Well at the casino my stepdad works at everyone donates a couple dollars to the United Way (it goes for the Special Olympics, which my step dad participated in for several years with his sister who has Down's Syndrome), and they get entered into a drawing. And they won! She was all sorts of excited. |

It's awesome timing because they're in the process of re-doing their house (it was my grandmothers), so this money is a nice extra Xmas present for them.  |
That is awesome timing, we have been trying to redo our house for almost four years now, we are having to take things one room at a time because of the moolah issue.

Dude, I got him this game he really wanted for his birthday (the 21st), so he's gonna be pretty much involved with that for the next 3 months. He wont notices if we run around naked with tin foil hats.

I feel ya!! I've been helping her out with a lot of the stuff (young blood and all that), and man, it feels like the work just never ends. She just got done doing new flooring in the livingroom and den, next is the carpeting on the stairs and 2nd floor. Problem is they live by the water so the ground is all damp so she's afraid that the particle board under the carpet is ruined. Bleh. Makes me never want to buy a house! |

Our house is about 50 years old and it was a fixer upper but it still had very nice structure, its a two story victorian with a wrap around porch, it will be really beautiful when we are finished but it took over a year just to make it liveable.
