It really was, especially considering the price, which was less than 4 dollars a pound. For that cost you'd think it'd be tough and flavorless, but it was exactly the opposite. Yum!

You haven't had traditional red beans and rice before have you? You make it with ham hocks and andouille sausage so technically I had two meats with my meal Wink
