First, you have to upload the avatar to a website like photobucket. Or, you could browse websites like photobucket untill you find something you like. Then go to your profile, enter in the URL of the avatar, and click submit. If that doesn't make any sense, PM me.

Last question and I'll stop pestering. Now I know how to insert the avatar (thanks CNG!), but do I have to search for one that is already standard size. If not, how do you change it?
Yes,  I am so not computer-saavy. Can you tell?

This is where my computer knowledge ends. If you have the file and it just isn't small enough, I know someone who could resize it for you. If you found it on a website and it isn't small enough, I don't know what you can do.

If you use photobucket you can have photobucket resize it for you when you upload it. right under where you browse to put the photo in, it says sizing options, they actually have an avatar option for size. If you need more help let me know, and I'll try to give you better directions. |

yup what CNG said. use photobucket it's really good. If the image is on another website just save it to your computer first then up load it on photobucket. That's the best way to go about it. (I'm sure there are other pic uploading sites out there, but I use photobucket, it's free and simple). and like she said it's the first code (the url one). |

If you use photobucket, click on Uploading Options to get a list of sizes, like avatar, thumbnail, etc. Also you can upload from a URL there too, if you don't want to download it to your computer, it saves some time that way.
Oh and if anyone wants to use one of my avvys above^^ you can click it and it will pop up in another window, then just use that link.

The only bad thing about not saving them to your computer is if you don't and the person who has the photo up takes it down, your avatar is gone too. That's why I recommend saving them to your computer first.

niceness! but you need to put under the "ice breakers" avvie "ice breakers; official gum for evading the Order" or whatever they did for it on the LGPedia

I checked the LGPedia and it said "the official gum for psyching your friends", but I thought "the official gum for evading the order" was cuter. I just edited my post above to add it. Anyway, thanks that makes it even better, I kept the old one to though, I still like it.
