She was about my age, and she was sitting on the beach with her friends, and I dunno, I guess it's Spring Break or something? It's not that... I want to be like them, it's just that... they seem like they don't have a care in the world, and all the things that people do that are my age, I usually think are really stupid. I felt really overwhelmed, and just literally got up and ran away.

(''normally'') Until recently, the standard mechanism for with stress was very simple: you either choose to face something or you run from it. This is called "fight or flight". Basically, I've been staying here for a few days and she's teaching me "how to be a badass." She started running me through some general conditioning. I don't know, Tachyon's been making me do hand stands and attempt scissor splits all morning, so I think I'm a little punchy. I guess a few years back, there was an uprising against the Order, and a lot of people that were on the inside and some from the outside rebelled against it. The Order fought back and eventually crushed it. That's what all those mysterious deaths were about. I don't know if you find that useful, but I found it interesting. Though American, she grew up in Spain, Uruguay, and Argentina. She graduated from Harvard University.
She was "discovered" by producer/write/actor Marshall Herskovitz, who went to see her in a play, Quarterlife, that coincidentally had the same title as a pilot he had recently filmed.
