I haven't seen her make these attacks. Even if you only did it in the post I noticed, you still did it, and thus got warned. Bethy will get warned if/when I see her make personal attacks.

No, they don't. I never claimed they did. I just wanted to take a moment to show my appreciation for one of my fellow mods, and your post provided an opportunity for me to do so. Sorry if you thought I meant anything else by that.

OK. Now you are attacking, which is exactly what you're defending yourself from. And again, personal attacks have no place here. Things are difficult enough as-is. If you feel attacked, PM a moderator. Let us handle those things.

I just wanted to point out that while one definition of 'hanky panky' is unethical behaviour or deceit, another one is "illicit sexual relations,' which is the definition more closely connotated with that term for many people. i think that is where sphinx is coming from for a lot of her statement.
I dont mean to bring it up again, I just wanted to show why there is some misunderstanding of the arguments on both sides.

If you think that boulder is heavy now, IRR, just wait till you get Boulder Cleaner pop-ups! That stuff those pop-ups spray on those boulders is virtual(ly) concrete, I'm tellin' ya! <shudder>

Really? Well, I've never used it a sexual reference before. I've always known that term to mean something like deceit or trickery, or something that in't 100% on the up and up.
So, I can see what what sphinx may have been inferring...that I was saying we knew something sexual was going on. Well, that is 100% not true. I never had any clue or indication at the time. However, reading the rest of my words would have kind of inferred that and put my use of the term hanky-panky into the proper context. ..but...whatever.
Hindsight, though, is a wonderful thing...because certain odd comments that were out of place or over my head make much more sense now. However, prior to just a few days ago, I never once assumed or had any indication anything sexual in nature was going on. And you bet your ass, if I did...someone would have known about it long before now. |

*just caught up on the thread...and holy freakin' god...jeez, we went from a no drama rule, no flaming rule, to completely forgeting who posted what. BTW...the only ever racist posts I've ever have seen on the board were made by the god forsaken Glowe! lol. So I don't know where the Bethy=Racist situation began...i think that was just ridiculous and trying to throw bowling balls at people there*

| To be fair, I think I remember what post sphinx was refering to... and no I didn't think it was racist but I can see how someone might. I think it's one of those misunderstandings with how people use some expressions, kinda like the hanky-panky thing. |
