Wouldja believe electromechanical engineering, but not a student or teacher? That's probably why I like this fuzzy stuff for entertainment. It's about as far removed from gears and amperes as you can get.

Fair enough. Do stick around and post often. Your insight is definitely welcome.

I have a theory about theories, which I guess would make it a metatheory.

Humans are time- and causality-oriented creatures. Our main means of survival is understanding how and why things happen so that we can cause them to happen when we want them to and prevent them from happening when we don't. As such, we are driven to try to understand anything and everything that crosses our path, to the point that we perceive patterns where they don't really exist. We hear music in raindrops hitting the ground, and see faces in clouds. We're most comfortable when we believe that we understand our environment and have a self-consistent set of explanations for what our senses are telling us. To steal a line from someone's sig here - "It's an anomaly, anomalies bug me". Being right or wrong are not as important as being consistent. Ultimately, this is what all philosophy boils down to - a search for a conceptual framework that includes the available facts.

Lg15 is a sort of Rorschach test writ in video. Everyone has to put together an interpretation which satisfies him- or herself, and find ways to make the facts fit into the theory. There are so many facts and so many loose ends which may be read ambiguously that no one will ever be able to tie up every line and camera shot into one grand unified theory that explains everything, so some of the information must be left pending, and this is where each person's individuality comes into play. Someone who believes the Illuminati, for instance, are behind everything will seize on anything that could conceivably point to them as vindication for his theory and leave the rest in abeyance until some other piece of information allows each piece to be explained as Illuminati-related. Ditto for aliens, rosicrucians, or any other explanation the individual may hold dear. In the end, each person's private interpretation of the experience is a reflection of the person rather than the experience itself. This, of course, is the very definition of gnosis.

Jumpin' Jezuz, that is not what I sat down to write. Oh, well. STET

You are brilliant. If it wasn't so long, I'd quote you in my sig. Bravo!

ok this is right after bree makes a break for it. the one in the middle is bree's dad, you can tell by the hat he's wearing. the one on the right is a woman [lucy?], you can tell by her long hair.

then the camera looks away as jonas starts to run towards the car, and a gunshot is heard. he looks back, and this is the clearest screenshot i took.

some people have suggested that Bree's dad's body can be seen being carried towards the car. this is a possibility, i've highlighted what could be two figures carrying a body.

jonas looks away again, then looks back as he gets back into the car and sees definitely one, probably two, and possibly more figures. this is the definite first person.

In this screenshot you can see two figures, one on each side, and an unknown number of figures in the middle. this is the unedited screenshot.

this is the highlighted version.

the real question here is, there were only 9.5 seconds in between the gun shot, and the last two screenshots.

*is there anyone in the red area?

*if there isn't, the two highlighted in blue must have been the ones to carry the body, asssuming here is one.

* is ten seconds enough to carry the body to the car?

*if not, do the people in the red area [if there are any] still have the body in the last shot?

i leave this to you, analysis is my strongest point, not speculation.

Someone posted an Aleister Crowley quote a long, long time ago about how he believed that your loyalty should be to religion over and above your loyalty to family, including children. I wish I could find it, but I can't. Too many things coming up in search, and I can't find it on the Net.

BTW, great post, luz.

EDIT: Got name wrong.

Luzdzus, great theory. I would have bet that you were a grad student of some sort, even though I didn't see the word "deconstruction" anywhere in your post. I agree with Lurker -- keep posting; I'll really be interested in your thoughts.

I do not see anything in the red area. And I do not think that you can load a body in ten seconds.

Regardless of what actually happened in the Garage, there is no way to tell if Bree's father is dead. Lets assume that there was nothing was staged to fool Bree, and events happened exactly as they apeared to.

Even if bree's dad was actually shot, Bree Daniel and Jonas got out of there too fast to find out if the shot was fatal. Maybe Bree's dad was wounded but survived. Unless the shout blew his brains out, Bree couldn't know for fact that her dad is dead.

Oh, I think it's entirely possible. Two strong guys carry the body, someone else (maybe Lucy) unlocks the trunk. It could easily be done in ten seconds.

Get a watch and see how long ten seconds actually is; it's not as short a time as you think it is.

I am actually starting to believe that he couldn't be dead. With how quick the shot happened.

I mean I have to agree with Misty here. There are many ways to wound someone with a gun and only a few ways to kill someone with a gun.

Even if he were injured, I don't think they'd let him live. The only way I can see that he might be alive is if the whole thing was a ruse.

Ye, this is really confusing me. There are so many conflicts that disprove her Dad being alive. I mean, what would the whole point of faking his death do? Plus, he revealed information to Bree that the Order probably wouldn't want revealed as it would change her opinion overall and therefore she wouldn't want to do the ceremony. Free will seems to be a big part of the ceremony.

if you watch the video in that area, it looks a lot more possible that there are people there.

also, i agree with longlostposter in that two men probably could load a body in the trunk in 10 seconds.
