Er. If there's one thing I hate about LG15, it's that it's perpetuated stereotypes about homeschoolers from the start. I don't completely blame them; it's a good plot device, but I was exclusively homeschooled right up to college, and I never felt overly pressured or deprived of social interaction. While there are probably a few homeschoolers like that, some of the most social, well-rounded (and intelligent and informed) people I know are my fellow homeschoolers.
Uh oh. I just realized I might have started a forum debate rabbit trail! Nobody reply to this, PLEASE, even people who would be on my side! |

So you're in the Hymn of One, huh?
Just kidding.
Edit to add: I was actually homeschooled in junior high and high school, and I wasn't saying that you're as loopy as the Hymn of One homeschooled kids. Even though I said "just kidding" I felt I should let you know that I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings. _________________ ~kittenish

I agree with you, Gawains, but there's stereotypes on everything and everyone.. I'm from Texas.. so of courseeeeeee i musttttttt ride horses and live on a farm and talk like a redneck, right?
But I also agree with the fact that alot of homeschoolers are overly controlled and sheltered, but there are alot of ones like you as well =) There are alot of kids who goto regular school, too, who are overly controlled and sheltered as well. _________________ RAWR!

*pleasepleasepleaseplease let this "I may not post videos anymore" thing be a window OUT for Jules*
Then again, Bree threatened to stop too... multiple times... gah.
I will admit. That for some reason, she doesn't bother me as much as she used to. But maybe I'm just getting used to her.
She does look more mature in this video, as compared to her first where she looked like she was 9, but I dunno. Gah.
And I agree -- I was homeschooled foreeeever, though I went back to regular schooling for High School. I lived in the middle of nowhere and we travelled a lot so I didn't really have a lot of friends that I got to see and hang out with often, but I wasn't sheltered and my parents didn't drill me to study. (It was pretty much the opposite, lol) So it is a stereotype. Even religious homeschoolers can be very social, though there are some where they're quite sheltered like the girls in this series are. But, that could just be a HoO thing, so whatever. I guess it's not a thing worth commenting on, I just felt like weighing in.
I dunno. *boots Jules one last time for the hell of it* _________________ O_O The Hymn of One is Fun. The Hymn of One is Fun. The Hymn of One is Fun. O_O |

true, jules needs more cowbell.
really i disagree with the idea that's she's better in this. i thought the previous ones were funnier and cuter. but this was poor cue card reading.
i like her tho, for a brief arc. not a main character. _________________ "Lighten up, Francis." |
