Right now the exact meaning of "blood tar bureau" is being debated.

EDIT: Now it is thought to be either a red and black checkered table or a cigarette machine/counter.

Also, Aja brought up the possibility of it being related to "Blood and Tar", which is the name of an LP by a band called The Blowtops.

Thanks for the update Emsmu. And thanks for the post in the puzzle thread.

However, I think communications between the chat and the forums are broken. I would have expected an update on such important news as a new vial being found, much earlier than 6:40 EDT tonight. Not only was that info kept from the forum during the whole time that the discussion with Clara was happening, but also the time it took her to get back there for the suitcase, and then the time it took the chat to go through all the notes until the new note was found.

Now, if all of the decoding of the cipher and figuring out the location of the drop happened in 3 minutes (that's the time between the initial "there's another note and a puzzle but I don't know anymore details!" post and the same person posting the cafecoco.com link), I here bow to the chat's efficiency. However, even if all the solving took place in 3 minutes, I think it's unfortunate that there was probably plenty of time to post something in the forum much earlier, when Clara said there was a third vial (I posted about what I thought was an extra marble which shouldn't have been there last night, just 7 minutes after the video was posted here), so that whoever was able to read that while Clara went back to the apartment had a chance to get in chat and help out or just watch as the stuff happened in real time.

Or am I getting things wrong here?

A lot of people in chat didnt think anything of the third bottle when she first said something, but then when she said it was filled with rice everyone's ears perked up. Its true, something should have been posted on the forum at that time but I dont think everyone was convinced that it was true until she went back to the apartment and told us about the note. It really did take about 3 minutes for the code to be discovered and then Marla had the location ready on her mind (It was the place she was sitting at with her laptop during the last chat with Maddy) so although there was time for things to be posted on the forum, few people stepped up and though about it, and others were so compelled by what was happening that they didnt think about it. So yes, Deagol, your right that the forums should have been updated much faster and there is a lag in the communication, but it did happen pretty fast.

EDIT: Ok, I just read that there were 3 minutes between the "we dont know anything" and the link to the site. There really were 3 minutes. Marla had the site on hand and the place because she used to go there all the time. The forums were pretty much kept up to date at that point.
