==Fan Interaction Through Viewer-Created Videos==

According to their post on November 24, 2006 on the [http://www.lonelygirl15.com/forum| lonelygirl15 message forum], the [[the creators]] of [[Lonelygirl15 (production)|lonelygirl15]] explained to viewers the various ways to interact with their story. Along with viewers' ability to use the official forum to discuss the plot and characters with each other and post questions, comments and suggestions to the characters via the character interaction section of the forum, the creators emboldened fans to "[c]reate your own characters and storylines within the [[Breeniverse]]." The post goes on to explain that once fans create such videos, this work can be submitted "as 'Video Comments' to a video we produce." Fans were encouraged to "Give [[Bree]] or [[Daniel]] advice. Create your own story (like [[LordGreystoke422]]) or make parody videos (like [[LonesomeOctober]])...you are only limited by your creativity." Many fans took up this challenge and began creating their own response videos. These fan-created videos are diverse in content, genre and production values.

Members of the official forum were given a section in which to discuss these fan-created works. Some of the comments about these fan creations range from praise to criticism to lengthy discussions to occasional speculation about whether or not a video response is connected to the official story. One example of such speculation surrounding an official connection to the lg15 story has revolved around the video responses of [[Nikki Bower]], whose investigative report videos have been set in many of the same locations as [[canon]] videos. This speculation could be due to the fact that two official characters, [[Gemma]] and [[Jonas]], were introduced to the audience in videoblogs under the guise of fan responses. Once Gemma and Jonas were acknowledged by Bree in her videoblog, these two characters were understood to be an official part of the Breeniverse. Speculation about other videos revolved around the fan spin-off [[OpAphid]], which became the official [[Alternate Reality Game| ARG]] of the lonelygirl15 series. OpAphid is unique in the fact that it was not created by the lg15 production team, but was rather incorporated into the series. According to a post made on November 24, 2006 on the official forum, the creators stated that OpAphid "was a 100% fan created ARG. We liked it so much that we decided to contact the creator and make it the official LG15 ARG."

In this November 24th post, the creators continue with the following statements: "We can't wait to see what other characters and storylines you guys come up with. Your creativity and passion is truly amazing." The producers of the lonelygirl15 saga are generally encouraging of fan-created materials, although they are careful not respond to, comment on or endorse these videos. Fan creations uploaded to users' [[Revver]] accounts can appear on the main page of the [http://lonelygirl15.com Tribute to Lonelygirl15 site] in a column next to the most recent lonelygirl15 video. Although referred to as "Fan Creations and Spin-offs" on the official forum, they are sometimes referred to by some viewers as [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fan_fiction Fan Fiction], although this term is generally used to describe written works by fans regarding an original story. This genre of fan-created video fiction is still developing and has yet to be named or specifically defined within the lexicon of fan-created endeavors.

The videos shared the strict rules that participants need to follow in order to remain in the program. Many viewers questioned the relationship of these videos and the [http://hsao.net/ HSA website] to the Lonelygirl15 production. Lonelygirl fans and HSA viewers soon realized that the videos and site were an independent production that ran parallel to Bree’s story. Some viewers speculated that Bree was a former participant of the program due to HSA's strict policies. Others speculated that it was a cult, trying to lure students to enroll. As it turned out, HSA was a game that followed the idea of immersive fiction more that a traditional ARG. The HSA offered no dead-drops or computer codes to break. To participate in HSA, students register by the deadline and complete written tasks that often help them find the password to the class notebook, a password-protected message forum. Since HSA discourages students from interacting or socializing, this class notebook/message forum is the place where students leave the answers to their “assignments.” Assignments range from replying to philosophical theories, to making personal connections to these ideas, to discussing issues relevant to [[Bree]]'s situation, to responding to specific pieces of art, and even creating and sharing one’s own art work.

Students find the assignments posted on the website. Videos either reinforce a lesson’s focus, provide insight to an area of examination or offer clues to the participants to figure out the assignment’s password. At HSA, when students solve the password and are ready to post their answer in the school message forum, they are said to “Bring It” to the class notebook. Interested students are free to post links to their own in-character blogs on the HSA website.

The head of school is a woman known as Rose Marie Crandall Crowley Kelly, who is married to Phillip Crowley (no relation to [[Aleister]]). She is a very strict, yet supportive instructor who encourages her students to do their best. She expects students to follow her rules without question, and those who have questioned her have had their IP addresses banned from the site. Assignments receive responses from Ms. Kelly and student work is exhibited on the website.

Throughout each term, a back story emerges involving Ms. Kelly’s exploits and those who seem interested in harming her for reasons that remain unclear. The website offers clues, blogs for additional characters such as guest instructors or former students, and links to related material. At the end of the term, students are treated to a graduation ceremony video and a certificate of completion. HSA has a small group of followers who seem to enjoy the intellectual stimulation of this game.

This is the first time that HSA’s creator has ever been involved in such a pursuit. Participants have been forgiving and patient as her stories unfold and her skills improve.

The Homeschoolers Aggregate appears to be a secular forum for gifted homeschoolers to receive informal assignments in and to discuss Literary Theory, Poetry, Art, and Moral and Ethical Philosophy. Whether the Aggregate is an accredited institution, and whether it supports other subjects outside the liberal arts, is unknown.

Internet fans of Bree stumbled across the HSAOnline introductory and training videos hosted on YouTube. The source of the lonelyfans' speculation that Bree was a student of the Homeschoolers Aggregate is unknown, but several participants of the Tribute to Lonelygirl15 Phorum flocked to register for a new session to be administered by HSAOnline's strict but supportive educator, Ms. Kelly, who continually exhorts the students to "Study up!"

Ms. Kelly and the HSAOnline administrators seem very solicitous regarding the online privacy of their student families. During its primary stages, HSAOnline appeared to be recovering from some sort of major hack of its computer systems as well as from a suspicious fire, based on some oblique comments from Ms. Kelly. 

Many of the new HSAOnline students, like many of the fans of the [[lonelygirl15]]-inspired internet game [[cassieiswatching]], which was in its heyday when HSA arrived on the scene, use [http://lonelygirl15.com/forum Bukanator's forum] as a secondary clubhouse to discuss the mysterious Aggregate.

During this period, students are invited along on a train trip by a mysterious host/architect. This train ride turns into a surrealistic and confusing journey that leads nowhere. On the train, the characters, Lyn, her mother Rebecca, laughing, Indigo (gogo) James, and Ms. Kelly, realize that they are, in fact, fictional characters whose situations, struggles and lives have been plotted by the architect, their host on the journey. The host [http://hsao.net/day1.htm mistakenly believes] that the characters will happily join together to discuss this new development. However, the characters express their shock and anger that this author’s whim has forced them to experience such difficulty and hurt. The characters refuse to oblige the author/architect/host and stay in hold up in their rooms. Although the lounge, library and drawing room art offer much to occupy the travelers, many of whom are Ms. Kelly's students, there is little else to do but watch the characters grow into people and leave the architect's story. Ms. Kelly jumps off of the train part way through the trip to get back to her family, her school and the consequences she would face for some fraudulent behavior. The videos shared the strict rules that participants need to follow in order to remain in the program. Many viewers questioned the relationship of these videos and the [http://hsao.net/ HSA website] to the Lonelygirl15 production. Lonelygirl fans and HSA viewers soon realized that the videos and site were an independent production that ran parallel to Bree’s story. Some viewers speculated that Bree was a former participant of the program due to HSA's strict policies. Others speculated that it was a cult, trying to lure students to enroll. As it turned out, HSA was a game that followed the idea of immersive fiction more that a traditional ARG. The HSA offered no dead-drops or computer codes to break. To participate in HSA, students register by the deadline and complete written tasks that often help them find the password to the class notebook, a password-protected message forum. Since HSA discourages students from interacting or socializing, this class notebook/message forum is the place where students leave the answers to their “assignments.” Assignments range from replying to philosophical theories, to making personal connections to these ideas, to discussing issues relevant to [[Bree]]'s situation, to responding to specific pieces of art, and even creating and sharing one’s own art work.

Students find the assignments posted on the website. Videos either reinforce a lesson’s focus, provide insight to an area of examination or offer clues to the participants to figure out the assignment’s password. At HSA, when students solve the password and are ready to post their answer in the school message forum, they are said to “Bring It” to the class notebook. Interested students are free to post links to their own in-character blogs on the HSA website.

The head of school is a woman known as Rose Marie Crandall Crowley Kelly, who is married to Phillip Crowley (no relation to [[Aleister]]). She is a very strict, yet supportive instructor who encourages her students to do their best. She expects students to follow her rules without question, and those who have questioned her have had their IP addresses banned from the site. Assignments receive responses from Ms. Kelly and student work is exhibited on the website.

Throughout each term, a back story emerges involving Ms. Kelly’s exploits and those who seem interested in harming her for reasons that remain unclear. The website offers clues, blogs for additional characters such as guest instructors or former students, and links to related material. At the end of the term, students are treated to a graduation ceremony video and a certificate of completion. HSA has a small group of followers who seem to enjoy the intellectual stimulation of this game.

This is the first time that HSA’s creator has ever been involved in such a pursuit. Participants have been forgiving and patient as her stories unfold and her skills improve.

The Homeschoolers Aggregate appears to be a secular forum for gifted homeschoolers to receive informal assignments in and to discuss Literary Theory, Poetry, Art, and Moral and Ethical Philosophy. Whether the Aggregate is an accredited institution, and whether it supports other subjects outside the liberal arts, is unknown.

Internet fans of Bree stumbled across the HSAOnline introductory and training videos hosted on YouTube. The source of the lonelyfans' speculation that Bree was a student of the Homeschoolers Aggregate is unknown, but several participants of the Tribute to Lonelygirl15 Phorum flocked to register for a new session to be administered by HSAOnline's strict but supportive educator, Ms. Kelly, who continually exhorts the students to "Study up!"

Ms. Kelly and the HSAOnline administrators seem very solicitous regarding the online privacy of their student families. During its primary stages, HSAOnline appeared to be recovering from some sort of major hack of its computer systems as well as from a suspicious fire, based on some oblique comments from Ms. Kelly.

For a short period, HSAO's director Ms. Kelly, is institutionalized for reasons that are unclear but vaguely addressed in a video entitled [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0ItOftFyMw Rose Kelly.] There is some speculation as to whether Ms. Kelly suffers from spontaneous combustions. During this period, students are invited along on a train trip by a mysterious host/architect. This train ride turns into a surrealistic and confusing journey that leads nowhere. On the train, the characters, Lyn, her mother Rebecca, laughing, Indigo (gogo) James, and Ms. Kelly, realize that they are, in fact, fictional characters whose situations, struggles and lives have been plotted by the architect, their host on the journey. The host [http://hsao.net/day1.htm mistakenly believes] that the characters will happily join together to discuss this new development. However, the characters express their shock and anger that this author’s whim has forced them to experience such difficulty and hurt. The characters refuse to oblige the author/architect/host and stay in hold up in their rooms. One by one the characters [http://hsao.net/lastchapter.htm confront the author.] They each leave the train, vowing to become real and take hold of their own lives. Although the lounge, library and drawing room art offer much to occupy the travelers, many of whom are Ms. Kelly's students, there is little else to do but watch the characters grow into people and leave the architect's story. Ms. Kelly jumps off of the train part way through the trip to get back to her family, her school and the consequences she would face for some fraudulent behavior. In a drunken stupor, the architect finds herself left forever on an empty train, alone to wander the halls of the fictional train wreck she created.
 
Back at HSA and with her life now in her own hands, Ms. Kelly vows to turn things around. She applies for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status for her school. Back at the helm, she begins planning a new term for her students focused on [http://hsao.net/school.html/ technology and art].

The videos shared the strict rules that participants need to follow in order to remain in the program. Many viewers questioned the relationship of these videos and the [http://hsao.net/ HSA website] to the Lonelygirl15 production. Lonelygirl fans and HSA viewers soon realized that the videos and site were an independent production that ran parallel to Bree’s story. Some viewers speculated that Bree was a former participant of the program due to HSA's strict policies. Others speculated that it was a cult, trying to lure students to enroll. As it turned out, HSA was a game that followed the idea of immersive fiction more that a traditional ARG. The HSA offered no dead-drops or computer codes to break. To participate in HSA, students register by the deadline and complete written tasks that often help them find the password to the class notebook, a password-protected message forum. Since HSA discourages students from interacting or socializing, this class notebook/message forum is the place where students leave the answers to their “assignments.” Assignments range from replying to philosophical theories, to making personal connections to these ideas, to discussing issues relevant to [[Bree]]'s situation, to responding to specific pieces of art, and even creating and sharing one’s own art work.

Students find the assignments posted on the website. Videos either reinforce a lesson’s focus, provide insight to an area of examination or offer clues to the participants to figure out the assignment’s password. At HSA, when students solve the password and are ready to post their answer in the school message forum, they are said to “Bring It” to the class notebook. Interested students are free to post links to their own in-character blogs on the HSA website.

The head of school is a woman known as Rose Marie Crandall Crowley Kelly, who is married to Phillip Crowley (no relation to [[Aleister]]). She is a very strict, yet supportive instructor who encourages her students to do their best. She expects students to follow her rules without question, and those who have questioned her have had their IP addresses banned from the site. Assignments receive responses from Ms. Kelly and student work is exhibited on the website.

Throughout each term, a back story emerges involving Ms. Kelly’s exploits and those who seem interested in harming her for reasons that remain unclear. The website offers clues, blogs for additional characters such as guest instructors or former students, and links to related material. At the end of the term, students are treated to a graduation ceremony video and a certificate of completion. HSA has a small group of followers who seem to enjoy the intellectual stimulation of this game.

This is the first time that HSA’s creator has ever been involved in such a pursuit. Participants have been forgiving and patient as her stories unfold and her skills improve.

The Homeschoolers Aggregate appears to be a secular forum for gifted homeschoolers to receive informal assignments in and to discuss Literary Theory, Poetry, Art, and Moral and Ethical Philosophy. Whether the Aggregate is an accredited institution, and whether it supports other subjects outside the liberal arts, is unknown.

Internet fans of Bree stumbled across the HSAOnline introductory and training videos hosted on YouTube. The source of the lonelyfans' speculation that Bree was a student of the Homeschoolers Aggregate is unknown, but several participants of the Tribute to Lonelygirl15 Phorum flocked to register for a new session to be administered by HSAOnline's strict but supportive educator, Ms. Kelly, who continually exhorts the students to "Study up!"

Ms. Kelly and the HSAOnline administrators seem very solicitous regarding the online privacy of their student families. During its primary stages, HSAOnline appeared to be recovering from some sort of major hack of its computer systems as well as from a suspicious fire, based on some oblique comments from Ms. Kelly.

The videos shared the strict rules that participants need to follow in order to remain in the program. Many viewers questioned the relationship of these videos and the [http://hsao.net/ HSA website] to the Lonelygirl15 production. Fans soon realized that the videos and site were an independent production that ran parallel to Bree’s story. Some viewers speculated that Bree was a former participant of the program due to HSA's strict policies. Others speculated that it was a cult, trying to lure students to enroll. As it turned out, HSA was a game that followed the idea of immersive fiction more that a traditional ARG. The HSA offered no dead-drops or computer codes to break. To participate in HSA, students need to register by the deadline and complete written tasks that often help them find the password to the class notebook, a password-protected message forum. Since HSA discourages students from interacting or socializing, the message forum is the place where students leave the answers to their “assignments.” Assignments range from replying to philosophical theories, making personal connections to philosophical ideas, responding to specific pieces of art, and even creating and sharing one’s own art work.

Students find the assignments posted on the website. Videos either reinforce a lesson’s focus, provide insight to an area of examination or offer clues to the participants to figure out the assignment’s password. At HSA, when students solve the password and are ready to post their answer in the notebook, they are said to “Bring It” to the notebook. Students who are interested are free to post their own in-character blogs that link off the HSA website.

The head of school is a woman known as Rose Marie Crandall Crowley Kelly, who is married to Phillip Crowley (no relation to [[Aleister]]). She is a very strict, yet supportive instructor who encourages her students to do their best. She expects students to follow her rules without question, and those who have questioned her have had their IP addresses banned from the site. Assignments receive responses from Ms. Kelly and student work is exhibited on the website.

Throughout each term, a back story emerges involving Ms. Kelly’s exploits and those who seem to trying to undo for reasons that remain unclear. The website offers clues, additional character blogs and links. At the end of the term, students are treated to a graduation ceremony video, an on-line yearbook and a certificate of completion. HSA has a small group of followers who seem to enjoy the intellectual stimulation of this game.

This is the first time that HSA’s creator has ever been involved in such a pursuit. Participants have been forgiving and patient as her stories unfold and her skills improve.

The Homeschoolers Aggregate appears to be a secular forum for gifted homeschoolers to receive informal assignments in and to discuss Literary Theory, Poetry, Art, and Moral and Ethical Philosophy. Whether the Aggregate is an accredited institution, and whether it supports other subjects outside the liberal arts, is unknown.

Internet fans of Bree stumbled across the HSAOnline introductory and training videos hosted on YouTube. The source of the lonelyfans' speculation that Bree is/was a student of the Homeschoolers Aggregate is unknown, but several participants of the Tribute to Lonelygirl15 Phorum flocked to register in a new session to be administered by HSAOnline's strict but supportive educator, Ms. Kelly, who continually exhorts the students to "Study up!"

Ms. Kelly and the HSAOnline administrators seem very solicitous regarding the online privacy of their student families. HSAOnline appears to be recovering from some sort of major recent hack, based on some oblique comments from Ms. Kelly.

The videos shared the strict rules that participants need to follow in order to remain in the program. Many viewers questioned the relationship of these videos and the [http://hsao.net/ HSA website] to the Lonelygirl15 production. Fans soon realized that the videos and site were an independent production that ran parallel to Bree’s story. Some viewers speculated that Bree was a former participant of the program due to HSA's strict policies. Others speculated that it was a cult, trying to lure students to enroll. As it turned out, HSA was a game that followed the idea of immersive fiction more that a traditional ARG. The HSA offered no dead-drops or computer codes to break. To participate in HSA, students need to register by the deadline and complete written tasks that often help them find the password to the class notebook, a password-protected message forum. Since HSA discourages students from interacting or socializing, the message forum is the place where students leave the answers to their “assignments.” Assignments range from replying to philosophical theories, making personal connections to philosophical ideas, responding to specific pieces of art, and even creating and sharing one’s own art work.

Students find the assignments posted on the website. Videos either reinforce a lesson’s focus, provide insight to an area of examination or offer clues to the participants to figure out the assignment’s password. At HSA, when students solve the password and are ready to post their answer in the notebook, they are said to “Bring It” to the notebook. Students who are interested are free to post their own in-character blogs that link off the HSA website.

The head of school is a woman known as Rose Marie Crandall Crowley Kelly, who is married to Phillip Crowley (no relation to [[Aleister]]). She is a very strict, yet supportive instructor who encourages her students to do their best. She expects students to follow her rules without question, and those who have questioned her have had their IP addresses banned from the site. Assignments receive responses from Ms. Kelly and student work is exhibited on the website.

Throughout each term, a back story emerges involving Ms. Kelly’s exploits and those who seem to trying to undo for reasons that remain unclear. The website offers clues, additional character blogs and links. At the end of the term, students are treated to a graduation ceremony video, an on-line yearbook and a certificate of completion. HSA has a small group of followers who seem to enjoy the intellectual stimulation of this game.

This is the first time that HSA’s creator has ever been involved in such a pursuit. Participants have been forgiving and patient as her stories unfold and her skills improve.

The Homeschoolers Aggregate appears to be a secular forum for gifted homeschoolers to receive informal assignments in and to discuss Literary Theory, Poetry, Art, and Moral and Ethical Philosophy. Whether the Aggregate is an accredited institution, and whether it supports other subjects outside the liberal arts, is unknown.

Internet fans of Bree stumbled across the HSAOnline introductory and training videos hosted on YouTube. The source of the lonelyfans' speculation that Bree is/was a student of the Homeschoolers Aggregate is unknown, but several participants of the Tribute to Lonelygirl15 Phorum flocked to register in a new session to be administered by HSAOnline's strict but supportive educator, Ms. Kelly, who continually exhorts the students to "Study up!"

Ms. Kelly and the HSAOnline administrators seem very solicitous regarding the online privacy of their student families. HSAOnline appears to be recovering from some sort of major recent hack, based on some oblique comments from Ms. Kelly.

The videos shared the strict rules that participants need to follow in order to remain in the program. Many viewers questioned the relationship of these videos and the [http://hsao.net/ HSA website] to the Lonelygirl15 production. Fans soon realized that the videos and site were an independent production that ran parallel to Bree’s story. Some viewers speculated that Bree was a former participant of the program due to HSA's strict policies. Others speculated that it was a cult, trying to lure students to enroll. As it turned out, HSA was a game that followed the idea of immersive fiction more that a traditional ARG. The HSA offered no dead-drops or computer codes to break. To participate in HSA, students need to register by the deadline and complete written tasks that often help them find the password to the class notebook, a password-protected message forum. Since HSA discourages students from interacting or socializing, the message forum is the place where students leave the answers to their “assignments.” Assignments range from replying to philosophical theories, making personal connections to philosophical ideas, responding to specific pieces of art, and even creating and sharing one’s own art work.

Students find the assignments posted on the website. Videos either reinforce a lesson’s focus, provide insight to an area of examination or offer clues to the participants to figure out the assignment’s password. At HSA, when students solve the password and are ready to post their answer in the notebook, they are said to “Bring It” to the notebook. Students who are interested are free to post their own in-character blogs that link off the HSA website.

The head of school is a woman known as Rose Marie Crandall Crowley Kelly, who is married to Phillip Crowley (no relation to [[Aleister]]). She is a very strict, yet supportive instructor who encourages her students to do their best. She expects students to follow her rules without question, and those who have questioned her have had their IP addresses banned from the site. Assignments receive responses from Ms. Kelly and student work is exhibited on the website.

Throughout each term, a back story emerges involving Ms. Kelly’s exploits and those who seem to trying to undo for reasons that remain unclear. The website offers clues, additional character blogs and links. At the end of the term, students are treated to a graduation ceremony video, an on-line yearbook and a certificate of completion. HSA has a small group of followers who seem to enjoy the intellectual stimulation of this game.

This is the first time that HSA’s creator has ever been involved in such a pursuit. Participants have been forgiving and patient as her stories unfold and her skills improve.

Internet fans of Bree stumbled across the HSAOnline introductory and training videos hosted on YouTube. The source of the lonelyfans' speculation that Bree is/was a student of the Homeschoolers Aggregate is unknown, but several participants of the Tribute to Lonelygirl15 Phorum flocked to register in a new session to be administered by HSAOnline's strict but supportive educator, Ms. Kelly, who continually exhorts the students to "Study up!"

Ms. Kelly and the HSAOnline administrators seem very solicitous regarding the online privacy of their student families. HSAOnline appears to be recovering from some sort of major recent hack, based on some oblique comments from Ms. Kelly.

Although the lounge, library and drawing room art offered much to occupy the travelers, there was little else to do but watch as guests became frustrated with the host and left one by one. Ms. Kelly jumped off of the train part way through the trip to get back to her family, her school and the consequences she faced for some fraudulent behavior.

During this period, students were invited along on a train trip by a mysterious host/architect. This train ride turned into a surrealistic and confusing journey that led guests nowhere. Although the lounge, library and drawing room art offered much to occupy the travelers, there was little else to do but watch as guests became frustrated with the host and left one by one. Ms. Kelly jumped off of the train part way through the trip to get back to her family, her school and the consequences she faced for some fraudulent behavior.

The videos shared the strict rules that participants need to follow in order to remain in the program. Many viewers questioned the relationship of these videos and the [http://hsao.net/ HSA website] to the Lonelygirl15 production. Fans soon realized that the videos and site were an independent production that ran parallel to Bree’s story. Some viewers speculated that Bree was a former participant of the program due to HSA's strict policies. Others speculated that it was a cult, trying to lure students to enroll. As it turned out, HSA was a game that followed the idea of immersive fiction more that a traditional ARG. The HSA offered no dead-drops or computer codes to break. To participate in HSA, students need to register by the deadline and complete written tasks that often help them find the password to the class notebook, a password-protected message forum. Since HSA discourages students from interacting or socializing, the message forum is the place where students leave the answers to their “assignments.” Assignments range from replying to philosophical theories, making personal connections to philosophical ideas, responding to specific pieces of art, and even creating and sharing one’s own art work.

Students find the assignments posted on the website. Videos either reinforce a lesson’s focus, provide insight to an area of examination or offer clues to the participants to figure out the assignment’s password. At HSA, when students solve the password and are ready to post their answer in the notebook, they are said to “Bring It” to the notebook. Students who are interested are free to post their own in-character blogs that link off the HSA website.

The head of school is a woman known as Rose Marie Crandall Crowley Kelly, who is married to Phillip Crowley (no relation to [[Aleister]]). She is a very strict, yet supportive instructor who encourages her students to do their best. She expects students to follow her rules without question, and those who have questioned her have had their IP addresses banned from the site. Assignments receive responses from Ms. Kelly and student work is exhibited on the website.

Throughout each term, a back story emerges involving Ms. Kelly’s exploits and those who seem to trying to undo for reasons that remain unclear. The website offers clues, additional character blogs and links. At the end of the term, students are treated to a graduation ceremony video, an on-line yearbook and a certificate of completion. HSA has a small group of followers who seem to enjoy the intellectual stimulation of this game.

This is the first time that HSA’s creator has ever been involved in such a pursuit. Participants have been forgiving and patient as her stories unfold and her skills improve.

This 18 minute and 48 second video ended the term with a presentation that they were not expecting. "It has been suggested that this was the longest graduation speech in history. Though long it is actually exceeded by others such as a noted 24 minute graduation speech once given by Warren Beatty, it is definitely the longest in HSAO history and may be one of the only Graduation speeches involving the removal of clothing." <ref>[[LordGreystoke422]]</ref>

For a short period, HSAO's director, Ms. Kelly, was institutionalized for reasons that are unclear but vaguely addressed in a video entitled [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0ItOftFyMw Rose Kelly.] There was some speculation as to whether Ms. Kelly suffered from spontaneous combustions. During this period, students were invited along on a train trip by a mysterious host/architect. This train ride turned into a surrealistic and confusing journey that led guests nowhere. Although the lounge, library and drawing room art offered much to occupy the travelers, there was little else to do but watch as guests became frustrated with the host and left one by one. Ms. Kelly jumped off of the train part way through the trip to get back to her family, her school and the consequences she faced for some fraudulent behavior. 
She vowed to turn things around and applied for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status for her school. Back at the helm, she began planning a new term for her students focused on [http://hsao.net/school.html/ technology and art].

Students spent the term focused on examining technology and art, as well as learning from the examples set by lonelygirl15 in a series of lessons entitled [http://hsao.net/lessonsbree.html Lesson from Bree.] HSA became sponsored by a charitable foundation called [http://continue.to/tiko TiKO.] This foundation is rather mysterious as its sponsors choose to remain anonymous and work under the TiKO name. TiKO demanded that HSA hold a very [http://continue.to/openhouse/ public] Open House so the sponsors could see the work of the school. Some paperwork in Ms. Kelly’s [http://hsao.net/hsaoffice.html office] alluded to some conflict between TiKO’s intentions and Ms. Kelly’s curriculum. Professor Boone also seemed to doing some secretive work for TiKO as stated in some [http://hsao.net/email.jpg emails]found on [http://technologicalaspectsofart.blogspot.com/ his site.] Ms. Kelly explained to her current class that she was concerned about continued funding for her non-profit school. The videos shared the strict rules that participants need to follow in order to remain in the program. Many viewers questioned the relationship of these videos and the [http://hsao.net/ HSA website] to the Lonelygirl15 production. Fans soon realized that the videos and site were an independent production that ran parallel to Bree’s story. Some viewers speculated that Bree was a former participant of the program due to HSA's strict policies. Others speculated that it was a cult, trying to lure students to enroll. As it turned out, HSA was a game that followed the idea of immersive fiction more that a traditional ARG. The HSA offered no dead-drops or computer codes to break. To participate in HSA, students need to register by the deadline and complete written tasks that often help them find the password to the class notebook, a password-protected message forum. Since HSA discourages students from interacting or socializing, the message forum is the place where students leave the answers to their “assignments.” Assignments range from replying to philosophical theories, making personal connections to philosophical ideas, responding to specific pieces of art, and even creating and sharing one’s own art work.

Students find the assignments posted on the website. Videos either reinforce a lesson’s focus, provide insight to an area of examination or offer clues to the participants to figure out the assignment’s password. At HSA, when students solve the password and are ready to post their answer in the notebook, they are said to “Bring It” to the notebook. Students who are interested are free to post their own in-character blogs that link off the HSA website.

The head of school is a woman known as Rose Marie Crandall Crowley Kelly, who is married to Phillip Crowley (no relation to [[Aleister]]). She is a very strict, yet supportive instructor who encourages her students to do their best. She expects students to follow her rules without question, and those who have questioned her have had their IP addresses banned from the site. Assignments receive responses from Ms. Kelly and student work is exhibited on the website.

Throughout each term, a back story emerges involving Ms. Kelly’s exploits and those who seem to trying to undo for reasons that remain unclear. The website offers clues, additional character blogs and links. At the end of the term, students are treated to a graduation ceremony video, an on-line yearbook and a certificate of completion. HSA has a small group of followers who seem to enjoy the intellectual stimulation of this game.

This is the first time that HSA’s creator has ever been involved in such a pursuit. Participants have been forgiving and patient as her stories unfold and her skills improve.

The Homeschoolers Aggregate appears to be a secular forum for gifted homeschoolers to receive informal assignments in and to discuss Literary Theory, Poetry, Art, and Moral and Ethical Philosophy. Whether the Aggregate is an accredited institution, and whether it supports other subjects outside the liberal arts, is unknown.

Internet fans of Bree stumbled across the HSAOnline introductory and training videos hosted on YouTube. The source of the lonelyfans' speculation that Bree is/was a student of the Homeschoolers Aggregate is unknown, but several participants of the Tribute to Lonelygirl15 Phorum flocked to register in a new session to be administered by HSAOnline's strict but supportive educator, Ms. Kelly, who continually exhorts the students to "Study up!"

Ms. Kelly and the HSAOnline administrators seem very solicitous regarding the online privacy of their student families. HSAOnline appears to be recovering from some sort of major recent hack, based on some oblique comments from Ms. Kelly. 

Many of the new HSAOnline students, like many of the fans of the ''lonelygirl15''-inspired internet game ''cassieiswatching'', use [http://lonelygirl15.com/forum Bukanator's forum] as a secondary clubhouse to discuss the mysterious Aggregate.

This 18 minute and 48 second video ended the term with a presentation that they were not expecting. "It has been suggested that this was the longest graduation speech in history. For a short period, HSAO's director, Ms. Kelly, was institutionalized for reasons that are unclear but vaguely addressed in a video entitled [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0ItOftFyMw Rose Kelly.] There was some speculation as to whether Ms. Kelly suffered from spontaneous combustions. During this period, students were invited along on a train trip by a mysterious host/architect. This train ride turned into a surrealistic and confusing journey that led guests nowhere. Although the lounge, library and drawing room art offered much to occupy the travelers, there was little else to do but watch as guests became frustrated with the host and left one by one. Ms. Kelly jumped off of the train part way through the trip to get back to her family, her school and the consequences she faced for some fraudulent behavior. 
She vowed to turn things around and applied for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status for her school. Back at the helm, she began planning a new term for her students focused on [http://hsao.net/school.html/ technology and art].

Students spent the term focused on examining technology and art, as well as learning from the examples set by lonelygirl15 in a series of lessons entitled [http://hsao.net/lessonsbree.html Lesson from Bree.] HSA became sponsored by a charitable foundation called [http://continue.to/tiko TiKO.] This foundation is rather mysterious as its sponsors choose to remain anonymous and work under the TiKO name. TiKO demanded that HSA hold a very [http://continue.to/openhouse/ public] Open House so the sponsors could see the work of the school. Some paperwork in Ms. Kelly’s [http://hsao.net/hsaoffice.html office] alluded to some conflict between TiKO’s intentions and Ms. Kelly’s curriculum. Professor Boone also seemed to doing some secretive work for TiKO as stated in some [http://hsao.net/email.jpg emails]found on [http://technologicalaspectsofart.blogspot.com/ his site.] Ms. Kelly explained to her current class that she was concerned about continued funding for her non-profit school. ==Who is lonelygirl15?==
On May 24, 2006 the world was touched by a sweet young girl experiencing the troubles of everyday life, but it turned out to be something more than that. The truth about lonelygirl15's life was told, and the world was captivated . . .

[[Bree|Lonelygirl15]], a.k.a. Bree, is an intelligent, yet awkward and geeky teenager. Raised in a strict, isolated household, she lacks many of the social skills possessed by her peers. She does not go out with friends much, and spends much of her time reading or playing juvenile games, such as interacting with her three stuffed animals, [[Thor]] the bear, [[Owen]] the Turtle, and [[Purple Monkey|P. Monkey]]. Bree is home schooled, and she and her parents have moved around a lot, which has limited her social experiences and has left her without any true friends. For a short while she attended high school, but the social pressures, teasing and her lack of experience proved too overwhelming for her to bear. However, she did leave her short stint in public high school with one friend, [[Daniel]].

==Her Beginning==
In June of 2006, Bree bought a webcam and began posting on [[YouTube]]. At first, she posted simple, silly clips of her and her stuffed animals, which she explains were edited by a friend. Later on, however, she opened up to the audience and began sharing more and more about herself, her life, religion and troubles. [[My Parents Suck...|Bree explains]] that her religion often prevents her from doing normal, teenage activities. Along the way, [[The Danielbeast|she introduces Daniel (as DanielBeast)]], her best and only ''real'' friend. Although he just sits on the bed and reads magazines most of the time, he occasionally participates in her clips, such as their spoof of each other, "[[Proving Science Wrong... with Lonelybeast and Danielgirl15]]".

Daniel and Bree spend more and more time together, [[My Parents... Let Us Go Hiking!!!|going on hikes]], [[Swimming!|swimming]] or just sitting in her bedroom. Bree's father asks Daniel to film Bree's play for her annual religious summer camp. Daniel refuses, and [[What Bree's Dad Said...|Bree's father reacts negatively]], straining her friendship with Daniel. Afterwards, tears are shed and angry words are exchanged between the friends. Daniel [[To Hell With Bree's Dad (yeah!)|posts a video]] explaining how he intends to attend her play, though not to film it, much to the surprise and happiness of Bree. Having gotten over the first hurdle in their public relationship, Bree excitedly shares that she has been chosen to participate in a sacred ceremony for her religion. Bree does not share many details about this religion except to say that she is truly committed to her faith.

Her parents forbid her to go, but Bree [[I'm Going to the Party!|decides to sneak out anyway]]. Much to her dismay, her father is waiting for her when she gets home. She is promptly placed under "[[House Arrest|house arrest]]," and her father forbids her to see Daniel anymore. After this first rebellious act against her parents, it seems as if Bree has become addicted to sneaking out, or perhaps she just relishes her newfound freedom. Daniel invites her on various "dates" and Bree is confused about teen love. She's never had a boyfriend before, and obviously never experienced a kiss, so Daniel's desire to be something more than friends befuddles her, especially when [[My First Kiss|he kisses her]] at another party.

==Her Religion==
In the video [[A Change In My Life]], Bree sheds some light on the ceremony for which she has been chosen to participate. For the [[Bree's ritual|ceremony]], she has to learn [[Enochian|a new language]], go on a special diet, learn special steps, take [[iron pills|iron supplements]] and receive weekly [[Bree's injections|injections]].

Although Bree promises to have a dinner with Daniel, she realizes that she has to attend an annual [[Fall Equinox]] ceremony for [[Bree's religion|her religion]]. Again, her mysterious religion tears Daniel and Bree apart. She decides that her religion is more important to her than her only friend. She gains a "[[My Helper|helper]]" whose role is to assist her in preparing for the upcoming ceremony. She is already studying hard, dieting, taking pills and receiving mysterious shots. Nevertheless, she enjoys this new female friend. Daniel, still angry, [[Where Are They Going?|follows Bree and her helper]], [[Lucy]], in order to figure out the woman's purpose and motives. Bree sees the videoblog of Daniel following her and is upset. She tells Daniel via [[Daniel Crossed The Line|videoblog]] to leave her alone and stop following her. She also warns him about the power of those in her religious order. Daniel ignores her and begins to become alarmed by the extent to which her religion affects events in Bree's life.

==Her Ceremony==
Daniel finds inconclusive, yet disturbing stories about a man associated with Bree's religion, [[Aleister Crowley]]. He follows Bree and her helper yet again and in a secluded, wooded area stumbles upon the ceremony. As Daniel [[The Ceremony|films part of the secret ritual]], he notices that he is being watched. Fleeing through the darkness, he escapes into his car before being caught. After that, he follows Bree's helper Lucy to her apartment and waits until she leaves, [[Following The Helper|breaking in]] and finding pictures on Lucy's computer of himself videotaping the ceremony, along with maps of locations in Texas, Arizona, California, Alaska and Alberta, Canada. Shaken and paranoid, Daniel is convinced that Bree's "cult," as he calls it, is following him as he followed them. Bree hears of this and becomes extremely worried about Daniel's safety. So he goes "underground," staying at a friend's home to hide from the cult. Daniel calls Bree, finding out that under the instruction of Lucy and other cult members [[I Lied To Daniel|Bree has lied]] to him about the ceremony, which was faked. As it turns out, Bree knows very little about purpose and date of the ''actual'' ceremony. Furthermore, Bree's father seems to have little information about the injections he was giving to her. Bree realizes that Lucy will not answer any of Bree's questions. With Daniel's encouragement, Bree decides not to participate in the ceremony, and her parents surprisingly support her decision. Meanwhile, Bree is contacted by [[Gemma]], an old friend, who warns her of the power and influence of [[The Order|the "Order"]]. This prompts Bree to reunite with Daniel at his house.

==Her Getaway==
While at Daniel's house, [[Still At Daniel's|Bree's parents contact her ]] to tell her that she should sleep at Daniel's for the night, an extreme contrast to the conservative parents Bree has known. A few days later, Bree and Daniel, both worried, decide to return to her home after receiving no responses to their numerous phone calls. Upon arriving at the house, and from within the safety of Daniel's car [[On The Run|they witness her parents leaving]] with Lucy and a man from the ceremony. Once the car drives off, the two enter Bree's house to examine the scene. Hidden inside the P. Monkey puppet, Bree finds a note and some money left by her parents. The note advises her to stay with Daniel. Daniel and Bree worry about whether or not Daniel's house is a safe location. They make the decision to run away. They sleep in the car for a few days before settling in to a [[The motel|motel]]. Bree seems to be her usual silly self, but [[Someone's Following You|Gemma warns her]] that she is being followed by a "[[Watcher]]", a member of the Order who is stalking them. They both flee again, finding [[The second motel|another motel]]. [[Silent Treatment|Daniel is upset with Bree]] for not taking the situation seriously.

==Her New Friend==
Bree is left a video comment by [[Jonas]], who wishes Lonelygirl and Danielbeast a [[Happy Thanksgiving]]. He does not give out much background information about himself, and says only that his parents mysteriously disappeared while sailing six years ago, and expresses his sympathy for Bree, a fellow "orphan". Meanwhile, Daniel and Bree return to their motel room to find it [[Ransacked!|ransacked]]. With all of their money stolen, and now having only the small amount left that Daniel is carrying, and they flee once again. Daniel becomes increasingly aggravated and wants to go back home, but Bree is not convinced that they are safe. Bree receives a vblog from Gemma who fears she too is being followed by a Watcher. [[Scared To Go Home|Scared to go home]], Gemma hides out at a friend's home, noticeably distressed, much like Daniel when he realized he was being followed. The situation for Bree and Daniel grows increasingly worse when Daniel is informed by someone named Tachyon that his car is bugged with a tracking device. Deciding that the safest choice is to [[Homeless|abandon the car]], the now-homeless couple has to resort to dumpster diving for food and a dirty abandoned warehouse for shelter. In November 28th online chat session, it is suggested that Bree and Daniel accept the help of Jonas, who is apparently rich, unemployed and lives alone in a large house. However, Daniel and Gemma are not convinced. Bree [[Your Decision|chooses to stay with Jonas]], but Daniel decides to [[Back Home|return home]].

==Her Betrayal==
Jonas posts [[Tough Cookie|a video claiming that Gemma was lying]] about being in London; apparently she is in California and still active in the Order. This, along with Daniel's abandonment of her, drives Bree to sulk for several days. Meanwhile, Daniel decides to go [[Back At Bree's|back to Bree's house]] and investigate, finding evidence that leads him to [[Breaking And Entering|break into a pharmaceutical warehouse]]. Bree decides to take action herself and begins by [[Bree Phone Home|calling her friends and family]] to see if anyone has had contact with her parents. She initially seems to find no helpful information, but in a call to an uncle, receives a coded message from her father, indicating that they are OK and requesting that she meet them. She reminisces about her old friend [[Cassie]] with whom Bree made some prank phone calls during their brief friendship. By the time she finishes making her calls; Bree concludes that the "Gemma Incident" is good reason to avoid contact with those in "The Community."

==Her Reunion==
On Christmas Day, much to Bree's [[Christmas Surprise|surprise]] and elation, Daniel arrives at Jonas's house. However, on the following day, Jonas and Daniel wake to find that [[Bree's Gone|Bree is gone]] without a note or obvious explanation. According to Jonas, Bree has taken his car, one of his credit cards, and some of his cash. Daniel decides to examine Bree's recent videos more closely to find an explanation of her disappearance. Jonas and Daniel [[Roadtrip|try to track down Bree]]. Eventually, they find her meeting with her father shortly before a run-in with the Order resulting in the [[The Unthinkable Happened|shooting of Bree's dad]]. After Bree spends several days depressed, Daniel posts a video annoucing that he "[[Bree And I Hooked Up|hooked up]]" with Bree. Jonas is [[Kicked Out|kicked out]] of his own house when Daniel makes a special candle light dinner for Bree, but it apparently doesn't go well. Then Bree posts a video saying [[Daniel’s A Liar|Daniel has lied]], and she just kissed him in a act of impulse and there is nothing more to it. Daniel goes out of the house the next day and [[Truth Or Dare|gets drunk]].

==Her Privacy==
Jonas picks up Daniel, who is too drunk to drive himself home. Daniel is accompanied by a nameless young woman, who hangs out with Bree and Jonas while Daniel sleeps off the liquor. The young woman tells Jonas and Bree about Daniel’s drunken ramblings, including his talk of a girl who broke his heart and some mysterious watchers. Daniel wakes up the next morning with a terrible [[hungover|hangover]], wondering where the pretty girl might be. Since Bree is frustrated by the antics of Jonas and Daniel, she decides to think about [[Time To Grow Up|career plans]] and her need for privacy. Meanwhile, Daniel states that he will no longer pursue Bree, choosing to spend his time [[Foosball Battle|playing foosball with Jonas]] and giving Bree space. Daniel decides that he wants to go [[For The Ladies|back to the bowling alley]] to look for the unnamed young woman. Daniel leaves for the night but never returns.

==Her Hunt for Daniel==
Bree posts a video sharing [[Daniel's Missing!|her concern for Daniel]] because no one has heard from him. Bree confesses that she still wants him in her life, but she does not want a romantic relationship. Jonas and Bree [[Looking For Daniel|go to the bowling alley]] to look for him. Bree receives a cryptic text message from Daniel, but it does not state his location. Jonas tells her that a bartender saw Daniel leave with a local man. Bree and Jonas hit the freeway and head for the man's house in the mountains to find Daniel. It gets late and they still haven't found the "local" man's house, so they [[Sleepover|stop at a motel]], where they are forced to share a bed. Jonas has trouble sleeping and makes plans to resume looking for Daniel in the morning, and possibly file a Missing Persons Report.
