The following is my attempt to explain the "xwestsidex" situation to anyone who was not around when it began or was not aware that it was happening. I attempt here to be as objective as possible, but obviously I am biased toward defending myself, so I provide as many links of edits as possible to prove my point. My purpose is solely informative and this should not be construed as an attack on anyone.

It all started back on April 5, 2007, with the video [[Lying Bastards]], when [[User:Xwestsidex]] [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Special%3ALog&type=upload&user=&page=Image%3AMmm...fish+taco.JPG uploaded] "Image:Mmm...fish taco.JPG". Immediately after, Xwestsidex [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Lying_Bastards&diff=prev&oldid=33225 added] the image to [[Lying Bastards]]. Next, he [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Lying_Bastards&diff=next&oldid=33225 added] a caption. [[User:Misty]] shortly afterwards [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Lying_Bastards&diff=prev&oldid=33234 changed] the caption to something else. The next day, the action broke out again when Misty [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Lying_Bastards&diff=next&oldid=33339 modified] the caption somewhat and Xwestsidex [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Lying_Bastards&diff=next&oldid=33340 changed] it as well (note that [[Special:Contributions/152.163.100.209|152.163.100.209]] is Xwestsidex's IP). It was then changed a [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Lying_Bastards&diff=next&oldid=33348 couple] [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Lying_Bastards&diff=next&oldid=33349 times] by [[User:Chelseyrl]] and Misty. Sensing that this could be a problem, I [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Talk%3ALying_Bastards&diff=33353&oldid=33261 posted] a comment on [[Talk:Lying Bastards]] in an attempt to resolve the issue. A lengthy discussion followed, after which a compromise was eventually reached. During this, however, Xwestsidex [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Lying_Bastards&diff=next&oldid=33401 edited] the page again, changing the caption to what he wanted it to be and putting "fuck you! I put up the picture! I should be able to name it what I want!" in the edit summary. The caption was later [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Lying_Bastards&diff=next&oldid=33453 removed] by an [[Special:Contributions/24.162.112.208|anonymous user]]. At the same time, Misty [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Special%3ALog&type=upload&user=&page=Image%3A166+no+ho+in+mexico.JPG uploaded] [[:Image:166 no ho in mexico.JPG]]. She then [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Lying_Bastards&diff=next&oldid=33461 changed] the image in the video and also re-added her old caption. Noticing that these were identical images, I [[Special:Undelete/Image:Mmm...fish_taco.JPG|added]] (sorry, you need to be an admin for the link to work, but there's nothing I can do about that) a delete tag to "Image:Mmm...fish taco.JPG". A few days later, seeing no objections to the deletion proposal, I [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Special%3ALog&type=delete&user=&page=Image%3AMmm...fish+taco.JPG deleted] the image.

A few days later, on April 9, Xwestsidex (now using IP [[Special:Contributions/75.26.20.124|75.26.20.124]]) [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Hug_It_Out&diff=33999&oldid=33998 added] a caption to the video [[Hug It Out]]. He then [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Hug_It_Out&diff=next&oldid=34000 modified] his caption, putting "editing caption...dont FUCKIN change it!" in the edit summary. Although User:HyeMew had [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Hug_It_Out&diff=next&oldid=34019 changed] the caption, claiming "We need a better caption than the gangsta southside one", I still felt that Xwestsidex's edit summary was inappropriate. So, I [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=User_talk:75.26.20.124&diff=prev&oldid=34031 posted] a comment on [[User talk:75.26.20.124]] requesting that he use the talk page to work things out. A couple of days later, he [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=User_talk:75.26.20.124&diff=next&oldid=34031 replied] on the same page, but not before yet again [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Lying_Bastards&diff=prev&oldid=34455 changing] the caption on [[Lying Bastards]] with an edit summary of "Imma keep changing it, dont try it." Seeing that he was refusing to participate in the discussion, continuing to change the caption despite being warned, and claiming that he would continue to act this way in the future, I made the decision to [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=Special:Log&type=block&page=User:75.26.20.124 impose] a one-week block on his account, providing the following as my reason: "continuing to change image captions against community consensus and general disrespect toward other editors". I then [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=User_talk:75.26.20.124&diff=next&oldid=34460 posted] a comment on his talk page basically telling him that I had blocked him and to "Have a fun week off!". Less than a day later, he used another IP address ([[Special:Contributions/207.62.208.2|207.62.208.2]]) to make a [{{SERVER}}/lgpedia/index.php?title=User_talk:75.26.20.124&diff=next&oldid=34482 post] on the same page asking me to say "Sir, Im sorry I was hatin on you, and you are the biggest pimp daddy on the LG15 forums".

The original form of this page is certain to be biased as I myself wrote it, but with more authors, more objectivity can be attained. This is why I do what I do, Jonpro. The LG admins don't listen to those who want to put a great deal of humor on the forums, to make the LGpedia a place to be entertained. They worry too much about "whats inappropriate" and seriously whats the worst that could happen if we did put inappropriate shit? Howard Stern made his living that way!

And for the record I seriously don't care about the "young sensitive minds that read swearing" because if they dont know how to cuss, then they'll never survive their young years. Its a rough world out there, Jonpro. I come from a place where if you didnt know how to cuss by the 5th grade you'd get ur ass beat. Kids need to stay away from censorship!!

Perhaps you were right and your caption was better than the other one. This isn't really about that. You may have noticed that I did not get involved in the "caption debate" other than to try to prevent an edit war. I was more concerned about keeping the peace.

I don't know about on the forums (as I'm very rarely there), but here it has sort of been accepted that we keep things to a PG-13 level. I didn't make this decision, and I'm not sure anyone could pinpoint who did, and yet that seems to be the general view. However, just like everything else here (except things directly dictated by [[the Creators]]), the issue is negotiable. But this negotiation must happen in a rational, respectful manner. If you would like to start a discussion about censorship here on the LGPedia at [[LGPedia:Lucy's Balcony|Lucy's Balcony]], for instance, you have every right to do so. But any and all personal attacks or disrespect toward other users will not be tolerated.

When I said that, I was pretty angry at the way you had been acting, and I think that was justified. Perhaps I was disrespectful, but at the time I felt that you deserved worse. As for apologizing, that's not exactly what you asked for:

First of all, I was not "hatin on you", as you say. I was simply doing what I believed was the best thing to do in the situation. Second of all, what does you being a pimp have to do with anything?

Lastly, I just want to point out how immature all of this actually is. Vandalizing a wiki about an online video series does not make you "cool" and it is not an effective way of getting your point across, whatever it may be. A mature approach would be to use reason and common sense. You can hold whatever views you want, and people should respect that, so all I'm asking is that you're as respectful to everyone else as you would like them to be to you. Xwestsidex, I want you to know that I respect your right to voice your opinions regarding the LG15 series. There ''are'' a number of things in the series that can be construed as sexual references, I do not deny that. However, I don't think that the LGPedia is the right place to voice said opinions. There are plenty of other places you can create transcripts and the likes where you can make references to whatever aspects of the show you see fit. I saw you created that blog the other day, that seems like a good outlet. I just do not believe that LGPedia is the place for this.
