If Virginia Heffernan reported on cassiewatching before the first video was ever posted, she must have had an inside informat; despite what the Creators have said. They either are lying or have a leak who they can't identify. Could Cassieiswatching and LonesomeOctober have been created by the same person? Could this person be supplying Heffernan with information? Has anyone contacted her to learn more information?

I just received a response from Virginia, I don't know who else has contacted her but I couldn't find any more information here.

She basically said that she was tipped off about the Cassieiswatching 'story' via morse code sms messages, weird skype phonecalls and reverse voice messages. She said whoever it was had the location of the swimming hole and therefore she assumed they were related to the creators.

Make of that what you will :p

I agree, if I was tipped off like that, I'd make a huge deal of it and certainly mention it as part of the story...

I was tipped off to it in weird ways: Morse-code text messages, Skype
IMs with a mysterious name, and that screwy audio file. The only
proof that what the person was saying was true is that he/she/they/it

Yeah, I really would love to believe she got tipped off in the sinister way...but, yeah. If she has contact with the creators, wouldn't she just ask them?

I responded just saying it was interesting, gave her the benefit f the doubt and just shared some views on what I think of the cassie thing right now.

I thought other people had emailed her and got responses though? On another thread here someone said someone did this but there was no response posted even though she'd apparently replied. I wasn't even going to bother since I assumed it had been done and I didn't expect a response, hence my brief mail to her.
