How does the Olympics tie into all of this? Bree said "Owen told me one time that he won the 1998 Turtle Olympics in Alaska, for cold water swimming. He lied." Gemma spoke of the plunge of distance: "It was featured in the 1904 Olympics. It requires participants to dive into the pool, remain rigid, and float as far as they could. And they could not draw a single breath."
Could this be an indication of what the ceremony is, possible an immersion ceremony? If it is, that may explain the injections Bree was getting. I have a theory that they were giving her injections of Ketamine, which is a

general dissociative anaesthetic for human and veterinary use. Pharmacologically it is very similar to other dissociative anesthetics such as tiletamine, memantine and phencyclidine (PCP). As with many other pharmaceuticals, ketamine is used extramedically as a recreational drug....
its use on humans has been dramatically curtailed because of exaggerated concern about its potential to cause emergence phenomena including out of body experiences in clinical practice....
The drug was used in psychiatric and other academic research through the 1970s, culminating in 1978 with the publishing of John Lilly's The Scientist, a book documenting the author's ketamine, LSD, and isolation tank experiments.

But I still don't get if there is something we're supposed to find about the Olympics.
Any ideas anyone?

The only thing I found about the Olympics is this
Quote:
Two of the most well-known symbols of the Olympic Games, the Olympic rings and the torch relay, did not originate in ancient Greece, but instead were immortalized in Nazi Germany, according to the recently published book, The Naked Olympics.

Which brings us back to the Illuminati theory.

I think perhaps the Olympics are mentioned to illustrate that Gemma is encouraging them to stay put, sort of "hold their breath and wait it out".

Then again, most of the info I'm finding on the 1904 Olympics simply describe what a disaster it was...

Perhaps it is just an indicator that Gemma or Bree is "lying".

I think Ketamine could be a possibly. It's just hard to believe anything with certainty because the writers keep the story so open. It would be nice if at some point they had Gemma come out and say, "Oh, and Bree...I found out what those shots were..." <hint hint to the writers>.

As for the Olympics, the only thing thats sticks out for me is that its origins are Greek. The zodiac from Dendra, Egypt happens to be a combination of ancient Greek and Egyptian astronomy <I think>. Perhaps, the referance is a way to draw attention back to Dendra, the zodiac, and the stars. Beyond that, I got nothin.

Holy holy!! Have you ever done ketamine? I, of course haven't....uh...but my friend has, and I'm pretty sure Bree would have been acting a lot more kooky..like this: Shocked or maybe like this: Cool...possibly like this: Crying or Very sad or a combo pack of all the emoticons..at one time.
