It occurs to me that until the people behind this series are ready to share their honest opinions and assessment about the “outing” of their production as a production and the myriad issues brought up in this thread, this argument could go on and on without resolution. With people putting words in the mouths of the creators or making rude assumptions about others, this seems to be ripe for a flame war.

Could this thread be locked until there is an official statement regarding these issues?

I think the creators of this series know that there are loyal viewers who would like to know their thoughts on these issues. I don’t think they need to worry about alienating viewers or upsetting people. As one can read in this thread, some people are already upset and need to help in alientating others.

Some people would probably be bitter and attack others no matter what response the creators of this series provide. Some people, I sadly realize, seem to receive joy and laughter from attacking others.

This is an interesting debate: just how private are you online, and how much privacy should you expect to have when you make yourself an online personality? I Just don't think folks are discussing it in a productive way.
