ok kansas city is the city of fountains.
night club is called hurricane - a stormy locale.
the numbers on the paper were 8404 but there was an arrow pointing to the left. making it 4048.
we decided that it was a typo. or just to make our lived difficult _________________ -Kelly |

Pill, you don't pay attention, do you?
I'm not against posting chat logs. I never HAVE been. I'm against hypocritical mods saying it's not okay one day but okay the next.
There's nothing stopping you from posting an explanation, though. Which is what I asked for.
"We figured it out in chat" --- what the hell?? The exact attitude that isn't helpful.
Now you know why I can't stand some of you. |

I took a shortcut. I used to be in the music business.
Once they deciphered the text, I figured that "Stormy Venue" and "Fountain Town" meant the Hurricane in Kansas City. The address matched the reverse of the number sequence. _________________ It's STILL all connected... |

Thank you, kelly and trainer. I appreciate the summary. It would have been better if you'd put that in your initial post, though.
As for the chat logs, I've seen moderators here say no chat logs as a matter of forum policy, not ARG policy.
Convenient edit.
But like I said, I think Flaut's in KC;

Yes, she is. In fact, I know (with a fuzzy doubt) where the Hurricane is.
I'll reiterate what I told TOSG via PM. I don't have a video recording device in which to document the drop. I have a mediocre digi-cam at the moment as my better camera is being borrowed and won't be available for a week and a half.
And, uh, to unleash the girly side of me, Broadway/Westport is not somewhere I'd like to be that time of night. But, seeing as I'm in KC, I'll try to do something, if necessary. _________________ Vice President of the Owen Fan Club

At least this ARG is going all over the place, not just along the west coast. This is great! Maybe there will be a drop in Boston soon!
Great job puzzle solvers, your awesome and I dunno how you do it really.

Well...I could take pictures. Also, I should bring up my collegiate obligation of finals beginning this weekend. Understandably I spend much of my time on here, but that is due to change.
Is there anyone else in the area who could do it? I definitely can't go tonight. The Hurricane is a good 30 minutes away from my location and, as I said, not enough time to rally together a bunch of friends to venture into that shady part of town.
I have to leave soon, so PM me with the 'yes' or 'no' but I'll do what I can if need be... _________________ Vice President of the Owen Fan Club

Posted here again for good measure:
Let's be serious here for a moment. No one takes the time to create a fucking puzzle so hard that we can't figure it out - WE can't figure it out - in a day - and has it decode to a drop in a location that an ARG player has not been confirmed to be living in.
Do you know what I mean? There's something wrong here - these guys have created a seriously awesome ARG and taken the time to do this...but didn't confirm the most important part: there is someone IN KC to get the fucking drop!?
something's up. And Flaunta, don't put yourself in a situation that is sketchy - if you're not comfortable picking up the drop at night, DON'T DO IT!!! Let's be reasonable, if it's in a sketchy part of town, we're truly in the end dealing with people WE DON'T KNOW. We don't KNOW if it's safe, even if they intend for it to be so. These are regular people, making an ARG. Shit can happen - I'm not suggesting it will, but it can.
I know what it's like to be in finals right now, and it's not fair to ask Flaunta to go get a package in an area she's not comfortable in, at night, during exams.
If this is the right location, then it is irresponsible of the PMs to choose a location that doesn't have at least 2 or 3 confirmed ARG players willing to pick up the package. I'm disappointed in this case. _________________ my love tastes a lot like tofu.
