Saturday night Jami, my husband, another friend and I went to the only club in our sad little town to see Trick Pony play.

Let me interject now into this sad sad story to say I never ever go to this club and the only reason I went on this night was we were previously at a Poker tournement and a guy that was at Jami and Josh's table offered them some free tickets to the show, so it really couldnt be turned down.

So, we go, they play, we dance, grand times are being had by all. Jami, Kim and I made the choice to get a little closer and brave our way through the crowd during such we get roughed up a bit in a little cop on drunken civilian scuffle but eventully make it to the stage where we dance some more and then I ultimatley discover that my $2,000 diamond tennis bracelet is no longer on my wrist.

We immediatly re traced our steps, but the place was completely packed and there was no finding the shiney senimental object...

This morning Josh and I went and talked to the cleaning crew. They didnt find it, but they said there is a group that goes in and cleans up a little the night before so we will need to talk to the manager tomarrow. He also said that the staff is pretty shady there so we might need to offer a reward to get it back. I'm also going to put an ad in the paper, maybe someone picked it up and is willing to return it for a little moolah.

Its not just that the bracelet was tres expensive, it was also that it ment so much to both of us.
See, I followed Josh 400 miles from our hometown to live with him in a tiny apartment and have zero friends and I was pretty unhappy there... so that first christmas as husband and wife when we barely had money to get to and from work he bought me that bracelet...

I just hope someone is honest enough to return it.

I'm sorry about that =(

I've lost expensive things too...Just recently for Christmas, my parents bought me a pair of gold hoop earrings...they were big hoops so they were around 100 dollars. (not saying this can be compared next to your 2K bracelet but..) I went to try on clothes at Kohls just a week later, and lost one earring. >.< I looked all over the place at Kohls and never found it. My boyfriend knew how much it upset me so he bought me another pair for the same price two weeks later. Then the same thing happened...I lost one at Kohls again. >.< It was unbelievable. I felt so stupid, ALL OVER AGAIN. In the past 10 years, I can honestly say those were the only things I have ever truely lost.

I hope that your luck is better than mine and someone is, indeed, honest enough to turn it in or smart enough to not throw it away!

Thanks guys, I really hope so too. Josh is going to talk to mthe manager today but they don't open until noon.

It makes me so mad at myself.. I know it really couldnt have been prevented but I have been so cautious about that bracelet. I never wear it out. The only reason I wore it that night is because I had no idea when leaving the house we would end up there and I really wish I would have had the sense enough to leave it in the car in my purse or something but I just wasent thinking about it at the time.

I really really hope I can get it back. I don't want to new one, I want that one!
Everyone cross your fingers for me.

Josh talked to the manager and he said no one has turned it in but he will let them all know we are offering a reward... Its kinda sad that we have to offer a reward to possibly get it back from the staff...
And my ad starts running in the paper today, but I'm starting to lose hope.

No matter what happens, even though this is hard to do---you have to not blame yourself for losing it...some things are meant to be and some things are not. Think of it as itself losing you..it decided to leave---it wasn't your choice.
