the notes in chord form on a staff, and I never did for whatever stupid reason.
Code: |

4 D5 ||---|j---O-O-O-O---O-O--O-O-O-O---O-O-O-O-----O-O-O-O-O---O-O------O-----O---O--
3 B4 ||--/|----O-O-O-O---OO---O-O-O-OOO-O-O-O-O-----OO--O-O-OOO-OO-------OO----O---O--
2 G4 ||-((G)---O-O-O-O---O-O--O-O-O---O-O-O-O-O-----O-O-O-O---O-O-O------O-O---O---O--
