'''Steve''' is a mysterious friend of [[Kate]]'s who she met at the library while searching for information on memory loss. Steve claims to suffer from a similar ailment, and offers to help Kate get her memory back. However, both [[Charlie]] and [[Tariq]] think that Steve is a creep and try to keep Kate away from him.

At [[Charlie's party]], Tariq goes through Steve's bag and finds a [[Hymn of One]] pamphlet. Later, under interrogation, Steve admits to being a member of the Hymn of One and having lied about having amnesia, though he claims to only want to help protect Kate.

In early October 2007, Charlie caught up with Steve to [[Hymn of One (video)|ask him for help]] in finding Kate. He said that he couldn't help because he was being promoted to a higher level in the Hymn of One. However, he [[Bless You|showed up at Charlie's flat]] a few days later to tell her he couldn't get Kate off his mind and that he wanted to help find her. Steve was subsequently shocked to find [[Hear My Song|Michelle Clore's name in the Hymn of One register]] and decided the only way to clear the Hymn of One's name was to expose her and have her expelled. Steve decided to help Charlie and Tariq by [[No Turning Back|leading them to the Watcher's van]]. He was again shocked by finding the [[Sabotage|Watcher's picture linked to a Hymn of One symbol]] in the van.

'''Kate''' (real name '''Genevieve''') is the main character of the [[KateModern]] series. She is a 19-year-old university student who is studying art. She wants to fit in with her friends and has problems with her parents. She lives in an East London flat with her friend [[Charlie]]. She likes making art videos and says that she's signed up for Bebo to showcase her art.

"Kate" is actually an alias that she made up when she met Charlie. When Kate was a child she had awful night terrors. Eventually they went away, but recently, they started [[Awful Dream|coming back]]. She went to see her doctor, who did a blood test, which revealed that [[Kate's blood]] was "abnormal." She went to see a specialist, but ended up [[I Can't Remember Anything!|losing her memory]] of the entire event. She tried to seek help, and found [[Steve]].

Steve took Kate back to the office where she had been treated by the specialist, only for Kate to find that the specialist [[Carnaby Street, Saturday 18th August, 10AM|was murdered]]. It was widely assumed that Steve had something to do with this. Eventually, it came to light that he was actually [[The Prisoner|trying to help Kate]] and things started to look up.

Soon though, Kate realized that the specialist was not, in fact, dead, and that the "police officer" who had told her so was the specialist's son, [[Dudley]]. Dudley [[Who Watches The Watcher?|sent Kate a message]] saying that he and his father would like a chance to explain what happened. Kate and Charlie went with Dudley, to a location in the middle of nowhere to [[Girl Power|hear what he had to say]]. [[Tariq]], Kate's boyfriend, tried to join them, but Kate refused to let him come. Because of this, Tariq [[The End|ended their relationship]]. Meanwhile, Kate [[Dr. Weirdo|met up with]] [[Dr. William Griffin]], who told her that his "''experiments with the trait positive girls showed that they had something more than the longevity that we believe provides the power for the Order.''" This freaked Kate out a great deal and made her [[Pest Control|very angry]] at Dudley and Dr. Griffin.

In spite of all of this negativity, Kate received some [[Dream Lover|great news]] -- her art was going to be featured in the gallery of one of Kate's favorite artists, [[Michelle Clore]]. Kate [[Dudley did it!|was very excited to attend]], but things turned sour when [[The Gallery - 6pm 22nd September 2007|a man fired a shot]] and exclaimed, "''We will bring down the Order!!''" Michelle tried to thank Kate for saving her life, and took a hold of her hands. Kate jerked her hands back quickly, as though she was burned, and ran from the art gallery in terror.

After a short vacation in [[Devon]] with Charlie, Kate [[Why?|met with Michelle Clore]] on October 1st. It is unknown what Michelle Clore told her, but Kate was visibly upset during their meeting and Kate's behavior changed dramatically afterwards. Kate assaulted Charlie and willingly got into a van with a man in a dark suit and sunglasses.

After a three week absence, [[Kate Returns|Kate returned]] dressed in black clothes and sunglasses, similar to other members of the Order. She explained that she was studying art with Michelle Clore although this is most likely not the truth. The next day, she [[Birthday Surprise|visited Tariq]] and revealed that her real name is Genevieve.

Kate came home one day to find [[Creepy|Dudley beating]] Charlie when she wouldn't give him the [[Trait Negative]] serum he was after. Kate became furious at seeing her friend abused and proceeded to shove Dudley off of Charlie. However, she pushed him a bit too hard, and he ended up falling out of the window to his death. An upset [[Dr. William Griffin]] fled from the scene, only to be chased by Kate, who demanded to know why he and his son wouldn't just leave her (and Charlie) alone. Dr. Griffin replied that the Order is evil and must be destroyed.

Realizing that these people would never leave her friend alone if she remained [[trait positive]], Charlie injected Kate with the serum. Doing so, made her trait negative, thereby negating her desirability to [[the Order]], [[Dudley|the]] [[Dr. William Griffin|Griffins]], and the [[Hymn of One]]. However, it does not appear that this was what Kate wanted, as she started to cry, offered a cryptic apology, and ran off.

Since Kate is the same "trait-positive" as the girls in the [[Lonelygirl15]] series, it is unlikely that she is "trait-negative" after just one [[Creepy|injection]]. She is currently with [[Michelle Clore]] and [[The Order]].

'''Charlie''' is [[Kate]]'s best friend and roommate in the [[KateModern]] series. She lives in East London, where Charlie works for a P.R. Company. Kate believes she is a bit mad, but she excuses this because Charlie introduced her to Vegemite.

Charlie grew up in the suburbs in Melbourne, Australia. While she was there, she dated a few guys whom she called "boring mincers." Since moving to London, she has let her hair down a bit, and enjoys partying and dancing. Her favorite foods are tomato sauce and [[sangas]]. She has a sister named [[Rose (character)|Rose]] and a niece named [[Kim]]. Charlie wants to have a daughter someday.

From the beginning, Charlie has [[Charlie's Workout|looked out]] for Kate, trying to keep her away from guys like "Creepy [[Steve]]." When Gavin [[Trait Positive|contacted her]] with information regarding Kate's safety, she rushed down to his office. However, the two ended up locked in the building, and had to rely on fans to [[Carnaby Street, Saturday 18th August, 10AM|help save Kate]].

While trapped in the office, Charlie slept with [[Gavin]]. Later, she believed this encounter may have caused her to become pregnant. Luckily, though, she discovered that it was- as the video was titled- a '[[False Alarm|false alarm]]'.

Charlie and her friends then went to see the movie "[[Disturbia]]," and she quickly became obsessed with the starring actor, Shia LaBeouf. She [[Saved By LaBeouf|went to the Regency Grand Hotel]], in an attempt to meet up with him, but was stopped by [[Gavin]], who instead asked her to be his girlfriend. She accepted, and the two began a close [[KM Relationships#Charlie and Gavin|relationship]].

Later, Kate was [[Who Watches The Watcher?|contacted]] by her [[Dr. William Griffin|blood specialist]], who had faked his death. He asked Kate to meet him in the woods, and Charlie [[Girl Power|came along]] to help protect her friend. She quickly became scared for her life and asked that if she didn't return, her niece Kim would be told [[Tell Kim I Love Her|how much]] she was loved. Luckily, both girls got home [[Super Kate|safely]].

Kate was soon invited to feature her art at a prestigious gallery, where she and Charlie witnessed a [[Dudley did it!|shooting]]. Afterwards, Charlie convinced Kate to take a short vacation to [[Devon]]. On returning to London, [[Why?|Kate assaulted Charlie and disappeared]] after a meeting with [[Michelle Clore]].

Despite this inexplicable behavior, Charlie attempted to [[A Quiet Night Out|get]] [[Hymn of One (video)|help]] from Kate's friends to find her, but was met with much resistance. Along the way, [[Enter The Order|she learned]] that Michelle Clore was an [[Elder]] in the [[Hymn of One]], but was reassured when [[Dr. William Griffin]] told her that there was still time to save Kate before she could be "Ceremonied." This fact was later [[Hear My Song|verified]] by Steve.

Shortly after Steve realized this connection, the same van that Kate got into with Michelle Clore began following him. He [[No Turning Back|called Charlie and Tariq]] and asked them to come see, but things quickly got violent with the [[Watcher]] who had been driving the van. In order to save his friends, [[Tariq]] hopped in the newly-vacated van and ran over the Watcher. He, Charlie, and Steve then took off in the van, in which they ended up [[Van Sandwich|finding a laptop]] that potentially contained information about Kate's whereabouts.

The trio camped out in the woods, examining the materials left in the van, hoping to find any information about Kate. After days of no success, Charlie called [[My Last Resort|Dudley]] to ask him for his help. However, that ended badly after Dudley pulled a gun, which resulted in the group [[The Message|fleeing]] from the van. However, one good thing came of it; Charlie received a text message from Kate.

Charlie went home, and along with Gavin, [[Kate Returns|met up with Kate]], who informed Charlie that she did not want to be found. This angered Charlie, who had just spent a week living in a van searching for her friend. She stormed off, but later realized that Kate was still brainwashed by Michelle Clore and vowed to continue trying to help her friend.

Charlie's spirits were lifted when she received a [[Trait Negative|message]] from [[Spencer|Spencer Gilman]] in Los Angeles about a serum she could use to make Kate trait negative. Charlie received the serum, but was [[Creepy|attacked by Dudley]], who wanted it for his own purposes. Kate mysteriously reappeared in time to save Charlie from Dudley, but ended up pushing him out the window in the process. Kate became distraught and begged Dr. William Griffin to leave the two of them alone.

Thinking she was putting an end to the craziness in her friend's life, Charlie [[Genevieve (video)|injected Kate]] with the trait negative serum. However, Kate began to cry, apologized, and ran off, leaving Charlie bewildered.

When Charlie tried to look for Dudley, he has been taken away mysteriously by a black van; she has reported on the same video that Kate has killed Dudley because he tried to attack her.

Since then, Charlie stopped looking for Kate. This is most likely due to growing problems at her job because her colleagues started with mocking her vlogging. Her boss nearly fired her for vlogging on the job. Furthermore, Kate left without having paid the rent for the month, which caused Charlie to get evicted. Seeing Charlie in need, Gavin quickly re-let the flat and offered to share it with Charlie. Meanwhile, Charlie managed to redeem herself at work by putting together a campaign for [[KM_Product_placement#Pantene|Pantene]].

Unfortunately, Gavin's mistreatment of his employee, [[Lee]], caused Lee to steal the [[Project Orwell|software]] Gavin and Tariq had created. This culminated in a massive London-wide treasure hunt to recover it. Charlie and [[Julia]], who were becoming fast friends, [[Seven Dials: 5pm - 23rd November 2007|received the final clue]] to the software. In the video, Charlie was forced to kiss Lee in order to have him return Gavin's software. Lee was then beaten by [[Terrence]], Gavin's silent partner, and Charlie stole the software from the two of them. Terrence chased after Charlie, but the software was eventually lost to a Watcher. Gavin became increasingly depressed over the loss of his software, and Charlie was forced to have him move to another room in the flat.

Shortly after the hunt for Gavin's software, a reporter ([[Patricia|Patricia Nielson]]) had [[Sinking in|contacted]] Charlie in order to make a documentary about the [[Hymn of One]] and Dr. Griffin's faked death. At first, Charlie refused to work with her, but [[Operation Doorstep|she eventually agreed]], provided that reporter gave her a copy of all of the master tapes. Charlie was taken to meet with Dr. William Griffin in order to positively identify him and get more information about the [[trait positive]] girls. Dr. Griffin gave a list of all of the girls he had experimented on, who were in grave danger, to Patricia. The list eventually passed to Charlie, along with the documentary's master tapes, when Patricia was [[From Above|fired]]. Charlie then began a manhunt for any of the remaining girls on the list, in order to help save them.

The list was then stolen by Terrence, who believed it to be the stolen software. With the list, Gavin schemed with Terrence to trade the list of girls' names for the real stolen software with [[the Order]]. This caused Charlie to [[You Stink|leave]] Gavin.

I play the character Charlie aka: Chazontoast who is an Australian art student living in London. Charlie isn’t just a ‘token’ Ozzie who busts out a couple of lines about ‘throwing shrimps onto the Barbie,’ she is a little crazy, outgoing, outspoken, and just 'out'.. As in generally out of the house party girl who is immersing herself in as much London culture as she possibly can. Charlie also has a deeper motherly side to her, which simmers underneath all of the loud behaviour, which makes her an incredibly interesting character to play. Charlie is the type of friend that would be a hoot to spend time with – the one making all of the wisecracks, dancing the craziest, pulling the most outrageous facial expression and talking the loudest even if she is having a conversation with someone sitting right next to her – when I read my script I often find myself laughing out aloud at her shenanigans. I guess that everyone can relate to aspects of Charlies personality in one way or another. She had strengths that we all wish to possess at times and weaknesses that I have definitely felt at times. I love the fact that there is an Australian character in KateModern – even though I’m not from Melbourne originally I can definitely relate to my character’s experience of being a foreigner living in London. '''Tariq Bhartti''' is a character in the [[KateModern]] web series. He lives in East London and is a West Ham fan. He recently started a company with his friend [[Gavin]], and is looking forward to the time when their company is successful enough that he can afford a swimming pool.

At the beginning of the series, Tariq was dating [[Kate]], but [[Lovers Quarrel|was hurt]] when he found out that she [[A Friendly Lie|lied about her name]]. His distrust of Kate increased after she claimed to have [[I Can't Remember Anything!|lost her memory]]. Tariq didn't believe her, and Kate ended up turning to [[Steve]] for help. Tariq became jealous of Steve, and suspicious of his intentions, and [[Tariq Attack|attacked him]]. This led Kate to break things off.

The two reconciled after he came to her rescue at [[Carnaby Street, Saturday 18th August, 10AM|Carnaby Street]], where Steve brought Kate to "recover her lost memories." Kate was hurt and confused after she found out that the [[Dr. William Griffin|specialist]] she had seen was dead, and suspected Steve and the [[Hymn of One]] had something to do with it. Tariq stood by Kate as she [[The Prisoner|questioned Steve]], and later worked to get Kate off the hook when Steve threatened to [[Gavin Steps Up|press charges]] against Kate for her tactics.

Tariq became even more worried for Kate when he noticed a [[Watcher]] [[Who Watches The Watcher?|outside of her apartment]]. He became outright disturbed when Kate received a letter from [[Dudley]], asking her to meet him on [[Pinchin Street]] so that he and his father, the specialist (who had faked his death) could explain themselves. Tariq tried to come with her, but Kate decided that he [[Girl Power|could not come]], causing Tariq to become upset and [[The End|break up with Kate]]. He went on a date with a girl he [[A Close Shave|met on the internet]] but it didn't go well. He then met [[Julia]], an Orange Shop employee, who he began [[Cooking With Tariq|seriously dating]].

Tariq, however, remained [[Escapism|conflicted]] about his feelings towards Kate. After Kate [[Why?|vanished]], he was approached by Charlie, who asked him to help her find Kate. An upset Tariq replied [[A Quiet Night Out|"Why should I care [about Kate]?"]]. However, he later became more worried, and helped to [[No Turning Back|steal the car that Kate had last been seen in]] and [[Van Sandwich|lived in it for weeks]], hoping to get some information about her whereabouts.

When Kate [[Kate Returns|contacted Charlie]] to let her know that she didn't want to be found, Tariq [[Birthday Surprise|became understandably upset with Kate]] and gave her a piece of his mind.

Shortly after returning from the woods, Gavin and Tariq renewed their efforts to work on their software. In order to help them, they hired on [[Lee]], a work experience trainee volunteer. Unfortunately, Gavin seemed to find humor in degrading Lee, who was working for nothing. As retaliation, Lee stole the only copy of their software in [[The Leak]] and posted videos that would lead both Gavin in Tariq on a treasure hunt around London to attempt to recover it. This strained their friendship, however, and the two now refuse to speak to each other.

'''Charlie''' is [[Kate]]'s best friend and roommate in the [[KateModern]] series. They share a flat in East London, where Charlie works for a P.R. Company. Kate believes she is a bit mad, but she excuses this because Charlie introduced her to Vegemite.

Charlie grew up in the suburbs in Melbourne, Australia. While she was there, she dated a few guys whom she calls "boring mincers." Since moving to London, she has let her hair down a bit, and enjoys partying and dancing. Her favorite foods are tomato sauce and [[sangas]]. She has a sister named [[Rose (character)|Rose]] and a niece named [[Kim]]. Charlie wants to have a daughter someday.

From the beginning, Charlie has [[Charlie's Workout|looked out]] for Kate, trying to keep her away from guys like "Creepy [[Steve]]." When Gavin [[Trait Positive|contacted her]] with information regarding Kate's saftey, she rushed down to his office. However, the two of them ended up getting locked in the building, and had to rely on fans to [[Carnaby Street, Saturday 18th August, 10AM|help save Kate]].

While trapped in the office, Charlie slept with Gavin for a bit, thought she may've been pregnant. Luckily, though, she discovered that it was- as the video was titled- a '[[False Alarm|false alarm]]'.

Charlie and her friends then went to see the movie "[[Disturbia]]," and she quickly became obsessed with the starring actor, Shia LaBeouf. She [[Saved By LaBeouf|went to the Regency Grand Hotel]], in an attempt to meet up with him, but was stopped by [[Gavin]], who instead asked her to be his girlfriend. She accepted, and the two are [[A Close Shave|currently]] in a [[KM Relationships#Charlie and Gavin|relationship]].

Later, Kate was [[Who Watches The Watcher?|contacted]] by her [[Dr. William Griffin|blood specialist]], who had faked his death. He asked Kate to meet him in the woods, and Charlie [[Girl Power|came along]] to help protect her friend. She quickly became scared for her life and asked that if she didn't return, her niece [[Kim]] would be told [[Tell Kim I Love Her|how much]] she was loved. Luckily, both girls got home [[Super Kate|safely]].

Kate was soon invited to feature her art at a prestigious gallery, where she and Charlie witnessed a [[Dudley did it!|shooting]]. Afterwards, Charlie convinced Kate to take a short vacation to [[Devon]]. On returning to London, [[Why?|Kate assaulted Charlie and disappeared]] after a meeting with Michelle Clore.

Despite this inexplicable behavior, Charlie attempted to [[A Quiet Night Out|get]] [[Hymn of One (video)|help]] from Kate's friends to find her, but was met with much resistance. Along the way, [[Enter The Order|she learned]] that Michelle Clore was an [[Elder]] in the [[Hymn of One]], but was reassured when [[Dr. William Griffin]] told her that there was still time to save Kate before she could be "Ceremonied." This fact was later [[Hear My Song|verified]] by Steve.

Shortly after Steve realized this connection, the same van that Kate got into with Michelle Clore began following him. He [[No Turning Back|called Charlie and Tariq]] and asked them to come see, but things quickly got violent with the Watcher who had been driving the van. In order to save his friends, Tariq hopped in the newly-vacated van and ran over the Watcher. He, Charlie, and Steve then took off in the van, in which they ended up [[Van Sandwich|finding a laptop]] that potentially contained information about Kate's whereabouts.

The trio camped out in the woods, examining the materials left in the van, hoping to find any information about Kate. After days of no success, Charlie called [[My Last Resort|Dudley]] to ask him for his help. However, that ended badly after Dudley pulled a gun, which resulted in the group [[The Message|fleeing]] from the van. However, one good thing came of it; Charlie received a text message from Kate.

Charlie went home, and along with Gavin, [[Kate Returns|met up with Kate]], who informed Charlie that she did not want to be found. This angered Charlie, who had just spent a week living in a van searching for her friend. She stormed off, but later realized that Kate was still brainwashed by Michelle Clore and vowed to continue trying to help her friend.

Charlie's spirits were lifted when she received a [[Trait Negative|message]] from [[Spencer|Spencer Gilman]] in Los Angeles about a serum she could use to make Kate trait negative. Charlie recieved the serum, but was [[Creepy|attacked by Dudley]], who wanted to get ahold of it. Kate mysteriously reappeared in time to save Charlie from Dudley, but ended up pushing him out the window in the process. Kate became distraught and begged Dr. William Griffin to leave Charlie and her alone.

Thinking she was putting an end to the craziness in her friend's life, Charlie [[Genevieve (video)|injected Kate]] with the trait negative serum. However, Kate began to cry, apologized, and ran off, leaving Charlie bewildered.

When Charlie tried to look for Dudley, he has been taken away mysteriously by a black van; she has reported on the same video that Kate has killed Dudley because he tried to attack her.

Since then, Charlie seems to have stopped looking for Kate; even though she has seen her video "abstract heart", which has caused a lot of speculation by other bebo-users about a hidden agenda with Kate still being in London and crying for help, Charlie cared for other things. This becomes understandable because she had growing problems on her job because her collegues started with mobbing her when they saw her videos on bebo and her boss noticed she was vblogging a lot in her job, which almost made her loose it. Furthermore, Kate left her without having paid the rent for the month, which caused the eviction of Charlie.

In that situation, Gavin has proven very helpful; he has moved in with her in order to share the rent so that Charlie didn`t have to worry about that problem any more. And Charlie herself was able to solve the job-problem with helping to do a great campagne for Pantene.

Gavin and Charlie`s relationship didn`t stay that well, `though; after Gavin has lost the software of his enterprise to Lee, which ended up in a treasure hunt for it which was won by a watcher of the Hymn of One, she has sent him off because Gavin got mental because of the loss of his software to sleep in his own room.

Meanwhile, a reporter called [[Patricia]] has [[Sinking in|tried to contact]] Charlie in order to do a documentary about the Hymn of One and Dr. Griffin`s faked death, and maybe, Dudley`s real death. At first, Charlie refused to work together with her and even tried to mock her, but now, it seems that she wants to work together with her, provided the reporter lets her know everything that will be shown on the documentary beforehand. And Charlie and Julia, Tariq`s girlfriend, have developed a very positive relationship during the treasure hunt for the software.(entry done by New voice of reason)

Shortly after agreeing to work with [[Patricia]], she was taken to meet with [[Dr. William Griffin]], so Patricia could find out if it truely was him, the man Charlie had met a few times before, or just a guy putting them on a wild goose chase. Showing up, Charlie was very upset to see the Dr. again, and repeatedly refused to help when he told her she had to be the one to find the girls he turned Trait Positive and turn them back, and left very upset, not taking the list of names. Later Patricia showed up with all the tapes she and her co-worker Dave were shooting, because she'd been [[From Above|fired]], and gave Charlie the list of names, even though she didn't want it. She's starting to think she should help.

I play the character Charlie aka: Chazontoast who is an Australian art student living in London. Charlie isn’t just a ‘token’ Ozzie who busts out a couple of lines about ‘throwing shrimps onto the Barbie,’ she is a little crazy, outgoing, outspoken, and just 'out'.. As in generally out of the house party girl who is immersing herself in as much London culture as she possibly can. Charlie also has a deeper motherly side to her, which simmers underneath all of the loud behaviour, which makes her an incredibly interesting character to play. Charlie is the type of friend that would be a hoot to spend time with – the one making all of the wisecracks, dancing the craziest, pulling the most outrageous facial expression and talking the loudest even if she is having a conversation with someone sitting right next to her – when I read my script I often find myself laughing out aloud at her shenanigans. I guess that everyone can relate to aspects of Charlies personality in one way or another. She had strengths that we all wish to possess at times and weaknesses that I have definitely felt at times. I love the fact that there is an Australian character in KateModern – even though I’m not from Melbourne originally I can definitely relate to my character’s experience of being a foreigner living in London. Kate and Charlie [[Dr. Weirdo|met with Dr. Griffin after being led to a secluded spot in the woods]] by his son, Dudley. He claims the Order is a very real and serious threat to every man, woman and child on this planet. He told Kate that the fact that she has the trait positive blood and wasn't abducted as a baby was an anomaly that he felt he had to harness. He also informed her that his experiments with the trait positive girls showed that they had something more than the ability to increase longevity - that they possess other, as yet unspecified, powerful abilities.

After [[Why?|Kate's disappearance]] Dr. Griffin and Dudley [[Enter The Order|contacted Charlie]] to give her information about Kate. Dr. Griffin claimed that Michelle Clore is an [[Elder]] of [[the Order]] who wanted to use Kate's [[trait positive]] blood to extend her life. He explained to Charlie that this would kill Kate. They also gave Charlie some details about the preparation of girls before the [[The Ceremony (ritual)|Ceremony]] - namely that the girls are given a special diet of minerals and brainwashing beforehand. They claimed that evidence for this could be found in Michelle Clore's artwork, which were indeed found to include a stereogram of the Hymn of One symbol. Charlie [[My Last Resort|contacted Dr. Griffin again]] when she was desperate for help to unlock the Watcher's laptop [[No Turning Back|that was in the van they had stolen]] but when he and Dudley arrived they attacked [[Steve]]. Dr. Griffin [[The Message|still claimed to want to work with]] Charlie, Tariq and Steve to find and help Kate, and by extension find Michelle Clore. Dr. Griffin seemed surprised when Dudley pulled a gun and forcibly took the laptop.

After hearing that Charlie had recieved a [[Trait Negative]] serum from [[Spencer|Spencer Gilman]], Dr. Griffin and his son [[Creepy|went to]] [[Kate and Charlie's flat|Charlie's flat]] and tried to take it from her. However, Dudley became violent. Dr. Griffin tried to hold him off of her, but Dudley was able to break free and attacked Charlie. Kate walked in in time to save her friend, but pushed Dudley a bit too hard. He [[Act Positive|fell out the window]] and crashed to his death. Dr. Griffin [[Genevieve (video)|became distraught]] over the death of his son, but continued to tell Kate that he needed her help to bring down [[the Order]].

'''Charlie''' is [[Kate]]'s best friend and roommate in the [[KateModern]] series. They share a flat in East London, where Charlie works for a P.R. Company. Kate believes she is a bit mad, but she excuses this because Charlie introduced her to Vegemite.

Charlie grew up in the suburbs in Melbourne, Australia. While she was there, she dated a few guys whom she calls "boring mincers." Since moving to London, she has let her hair down a bit, and enjoys partying and dancing. Her favorite foods are tomato sauce and [[sangas]]. She has a sister named [[Rose (character)|Rose]] and a niece named [[Kim]]. Charlie wants to have a daughter someday.

From the beginning, Charlie has [[Charlie's Workout|looked out]] for Kate, trying to keep her away from guys like "Creepy [[Steve]]." When Gavin [[Trait Positive|contacted her]] with information regarding Kate's saftey, she rushed down to his office. However, the two of them ended up getting locked in the building, and had to rely on fans to [[Carnaby Street, Saturday 18th August, 10AM|help save Kate]].

While trapped in the office, Charlie slept with Gavin for a bit, thought she may've been pregnant. Luckily, though, she discovered that it was- as the video was titled- a '[[False Alarm|false alarm]]'.

Charlie and her friends then went to see the movie "[[Disturbia]]," and she quickly became obsessed with the starring actor, Shia LaBeouf. She [[Saved By LaBeouf|went to the Regency Grand Hotel]], in an attempt to meet up with him, but was stopped by [[Gavin]], who instead asked her to be his girlfriend. She accepted, and the two are [[A Close Shave|currently]] in a [[KM Relationships#Charlie and Gavin|relationship]].

Later, Kate was [[Who Watches The Watcher?|contacted]] by her [[Dr. William Griffin|blood specialist]], who had faked his death. He asked Kate to meet him in the woods, and Charlie [[Girl Power|came along]] to help protect her friend. She quickly became scared for her life and asked that if she didn't return, her niece [[Kim]] would be told [[Tell Kim I Love Her|how much]] she was loved. Luckily, both girls got home [[Super Kate|safely]].

Kate was soon invited to feature her art at a prestigious gallery, where she and Charlie witnessed a [[Dudley did it!|shooting]]. Afterwards, Charlie convinced Kate to take a short vacation to [[Devon]]. On returning to London, [[Why?|Kate assaulted Charlie and disappeared]] after a meeting with Michelle Clore.

Despite this inexplicable behavior, Charlie attempted to [[A Quiet Night Out|get]] [[Hymn of One (video)|help]] from Kate's friends to find her, but was met with much resistance. Along the way, [[Enter The Order|she learned]] that Michelle Clore was an [[Elder]] in the [[Hymn of One]], but was reassured when [[Dr. William Griffin]] told her that there was still time to save Kate before she could be "Ceremonied." This fact was later [[Hear My Song|verified]] by Steve.

Shortly after Steve realized this connection, the same van that Kate got into with Michelle Clore began following him. He [[No Turning Back|called Charlie and Tariq]] and asked them to come see, but things quickly got violent with the Watcher who had been driving the van. In order to save his friends, Tariq hopped in the newly-vacated van and ran over the Watcher. He, Charlie, and Steve then took off in the van, in which they ended up [[Van Sandwich|finding a laptop]] that potentially contained information about Kate's whereabouts.

The trio camped out in the woods, examining the materials left in the van, hoping to find any information about Kate. After days of no success, Charlie called [[My Last Resort|Dudley]] to ask him for his help. However, that ended badly after Dudley pulled a gun, which resulted in the group [[The Message|fleeing]] from the van. However, one good thing came of it; Charlie received a text message from Kate.

Charlie went home, and along with Gavin, [[Kate Returns|met up with Kate]], who informed Charlie that she did not want to be found. This angered Charlie, who had just spent a week living in a van searching for her friend. She stormed off, but later realized that Kate was still brainwashed by Michelle Clore and vowed to continue trying to help her friend.

Charlie's spirits were lifted when she received a [[Trait Negative|message]] from [[Spencer|Spencer Gilman]] in Los Angeles about a serum she could use to make Kate trait negative. Charlie recieved the serum, but was [[Creepy|attacked by Dudley]], who wanted to get ahold of it. Kate mysteriously reappeared in time to save Charlie from Dudley, but ended up pushing him out the window in the process. Kate became distraught and begged Dr. William Griffin to leave Charlie and her alone.

Thinking she was putting an end to the craziness in her friend's life, Charlie [[Genevieve (video)|injected Kate]] with the trait negative serum. However, Kate began to cry, apologized, and ran off, leaving Charlie bewildered.

When Charlie tried to look for Dudley, he has been taken away mysteriously by a black van; she has reported on the same video that Kate has killed Dudley because he tried to attack her.

Since then, Charlie seems to have stopped looking for Kate; even `though she has seen her video "abstract heart", which has caused a lot of speculation by other bebo-users about a hidden agenda with Kate still being in London and crying for help, Charlie cared for other things. This becomes understandable because she had growing problems on her job because her collegues started with mobbing her when they saw her videos on bebo and her boss noticed she was vblogging a lot in her job, which almost made her loose it. Furthermore, Kate left her without having paid the rent for the month, which caused the eviction of Charlie.

In that situation, Gavin has proven very helpful; he has moved in with her in order to share the rent so that Charlie didn`t have to worry about that problem any more. And Charlie herself was able to solve the job-problem with helping to do a great campagne for Pantene.

Gavin and Charlie`s relationship didn`t stay that well, `though; after Gavin has lost the software of his enterprise to Lee, which ended up in a treasure hunt for it which was won by a watcher of the Hymn of One, she has sent him off because Gavin got mental because of the loss of his software to sleep in his own room.

Meanwhile, a reporter called Patricia has tried to contact Charlie in order to do a documentary about the Hymn of One and Dr. Griffin`s faked death, and maybe, Dudley`s real death. At first, Charlie refused to work together with her and even tried to mock her, but now, it seems that she wants to work together with her, provided the reporter lets her know everything that will be shown on the documentary beforehand. And Charlie and Julia, Tariq`s girlfriend, have developed a very positive relationship during the treasure hunt for the software.(entry done by New voice of reason)

Charlie isn’t just a ‘token’ Ozzie who busts out a couple of lines about ‘throwing shrimps onto the Barbie,’ she is a little crazy, outgoing, outspoken, and just 'out'.. As in generally out of the house party girl who is immersing herself in as much London culture as she possibly can. Charlie also has a deeper motherly side to her, which simmers underneath all of the loud behaviour, which makes her an incredibly interesting character to play. Charlie is the type of friend that would be a hoot to spend time with – the one making all of the wisecracks, dancing the craziest, pulling the most outrageous facial expression and talking the loudest even if she is having a conversation with someone sitting right next to her – when I read my script I often find myself laughing out aloud at her shenanigans. I guess that everyone can relate to aspects of Charlies personality in one way or another. She had strengths that we all wish to possess at times and weaknesses that I have definitely felt at times. I love the fact that there is an Australian character in KateModern – even though I’m not from Melbourne originally I can definitely relate to my character’s experience of being a foreigner living in London. According to her early [[Fight and Flight|art videos]], Kate's ex broke her heart. When Kate begins to have [[Awful Dream|bad dreams]], she goes to [[Sangas|see her ex]] in order to make sense of them. This greatly [[Lovers Quarrel|upsets]] her current boyfriend, [[Tariq]]. After Kate goes to see a specialist about her abnormal blood and wakes up [[I Can't Remember Anything!|unable to remember anything]], her friends believe that Kate may have restarted her relationship with her ex, in spite of her [[A new friend|instances to the contrary]]. Kate's ex was quickly forgotten as soon as [[Steve]] appeared on the scene.

At the beginning of the [[KateModern]] storyline, Kate is dating Tariq. The two seem happy until Kate tells him that [[A Friendly Lie|her name really isn't Kate]]. Kate then has some memory loss and seeks the help of Steve. Tariq is uneasy about the connection between Steve and Kate, and when he finds out that Steve is in the Hymn of One he becomes angry. Tariq then confronts and [[Tariq Attack|hits Steve]], then storms off. After a [[Walk of Shame|small break]] from the group, Tariq reappeared at [[Carnaby Street, Saturday 18th August, 10AM|Carnaby Street]], frantic and worried about Kate. Since that day, and the confirmation that Steve was not who he claimed to be, the two were closer than ever before.

Soon though, Kate started being [[Who Watches The Watcher?|stalked]] by a [[Watcher]], which worried Tariq. His worry increased when [[Dudley]] came and left a secret message for her. He, Kate, and Charlie went to [[Girl Power|meet up with Dudley]] at a [[Pinchin Street|prearranged location]], however, Kate asked him not to join them. She said that his "knight in shining armor crap" would get in the way. This upset Tariq greatly, causing him to [[The End|break things off]] with Kate.

Kate and Steve's relationship started off when Kate [[A new friend|met him in a library]] after doing some research about her memory loss. He claimed to be there researching the same thing and told Kate that he can help her regain her memory. This new friendship made everyone close to Kate uneasy. It was later revealed that [[Charlie's party|Steve is a member of the Hymn of One]], this revelation lead Kate to [[Ding Dong|assualt]], [[The Prisoner|tie up and interrogate]] Steve. During his interrogation, Steve reveals that he has been lying about his amnesia and his intentions. After being released, Steve threatened to go the police but [[Gavin]] was able to [[Gavin Steps Up|convince him not to]]. After [[Why?|Kate's disappearance]] Steve declared that he was [[Bless You|concerned about Kate]] and wanted to help Charlie find her.

Kate and Charlie are flatmates. [[Charlie]] [[A Friendly Lie|introduced Kate to her friends]] after they met. Charlie was proven right when it turned out that Steve was lying to Kate about his amnesia and involved in the Hymn of One. Charlie has continued to prove herself a loyal friend to Kate by always being concerned for her, even when [[Why?|Kate assaulted Charlie]] and disappeared.

Tariq and Gavin are business partners and best friends. The series started off with the two [[Spiders|starting up a business together]]. It is this business along with Kate and all of the drama that she is associated with that causes most of the disagreements between the pair, as Gavin thinks that he and Tariq should be [[Birdwatching|focusing on their blossoming business]], lest anyone beat them to the punch, instead of wasting time with Kate's "craziness". After Gavin's loyalty was put into doubt by Steve's comment, it was Tariq who found him [[Explain yourself|hiding out in his sister's house]]. Tariq was also able to convince Gavin to do his part in helping Kate find out what happened with the specialist.

After Tariq and Gavin`s abuse of their trainee Lee, the theft of the software and the resulting treasure hunt for it, Tariq and Gavin`s relationship changed completely. Both men blamed the other for the loss of the software, and Gavin has put Tariq on his [[The List|hate-list]]. They are currently not on speaking terms.

Tariq and Julia meet in [[Orange Wednesday]], when Gavin and Tariq go to the Orange Mobile shop, where Julia works. At first, she finds them bizarre because they are filming everything, but she comes around as she later [[Moving On|goes out with Tariq]]. Tariq describes his relationship with Julia as "more relaxed than his relationship with Kate ever was." Since then, they have been seen going on multiple dates, indicating that they are, in fact, an item.

She also talks about '''Peter''', '''Bruce''', '''Henry''' and his collection of female mannequins, '''Roger''', the romantic, who was not particularily well endowed, and '''Donald''', who she figures is best not to talk about on camera.

The series started with Gavin and Charlie barely knowing each other, but in the video [[Office space]] Gavin showed that he is interested in Charlie by wanting to go to her birthday party. At Charlie's party, the pair flirted. In the video [[Birdwatching]], Gavin and Charlie talk about Kate, and Gavin offers to help. He then gives her a kiss on the cheek and the video ends with Gavin getting a close-up of Charlie's behind. When Charlie and Gavin were locked up in Tariq and Gavin's office they made many videos, one of which showing that [[Creep or unique?|Charlie thinks Gavin is cute]]. That particular video ended with Gavin hugging Charlie as the two laughed. After Gavin [[Gavin Steps Up|convinced Steve not to press charges]] against Kate, Charlie decided to that he deserved a treat and asked him out to the cinema. In the most recent video [[False Alarm]] Charlie confesses that she and Gavin had sex. In the video she thought she was pregnant but ended up getting her period at the end of it, causing Gavin to [[...|freak out a bit.]]

Charlie then goes to see the movie [[Disturbia]], and begins to get a crush on Shia LaBeouf. While comparing her feelings for Gavin and Shia, Charlie [[Girls Are From Venus|reveals]] parts of a private video that she and Gavin made, in which Gavin asks her to "keep [her] socks on." This embarrasses Gavin, who angrily heads out to a bar to [[Keep Your Socks On!|pick up other girls]]. Upset by this, Charlie turns her full attention onto Shia, and heads to the Regency Grand Hotel to [[Desperately Seeking Shia|try and meet him]]. However, Gavin, having realized his feelings for Charlie, goes to [[Somebody Do Something |stop her]]. He ends up [[Saved By LaBeouf|asking her]] to be his girlfriend.

After Kate went off with [[Michelle Clore]] to study art, Charlie couldn't pay the rent for [[Kate and Charlie's flat|the flat]] that she used to live in with Kate. Gavin then rerented [[Gavin and Charlie's flat|her old flat]] for the two of them to live in together.

'''Charlie''' is [[Kate]]'s best friend and roommate in the [[KateModern]] series. They share a flat in East London, where Charlie works for a P.R. Company. Kate believes she is a bit mad, but she excuses this because Charlie introduced her to Vegemite.

Charlie grew up in the suburbs in Melbourne, Australia. While she was there, she dated a few guys whom she calls "boring mincers." Since moving to London, she has let her hair down a bit, and enjoys partying and dancing. Her favorite foods are tomato sauce and [[sangas]]. She has a sister named [[Rose (character)|Rose]] and a niece named [[Kim]]. Charlie wants to have a daughter someday.

From the beginning, Charlie has [[Charlie's Workout|looked out]] for Kate, trying to keep her away from guys like "Creepy [[Steve]]." When Gavin [[Trait Positive|contacted her]] with information regarding Kate's saftey, she rushed down to his office. However, the two of them ended up getting locked in the building, and had to rely on fans to [[Carnaby Street, Saturday 18th August, 10AM|help save Kate]].

While trapped in the office, Charlie slept with Gavin for a bit, thought she may've been pregnant. Luckily, though, she discovered that it was- as the video was titled- a '[[False Alarm|false alarm]]'.

Charlie and her friends then went to see the movie "[[Disturbia]]," and she quickly became obsessed with the starring actor, Shia LaBeouf. She [[Saved By LaBeouf|went to the Regency Grand Hotel]], in an attempt to meet up with him, but was stopped by [[Gavin]], who instead asked her to be his girlfriend. She accepted, and the two are [[A Close Shave|currently]] in a [[KM Relationships#Charlie and Gavin|relationship]].

Later, Kate was [[Who Watches The Watcher?|contacted]] by her [[Dr. William Griffin|blood specialist]], who had faked his death. He asked Kate to meet him in the woods, and Charlie [[Girl Power|came along]] to help protect her friend. She quickly became scared for her life and asked that if she didn't return, her niece [[Kim]] would be told [[Tell Kim I Love Her|how much]] she was loved. Luckily, both girls got home [[Super Kate|safely]].

Kate was soon invited to feature her art at a prestigious gallery, where she and Charlie witnessed a [[Dudley did it!|shooting]]. Afterwards, Charlie convinced Kate to take a short vacation to [[Devon]]. On returning to London, [[Why?|Kate assaulted Charlie and disappeared]] after a meeting with Michelle Clore.

Despite this inexplicable behavior, Charlie attempted to [[A Quiet Night Out|get]] [[Hymn of One (video)|help]] from Kate's friends to find her, but was met with much resistance. Along the way, [[Enter The Order|she learned]] that Michelle Clore was an [[Elder]] in the [[Hymn of One]], but was reassured when [[Dr. William Griffin]] told her that there was still time to save Kate before she could be "Ceremonied." This fact was later [[Hear My Song|verified]] by Steve.

Shortly after Steve realized this connection, the same van that Kate got into with Michelle Clore began following him. He [[No Turning Back|called Charlie and Tariq]] and asked them to come see, but things quickly got violent with the Watcher who had been driving the van. In order to save his friends, Tariq hopped in the newly-vacated van and ran over the Watcher. He, Charlie, and Steve then took off in the van, in which they ended up [[Van Sandwich|finding a laptop]] that potentially contained information about Kate's whereabouts.

The trio camped out in the woods, examining the materials left in the van, hoping to find any information about Kate. After days of no success, Charlie called [[My Last Resort|Dudley]] to ask him for his help. However, that ended badly after Dudley pulled a gun, which resulted in the group [[The Message|fleeing]] from the van. However, one good thing came of it; Charlie received a text message from Kate.

Charlie went home, and along with Gavin, [[Kate Returns|met up with Kate]], who informed Charlie that she did not want to be found. This angered Charlie, who had just spent a week living in a van searching for her friend. She stormed off, but later realized that Kate was still brainwashed by Michelle Clore and vowed to continue trying to help her friend.

Charlie's spirits were lifted when she received a [[Trait Negative|message]] from [[Spencer|Spencer Gilman]] in Los Angeles about a serum she could use to make Kate trait negative. Charlie recieved the serum, but was [[Creepy|attacked by Dudley]], who wanted to get ahold of it. Kate mysteriously reappeared in time to save Charlie from Dudley, but ended up pushing him out the window in the process. Kate became distraught and begged Dr. William Griffin to leave Charlie and her alone.

Thinking she was putting an end to the craziness in her friend's life, Charlie [[Genevieve (video)|injected Kate]] with the trait negative serum. However, Kate began to cry, apologized, and ran off, leaving Charlie bewildered.

Charlie isn’t just a ‘token’ Ozzie who busts out a couple of lines about ‘throwing shrimps onto the Barbie,’ she is a little crazy, outgoing, outspoken, and just 'out'.. As in generally out of the house party girl who is immersing herself in as much London culture as she possibly can. Charlie also has a deeper motherly side to her, which simmers underneath all of the loud behaviour, which makes her an incredibly interesting character to play. Charlie is the type of friend that would be a hoot to spend time with – the one making all of the wisecracks, dancing the craziest, pulling the most outrageous facial expression and talking the loudest even if she is having a conversation with someone sitting right next to her – when I read my script I often find myself laughing out aloud at her shenanigans. I guess that everyone can relate to aspects of Charlies personality in one way or another. She had strengths that we all wish to possess at times and weaknesses that I have definitely felt at times. I love the fact that there is an Australian character in KateModern – even though I’m not from Melbourne originally I can definitely relate to my character’s experience of being a foreigner living in London. Gavin, appreciative of the opportunity for free labor, hired him immediately. He first appeared in the video [[Birthday Surprise]], where he came across as a suck up, but a bit spacy.

Since that time, Gavin and Tariq took [[Big Boys|complete]] [[Subservient Lee|advantage]] of Lee's position of a free employee. Lee finally fought back in [[The Leak]], leaking information about Tariq and Gavin's software onto the internet and removing all traces of the program from Tariq and Gavin's computers, leaving only a copy on his own harddrive. He promised to give the software back as soon as Tariq and Gavin started apologizing for their treatment of him.
