i don't think this really makes her canon...

But it does tell us where the hell she gets her information.

I'm mean canon would mean that she's a part of the story. And she really isn't...at least not yet. So, to me, she's not really canon!

(and i've seen it all over the board... I don't think Niki B would appreciate people calling her a cannon. I mean those things weight a freaking ton!)

Does it really matter if she's canon or not? I support her nonetheless, and will keep watching, because her videos are great. Being a friend of the creators doesnt change things.

You know Killthesmiley, you could try forever to educate this board on the meaning of canon, that would be in vain. The phorumites are way to excited by the canon/non canon fuss. Anyway, I will sound cynical again. Do you remember that guy on YouTube who was first to find Bree's house? He had a video about it. (I don't remember his name.) He found a couple of places where episodes were shot. And suddenly he stopped making videos and removed them all from YT. Not long after that, Nikki made her first video. I think the Creators are control freaks. They called for fan creations but like to keep everything under control. Nikki is like the extras in a DVD. She doesn't bring anything to the story, but she's entertaining, fun to watch, good looking (call me anytime Nikki!) and she feeds the fans with behind-the-scene details. From the LG15 corp point of view, she works for the company as a security guard and keeps the stalkers at bay. She's fake* but perfect.

*(I have nothing against fake people. Fake people have a right to speak freely, to live a happy life, as long as they take their trash out and don't carry guns around, I'm cool with fake people. As a matter of fact, some of my best friends are fake.)

All that sounds good...plus, she's OUR liason into Breeniverse. When we want someone to go somewhere, etc...we tell Nikki, she goes and finds out little morsels for us.

being blunt here (imagine that).......

STOP FANWANKING! What this means is that the so called welcome fan interaction is BS. A "fan" apparently has to be friends with one of the cast or crew. That's what this revelation means.

I agree, this in no way means that other fan vids aren't valuable or are BS. I don't see that at all. There are some fan fictions that have gained their own following and aren't "canon".
