Hullo there. I thought I'd give my forum friends an update from the IRC. I'm sorry this couldn't happen sooner, but it all came together quickly and while I was leaving work.
Our heroic Lad is on his way to Ukiah. We all feel very confident about this one. We've all kinda been assuming it will be Ukiah since last night. It's all there in the video thread on the OpAphid forum.
I will be Lad's Operator. He should arrive in about an hour and a half.
This is a good time to remind everyone that while we want to make the drop experience enjoyable for you, the main purpose of this is to find the drop. Therefore we ask all of you to keep all off-topic conversation in #tachyon while the drop search is in progress.
We are hoping Tilt will be around for this to moderate the chat. If she's not, Shifty will be the Main chat Op.
After I post this, I will be stickying the threads about Drops and protocol. Please review and discuss.

Is there ANYWHERE that those of us not in IRC will be able to get updates from the drop? (Or at least anyone in the IRC willing to update us?)

Yes, we are very good about updating the forum. When we find something, it's the first thing I do. So look in the OpAphid forum, a drop thread will be made when we discover something.
Also, we will post text directly from chat if relevant.
