Well I apologized. I guess I just lived a sheltered life and didn't think twice about a video already widely available on the net. I just wasn't thinking and figured why not. Guess I have no soul. I don't know what came over me. It's easy to make up excuses after watching an hour of CNN. Who would've thought my stupidity would have caused even a little anger.
Anyway, game's over. No more vids. No more trace. No more story. Just shame.

Don't stop making your videos! So you made one mistake, at least you apologized and removed it in a timely manner, (meanwhile, CiW's video with the photos of the Manson murders in it still remains on YouTube...).
I liked you videos, and I wasn't speaking against you at all when I agreed the video is shameless, (I think, rather, that it's shameless that it's been recorded and purportedly spread around the internet freely).
I really do hope that you reconsider this and start the game up again, just taking a different route.

I can only see one of the supposedly two pictures people say are in that video. Anyways, this might not have been clear by my post, but I didn't mean to be negative towards SSA, as much as I was pointing out that I had seen people around here say that they didn't find the Manson murder photos that offensive or distasteful, but SSA uses footage from the war and takes out the part where anyone is actually killed and gets ripped for it. I wasn't aware that actual photos of dead people, no matter how quickly they flip by, were less offensive than footage of people before they're shot. Is it just because the Manson murders are 'old news' and the war is more current? (I'm honestly curious.)

If people can speculate over the CiW videos, (and even wish that CiW would come back), when one included equally or more offensive material, I see nothing wrong with people suspending reality and speculating over a military video.
All that being said, I think SSA did the right thing in taking his video down when people started getting upset about it. At least he had more sense than CiW did...

No no no. I can't go on. The shame is just too great. I don't think I'll make another video as long as I live. It's the only way to heal the pain that I have caused. So, it's best to turn away from my horrid fake videos and to never think about them again.
Oh, and don't bother searching YouTube for my videos. You won't find anything there. |

I really wish you'd reconsider your decision. A lot of people here liked your videos and enjoyed watching them. We still have stuff to figure out.

They've been gone since early yesterday, I believe. I was going under the assumption that he probably saved the videos on his computer, though, and could re-upload them

SSA posted a video the night that Bree posted "Daniel is Missing!" saying they'd located this "Daniel" person somewhere in California. He used some military footage in which Iraqi insurgents get shot by the army, but he cut out the end where they actually get shot. A bunch of people got upset about it, so SSA took the video down. I guess people didn't stop ripping into him, though, because he eventually took all his videos down and stopped the game.
As I've said a few times in this thread, I don't get what was so much more offensive about military footage when he cut out the part when the insurgents were shot compared to the Manson murder photos in that one CiW video. I've seen much more offensive and disturbing footage in the news and the internet than what SSA used in his video, but I digress.

WTH? You sure you won't turn up again? That seems like way too much drama for one little video. You don't have to listen to just the whiners. Others did like your video's. You only needed to take down the one with war footage. Otherwise your videos were really good. |
