IS anyone else starting to wonder if Ms. Kelly and the HSA are cannon? I've heard that the creators might bring in fan vids and TWjaniak has had some contact with her int he past...? _________________ That's Fat-Fantastic! |

Oh yeah!
Especially since her most recent video discussed using the time in seclusion to plan and then know when it is time to act
and right after Bree comes out of her room saying she is ready to act....
too coincidental ! _________________ "Children analyze fantasy. They know you're kidding them. There's got to be logic in the way you kid them. Their fun is pretending...making believe they believe it." Dr Seuss |

I haven't participated in HSA, but I know that any sharing of ideas from the Creators to HSA (even if not making the HSA canon) would be nice! There should be some way to reward Ms. Kelly for keeping this going so long and helping so many people have fun! _________________ President of the Owen Fan Club |

Has she been going this whole time? I thoughts she stopped for a few months? It's one of the reasons I started thinking that she was cannon, because she suddenly reappeared. _________________ That's Fat-Fantastic! |

Not sure...perhaps one of the loyal followers could shed light.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Creators acknowledged HSA in a video, which might not mean it would play a role in the storyline but would be nice. I think the people who put in a lot of hard work over the long term would enjoy that kind of perk. _________________ President of the Owen Fan Club |

Hsa said it was done, but a few of us continued to follow Ms kelly on a strange journey. It never really ended, just morphed into something else and then back again.
There was a train, and an architect, and a mutiny of sorts. I would call it surreal.
While Ms Kelly was on the train, there was an interim director , but he handled things VERY poorly. Nothing really got done except for some painting.
Now Ms Kelly is back better than ever, with her cohort Prof. Cedric Boone.
I think it is a nice complement to LG15, everyone can participate, the students are all really nice and welcoming.
In fact there is an open house at hsao.net right now !
OK time to stop gushing about HSA, this is probably more than you were asking for! *leaves to do her homework* _________________ "Children analyze fantasy. They know you're kidding them. Yeah, um, check out that windmill pic in the latest HSAO video. Looks similar, if not the same from Oppy to me. _________________

I think the HSA is the perfect example of the much vaunted "interactivity". We are admittedly watching a new way of presenting a story with LG and the ability to do this kind of thing is pretty darn cool. My guess is the HSA auteur is perfectly fine playing this adjunct role and has no pretensions to intruding on the main storyline. Therein lies the potential problem with the fan interaction, getting so full of themselves that they feel they need to be part of the main story...
HSA is an adjunct to the main plot line and only requires viewing and participation by those who choose to follow it. Rich and elaborate sub-plots can be created and big fun can be had by those who choose to partake. The key (no, not SpacieGirl's) is the way that this interaction plays out with the main story. I think that productions that run totally parallel, never "Canon", are the way to go with this kind of thing. Doing so in this way means there is no chance that they will intersect with the main plotline and create continuity or other plot irregularities. We have enough of these already... It's simple mechanics, let the creators spin out this tangled web by themselves and let other spiders spin their own webs.
You don't have to be "Canon" to be cool!
Conversely, if fan interaction IS incorporated then total control of the production must then go to the LG creative team. Otherwise, potential for all kinds of mayhem will result ... BrandJack is another issue and fodder for another discussion.
I find all of this very interesting! _________________ All Your Base are Belong to Bukanator |

So far I've seen no evidence that the Creators have ever actually integrated a fanvid into the plot, and it's kind of discouraging me (making me wonder if they ever really plan to, or if it's a hook to keep us involved). But we can always hope. _________________ Always Listening. |
