The part of the message that I'm not clear on is:

Who are the established authorities?
Who would be making a mistake us or our enemy?
What is the mistake(s)?

It's clear that we are in a situation of conflict, I'm just not clear on who we are in conflict with? If not Bree or Cassie then what? Are we in conflict with the creators? With Youtube? With Revver?

Another question might be, if we are at war, where is the battlefield?

Ok, from all that I have read so far, this thing seems to go much deeper than Bree and Daniel. It doesn't make sense that our "enemy" is just Daniel. So we ask "who is the established authority that Daniel can be associated with?" Daniel thinks Bree's religion is bad. He thinks is evil right? Where would he have learned that? From church? Could the Catholic Church be the established authority, the enemy? If part of our job is to protect the Order, it would make sense that it's opposition would be the Catholic Church.

Each success only buys an admission ticket to a more difficult problem.
<each puzzle will get harder

It is dangerous to be right in matters on which the established authorities are wrong.
<if we solve them(puzzles), we could be put in a dangerous position.
still i wonder who the "established authorities" are

Mistakes are the portals to discovery.
<i think this is the most obvious.. we post our thoughts so, as they did in
the roman forums, we can compare notes and see where our
thoughts lead us

Alas, never interrupt an enemy when he is making a mistake.
<this one i am a little unsurer of. could this help us define the sides
or choices before us?

It is possible to fail in many ways, while to succeed is possible only in one way.
<also this one is obvious to me, take it literally to mean there is only
one solution

Do what’s right, the right way, at the right time.
<when we are in fact, tested we will have to make our choice

A story is told as much by silence as by speech.
<our correct choice may be to keep something secret, or keep some type of information a secret from our "enemy"

let me know what you think about this, OpAphid says we are to take this all literally, so we need to find the message she is trying to communicate here

It is dangerous to be right in matters on which the established authorities are wrong.
< something tells me we will discover who the “established authorities” are the further we are brought into this situation.

Mistakes are the portals to discovery.
< Making a mistake gives you the opportunity to learn from your mistakes

Alas, never interrupt an enemy when he is making a mistake.
< When we know the enemy is making a mistake that we know of, let him make it so that we can take advantage of it and use it against him

A story is told as much by silence as by speech.
< I think this is basically telling us that a story will be told, but it is up to us whether we choose to change it or let it happen… think fate, is it pre-determined or do we choose our own destinies?

That’s how I interpret them

brandoblues wrote:
what is being asked of us? i know other threads have addressed this, but aphid is still asking if we know.

the voicemail if you listen to it in context without thinking of them as quotations, says something to us.

of decisions, right and wrong. of the people who are making decisions, those who make mistakes and who make discoveries, of choices we will have to make when the time presents itself.

it is us who has to decide, and the path is not an easy one. some will be enlightened and discover the path, and others will be wrong and be lost in the process.

there is a right place and time, and it is near, and we must be prepared to make a desicion.

what will you decide.

interpret the message, what does it tell you, thats what it tells me

ahh love this analysis, Is it possible all the quotes are from people who have made discoveries or even changes in history? people who chose to act and change their destiny?

I think basically (in her last description) she’s telling us that we’re overanalyzing things. I think we all need to relax, because the bigger puzzles are yet to come and when the time comes we need to make a decision.

To pick a side perhaps.

OK, I'm trying to figure out what the VM means to me (seeing it as a whole, the whole picture) but there's a couple of things that make it difficult or raise doubt.

Anyways, my interpretation is that we're gonna be presented to a test, one in form of a puzzle that will be much harder than what we've seen so far. This test has only one solution and, in order to fnd it, we are required to think outside the box (as in stand against the 'established authorities'), make use of the trial and error method, and think it thoroughly. The whole 'enemy' part and the instruction to wait are what's throwing me off right now.

What do you peeps think?

I am kind of focused on the line:

"Mistakes are the portals of discovery."

It seems to me that if we want to discover the answer, we need to look for mistakes.

The only reference to mistakes that I can find is in the reversed audio of one of the videos:

"It is a sin to believe evil of others but seldom a mistake".

Can anyone else think of what might be a mistake?

A mistake...

sounds familiar to the drama of the times during the big reveal day.

Ok, I just read this in the archives. Notice how they don't mention anything about the numbers Shifty mentions. Also there is a phone ringing in the background which could be another clue.

I think this is definately worth looking into.

Edit: This just came to me. This msg was sent today. I know from other OpAphid msg's that Op knows that we post her emails on the forum, so they have to choose their words wisely. Which means that they choose to omit certain things so as not to give anything away. We need to not take these omitions lightly. After all, a story is told as much by silence as by speech. Wink

A story that isn't told by silence or speech could be written. Could we be looking for a way to respond to Op by writing to her.

Or.

Are we looking for another version of these stories that are written somewhere?

I was just using that as an example to show that we need to look at the omitions in the emails. Not just what is being said, but what deliberately wasn't said.

I have a feeling that it matters to OpAphid what we write here in this messageboard. If we prove ourselves worthy through our actions, not giving away clues, etc, we will be allowed to enter the next phase of OpAphid's challenge.

Not giving away clues is not an action. It is the absence of an action.

Edit: I can't spell

"Action" is also not silence or speech. What kind of action could one do in response to that VM?

The only action that you can do on a phone is listen - or text message. Are we supposed to text message that number some appropriate response.

lol - I just noticed that I'm "suspiciously absent." Ha ha. I'm just new.

True, but hasn't opaphid basically said that we shouldn't spill the beans in her e-mails to others? Or am I misreading her replies?

The phone number in question is a Land Line and can not receive txt messages.

What else can you do on a phone, other than listen?
