I watched TWJaniak's video about Serapis and Osiris. Evidently these two killed an evil god but can you kill a god? Maybe a ritual is neccisary to keep it dead. The dance TW described sounds similar to Bree's little dance.
Could it be that the responsibility Bree talked about after her ceremony has to do with subjugating this evil god? Bree's purity was a major issue at one point probably because she needs purity to effect the evil. Dealing with an evil god is certainly dangerous for Bree but I don't think thats why Daniel is in danger.
Lets say you are a part of an ancient order, hundred of years old, burdened with the awesome responsibility of preventing the return of a great evil (sounds like a video game to me  ). You have a promising young woman who may do the job well. Now, she has meddlesome friends who get in the way and distract her from her future role in the case of Cassie and current role in the case of Daniel. You need to get rid of her distracting friends for a noble purpose.
Lucy is one of them and her job was to keep Bree focused. This includes keeping tabs on Daniel. Thats why she has pics of Daniel and I bet if he looked further he would have found pics of Cassie too.
For whatever reason this sort of thing needs to be kept secret. When Daniel broke in it was absolutely neccisary to take action against him. They probably were hesitant to take action because anything they do would bring attention to themselves but at that point they had to do something.
Only Bree can save Daniel. Soon she will be breaking into Lucy's apartment.
Well I talked alot and probably butcher the heck out the plot. I don't care if you flame away just make it amusing. |

That's an awesome idea! Lonelygirl15 The Video Game! You get to be Bree, and you have to learn a bunch of stuff cuz you're in homeschool, and you have to learn the steps for your ceremony, you can increase some of you stats by creating and posting videos on the internet and getting a larger fan base! Or perhaps you start off as Daniel, and you have to unravel the mystery of what's going on.... The Final Fantasy guys should make it. It will make a million! |

That is quite an interesting theory about what the true secret behind her religion and the ceremony is. The only question I have is if the role of the ceremony is to keep this evil god inprisoned then why is lucy still around and why are they following daniel surely it is all sorted now?

The ceremony may only be the first step, maybe even a test to see if Bree is up to it. She said afterward that she has more responsibility now but she did not elaborate on what those responsibilities are. As far everything being over and Lucy leaving well if Lucy is still there then everything is not over. Does that make sense? You know what I'm trying to say.
They are after Daniel possibly because he knows too much. Possibly because he is a distraction to Bree. The people who run the religion can justify doing, saying, and forcing Bree to do and say anything if it means in the end the evil god guy stays away. |
