In Jonas's video she said "God knows I wasn't any good at playing the game". Now, I know a lot of photographers, but I've never heard of it called "the game". I wonder what she was taking pictures of...

I think she was just talking about the kind of glad-handing and butt-kissing it takes to become successful in lots of professions. That process is frequently referred to as "playing the game."
