Hearing the truth about my dad... well, about myself too. There's even a passage in here about La Crete, about how it was some- some place that was like a de facto headquarters for all The Order's experiments. Oh, it was- what did he say? Carruthers was in the Resistance, but he was a mole planted by The Order to corrupt and destroy the Resistance. While my dad was fighting The Order, Carruthers was poisoning the Resistance from the inside trying to convince everyone that the battle was futile, useless... and then he promised him something extraordinary. Something better than money, even better than power: life. Not just life, eternal life. He offered them the ability to conquer the unconquerable.

* Some have speculated that now that the Order has a new girl and Bree is not "needed" that Bree's life is now in danger. Prior to this point, she has been protected by the Watchers so that she could go through the [[Ceremony]] as mentioned in [[Communication Terminated]]. Now that she is no longer needed for the Ceremony, she is now viewed merely as a member of the Resistance by the Order and possibly faces the same fate as Jonas's parents.

'''Bree:''' So... the [[The Ceremony (ritual)|Ceremony]] is tomorrow and I feel ready. This last month has been very difficult. Once a week I've been [[Bree's injections|receiving shots]]. They don't always leave me feeling the best. The diet has been near impossible. I don't know how I did that. Luckily, today they let me have milk and cookies. (''Looks at milk and cookies on bed and shakes head with enthusiasm.'') I haven't really noticed the pills I've been taking. I mean, it was hard at first just because I would always forget them when I left the house. [[Enochian]]... (''shakes head'')... wow...it's such a beautiful language. It's so sad that no one ever hears it except for at these ceremonies. It's been a long haul. This past week... I felt like I've kind of crossed over. Things that were really difficult before just came a whole bunch easier and it's like I was holding on to a lot of things that I really didn't need to. It was hard to accept that Daniel's friendship had been a lie all along, but... he didn't have my best interest at heart, so... kinda. The first time I met [[Lucy]], she told me something I will never forget. She said that "life can be amazing if you're willing to make sacrifices." Now I understand what she meant. There was something else that I asked Lucy this week. As most of you know, I have a borderline socially acceptable relationship with my [[:Category:Stuffed characters|stuffed animals]]. (''Whispering to camera'') They're kind of real to me. Anyway, so, I asked Lucy how this habit sort of "gelled" with our beliefs. She said it was important for everyone to have imaginary friends. They’re someone you can talk to when the real world lets you down. This made me very happy. (''Holding [[Purple Monkey|P. Monkey]]'') It turns out our little purple friend has been feeling a little overshadowed lately. (''Covers P. Monkey’s ears and whispers'') Hitching him to [[Thor]] and letting him get dragged around in circles probably didn't help.

I've been doing some research on the internet about the Hymn of One and the Order. Here's what I've come up with. At the top is the [[The Order | Order of Denderah]]. That's the [[The Deacons#Relation to Elders | Elders]] I've talked about before. Unfortunately, I don't really know a lot about these people... I've only heard them mentioned in passings. Some families lived in controlled communities, like [[commune]]s, but most just live in normal neighborhoods like I did. At the local level are [[the Deacons]]. They're sort of like a bishop at a Catholic church. They organize members in a small geographic region. When a girl is chosen for [[The Ceremony (ritual) | the Ceremony]], the Deacons appoint her a Helper. [[Lucy]] was my Helper. The Helper is then in charge of preparing the girl for the Ceremony. Although she keeps almost every important detail a secret. I knew nothing. I mean, I know you guys find that really hard to believe, but besides when to turn and bow and what foods I could and couldn't eat... Lucy kept me in the dark. To be honest, I don't know how much she knew.

The only other members I've encountered besides Deacons and Helpers are these people some refer to as [[Watcher]]s. Because they watch. It was a Watcher that was outside our motel room when we first left home, and it was a Watcher that [[Jonas]] punched. The thing is, is that... they don't seem interested in harming me at all. In fact, it's like the complete opposite. It's like they're trying to protect me. Good body guard. Whenever I've been close to one, they just... stand there. And in Vegas, it was a Watcher who [[Communication Terminated | shot that guy who kidnapped us]]. I don't know, it's so confusing. It seems like there's a conflict within the Order. They all want me to do the Ceremony, but they also need me to do it voluntarily. Although, I don't feel like everybody agrees on the last part. Anyway, I'm going to keep an eye on Julie, so, as always, let me know if you find anything. (''Waves'')

I really think that there is...a bit of confusion around it. First of all, read my lips: it is not a legitimate religion. A legitimate religion, in my mind, is beliefs that center around a higher purpose, or, or meaning, and the dangerous thing about the Hymn of One is that it masquerades as a real religion, but its true purpose is the exact opposite. For example, they talk about free will a lot. Truthfully, it's just another way to make you feel empowered, when in fact they're getting you to do exactly what they want you to do: The Ceremony. Now, the Ceremony is the key. I wish that I knew more about it, but clearly it's very important to the Order.
