And you know why that is? Because youtube was never intended for serious content creators. It's meant for the general public as a means to express themselves, not as a space where people with commercial interests can promote themselves or their products. |
Where on Youtube does it say that? That was a rhetorical question. It doesn't say that anywhere. That's just an assumption that many people chose to make ... an erroneous assumption it turns out. Am I the only one that's noticed networks touting their new fall shows on Youtube? That's just one example. There are countless examples of revenue generating entities using Youtube to direct viewers to their products.

That's not really true. I don't think that Brookers intended to become popular or generate revenue and yet she's now gone. She's off to greener pastures to make money.

Once again, please point me to where that's stated by the creators of Youtube. I think that all it's intended to be is a place where people can share videos for any purpose they desire. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. If I am please point me to where that's stated.

To Clarify My Earlier Comments:
I am not against the Creators making money. I think that the model behind Revver is not a bad idea, so I can understand exactly why they're moving there.
I guess I'm just disappointed in Revver as a video host? Yeah - probably.
