This may have been discussed before. I decided not to bring it up, because it seemed unrelated, but now I'm going to.
I pulled this quote from the "casting call" thread under Cassie's board (the link to the casting call no longer works, btw):

If you click through the channels that Gemma's subscribed to, there's a girl named Katers17.
a) Her name follows the pattern of lonelygirl15 and gemmers19
b) Her profile says she lives in England
c) The editing style of the video is very similar to Bree's videos.
I thought briefly that she was just an actress hired to try and recreate the lonelygirl15 phenomenon in England - but then why would Gemma be subscribed to her?
She is CERTAINLY "funnier than the first," at the very least from the comments people leave about her; everyone seems to think she's more interesting than lonelygirl.
Does anyone else think she's worth keeping an eye on?

And that she is waaaay too funny to be real?

I like her too! But there's nothing that I've seen to lead us to think they're related.
She's fun to watch though! And it's pretty clear she's watched LG15 and wants to be like Bree.

i like her as well....funny and creative.
But your right, there really isn't anything to lead us to believe that they are somehow connected...
but if you think about it they could push the story line that they haven't heard of lonelygirl yet, and then one day she just stumbles onto her and realizes she is talking about something she knows about...or doesn't ... or i don't know. They could spin a story line with it.
either way....Katers is still funny, but i just don't see a connections. At least she's getting more views now that we're curious.

Since there hasn't been any evidence yet that Katers17 is any way related to LG15, I'm going to move this to the Fan Videos section. I know, technically it's not a fan video, but it's pretty clear that either Katers17 watched LG15 and tries to emulate Bree, or they both watched the same video blogs.
If evidence is found that Katers is related, we'll move this.

I don't see her being LG15-related as of yet; you'll note that Gemma came right out at the beginning addressing videos to Bree, while Katers17 hasn't said a blessed thing in any of her vids about Bree.
That said, I do think Katers17 is a fictional character--she's absolutely gorgeous, funny, and totally a male nerd's fantasy (vid. all her hobbies, interests, reading list etc). She's a fictitious character alright, I'm just not sure she's a fictitious character inhabiting the LG15 'verse.

The editing and lighting in Katers17 isn't as good as it is in LG15. Also she looks out her window and films London, that's something the creators of LG15 can't do easily .
And she's defiantly male nerd's fantasy and most likely acting like that. I mean what's with all the dressing up? Especially as Lara Croft
