Welcome to the Rules & Regs section! Here, you will find everything you need to know to play OpAphid without getting in trouble. You will notice that all of the threads in this section are locked. We do not want this section to become a discussion section, but you are always willing to PM tiltingwindward, Sad Panda, TigerlilyLynn, romanceismusic, or any other Operator with suggestions for changes or edits. We are very, very open to suggestion; but we don’t want discussion about the rules to overwhelm discussion about the game.
Before we get started, here are some clarifications:
Parallax
This is the section for solving puzzles, discussing drops, analyzing results, and recapping events. All the threads in this section will be labeled with one of the following labels:

[VIDEO]: This thread is for discussing new OpA, Tachyon, or Brother videos, including drop videos.
[DROP]: Here’s the thread to watch during a drop, and for discussing the contents of the drop once it is recovered. In that case, we might start a new thread or rename this one to say [DROP DISCUSS] or [DROP ANALYZE]
[PUZZLE]: The place to solve puzzles we get, no matter whether they come from a drop, a YT update, or strange emails. All puzzles get labeled as a [PUZZLE] thread.
[SPECULATION]: This is a label we will try to use infrequently, since almost everything that counts as speculation should occur in General Discussion. Occasionally, however, we will give a thread this label—for example, if an LG15 plot element seems to warrant some special discussion in our section.
[RECAP]: Once a puzzle is over, it can be difficult to follow the steps that led to the conclusion. If a recap post needs to be written, you’ll find it here.
[ARCHIVE]: This thread is ONLY for archiving items described in the thread subject. NO discussion of any kind is allowed on this thread, unless the first post explicitly says otherwise.

General Discussion
Everything else goes here. We do ask that if you’re going to post about something completely unrelated to the game—carrot cake, pictures, etc.—you try to keep the topics to things that are specifically relevant to the OpA community. If you want to ask about what camera to buy or talk about Klingons, please do that in Off The Cuff. However, if you and six Oppites had a hilarious discussion about limes that you want to share with the rest of the community, please feel free to put it here.
Additional Note: Threads labelled [Tee Hee] are our just-for-fun threads, and should not be taken seriously, under pain of death.
Prologue
Where the older threads for past story arcs go. Theoretically, all the I in APHID posts will go here at some point.
You’ll see a number of threads below with various rules, policies, and help sheets. Please read them, because some important changes have occurred, and we will be enforcing these rules. And again, don’t hesitate to PM us with any further questions or comments. If you don't see something here and you'd like to, let us know!
