Can someone please tell me how I can join lonelycracksanonymous. I've been in denial about my problem for quite some time, but I can no longer avoid the ugly truth.

First time posting in this thread (don't know why). I'm Juli (obviously), f, 46, from Louisiana, US.

Maybe I should share my story:

I began watching LG after stumbling across a (very out-dated) video on YouTube about the series being a fake. I decided to investigate. I watched all the videos (the most recent at the time was "Breaking & Entering" I believe), and found it hilarious that anyone could have believe the series was real. Afterall, I could tell that Jessica Lee Rose was no 16 year old girl.

But, I decided to keep watching. In fact, I joined the forums under a name I thought would be funny "lonelyelendi." I had no idea how vast the community was, and assumed I was the first to mimic the name "LonelyGirl15." I was wrong.

My first post was in 'The Videos' forum about Epogen. Soon, I began making my own prediction videos. Eventually, I found my way to the GTKEO and OTC forums, where I made myself a home.

I became so hooked on lonelycrack that I even joined an ARG community revolving around the "GuillotineCalamity" (AKA "Sister") story-arc. I became a moderator of another forum (where I am now an administrator), and decided I would make a character.

I called him "Cirion E." He was based off of someone mentioned in one of that story-arc's videos.

I came to a dark point in my life, and decided to clean up and join LCA. I am happy to sit before you sober for 2-minutes. I'm one of LCA's true success stories. I can go days without checking the forums.

Now, I spend time trying to save others who are like I was.

OK, I'll share a little of my experience here (ok, alot).

I first found lonelygirl after she was outed. At that time the latest vid was "In the Park". I then watched all the vids in succession in one sitting. This alone should have told me I could not do lonelygirlcrack in moderation.

From there I started watching CiW (ralph), and before I knew it, I was in the forums many hours each day. However, approximately a month later, I had an unpleasant experience with one of the moderators, and decided to go cold turkey. I remained out of the forums for close to two months (though I kept up with the videos), and thought I had conquered the addiction; I was wrong.

As I said, two months went by, and then I relapsed. My urge to return to the forum became unbearable. My shame (and desire to keep my identity from aforementioned mod), led me to obtain a new screen name, and I was once again drawn into the nightmarish hell of addiction, spending hours and hours in the forum once again for days on end.

Let me gather the strength to say it:

Hi, I'm Juli, and I am a lonelygirlcrack addict.

Ahhh, I feel so much better now.

ETA: Hi, Cloud ax. I believe your addiction can be handled here as well; all addictions are driven by the same desires, I believe.

BTW, I should say that Colbertnationsgirl first came up with "lonelycrack addiction". I though she'd already established a thread for it, but I guess I was wrong.

I guess I should share how it started for me.
I was up late one night surfing YouTube, when I came across a strange video by Lonelygirl15. I had never heard of her, but had seen her picture on YouTube many times. I watched it. I was totally confused, but very intrigued, so I started at the beginning. I watched as many as I could in one sitting, and then watched the rest in my free time. I started watching them around the time of the "Where's Daniel?" video. At first, I thought she was real. I was completely perplexed. I was worried about her. She was being chased by evil people. But then I started reading some of the comments people had left, and it dawned on me that it was FAKE. I was totally relieved! I wasn't disappointed at all. I was just happy that I didn't have to call the police (lol) From that moment on, I was hooked. I watched the videos on YouTube as they came out, and then one day ventured to Lonelygirl15.com. I lurked for a short time, then joined the forum. That's when the insanity began.

I can't leave the LG15 board. I just refresh and refresh and refresh, looking for the next new post.

It's getting in the way of my work and my family relationships.
