'''Seth Jacobs''' joined EQAL in 2008 heading up the Music Department where he built and oversaw record label and publishing partnerships, along with music supervising EQAL’s slate of shows. Seth is now part of the Business Development team at EQAL and focuses his time on music-related projects as well as bringing larger brand-oriented deals and partnerships to the company. Seth oversees the development of EQAL’s projects from inception to execution.

'''Melanie Joanna Merkosky''' is the actress who played [[Jennie]] in the [[lonelygirl15]] web series. It has also been announced that she will play the key role in the upcoming [[Harper's Globe]]. A native of Canada, Melanie first got involved with the performing arts when, at the age of three, her parents noticed that she liked to watch television in a perfect Russian split position on the floor and enrolled her in her first dance class. When she was eight years old, Melanie was accepted into the Young Canadians School of the Performing Arts, with whom she studied for the next ten years. During that time she performed in theaters across the country before going on tour with the musical ''Mamma Mia!'' with the First National Touring Company.

From there, Melanie pursued her interest in acting for film and television. While still living in Canada, she landed small roles in "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" the T.V. series, and the T.V. movies ''Noah'' and ''The Sheldon Kennedy Story.'' She then went on to become a series regular on the show "Slings and Arrows" and had the opportunity to perform original songs written by the Tony Award winning duo Greg Morrison and Lisa Lambert. Since then, she has moved to the US and appeared in other programs, including "'Til Death Do Us Part," "Slings and Arrows," and "Runaway." In 2006, Melanie played Natalie in the movie ''American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile,'' the role for which she is probably best known.

The following year, Melanie got the part of Jennie in lonelygirl15. She had heard of the show before getting cast, but hadn't realized how widespread and interactive it was until she started doing research. The casting process involved a total of four auditions, the last one being a "chemistry read" alongside [[Jackson Davis]] and [[Alexandra Dreyfus]]. Since joining, Melanie has commented on the fan interaction, saying, "''I think it's great. There is a real family dynamic at LG15, and the fans are a huge part of that.''"

In late February 2008, Melanie headed to Canada to shoot a short film called ''[http://www.baddogtheatre.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?post_id=1656#forumpost1656 Shay & Stay From Planet Sun].'' Not much is known about the project at this time, other than that it will be submitted to all major short film festivals.

== About using the press photos ==

Hi, I saw you've been experimenting with the recently released press photos for portal and character pics. I just wanted to note that, while experimenting won't be a problem, that set needs some major work before it can go live. The backgrounds need to be changed to white, in several of the "mugshots" the lighting is a little too strong, and some need sharpening as well, iirc. They also seem to have different saturation levels. They look fine on first glance, but the longer you look at (and compare) them, the more you find that could be improved. Keep experimenting, if you wish, as it'll probably be a good reference once we have better versions, but remember that, in order to use them on the main page, they'll all have to have a little date with photoshop. ;) 
Tbh, calculating 5x3 pics and an average of 1 hour of work for each, we're talking about roughly 15 hours of pure improvement work for the entire set - and that's without re-cropping them for portal links, character bios, characters page, etc. Since there was no official decision to even use them yet, no one's been assigned to touch them up yet, which means it could take ''quite'' some time until we get usable ones. 
As said, playing around with them will probably do no harm, but the way the images look now, they can't possibly go live - not because of the way you cropped or arranged them, but because of the image material itself.

Although Nikki appeared to be just another fan, she seemed to have inside information. She was able to find numerous locations at which lonelygirl15 episodes were shot. She produced a box with the symbol of the [[Watcher]]s several weeks before [[Gemma]] identified the same symbol in the video [[A Watcher]]. Nikki claimed she got some of her information from anonymous tips.

Many assumed that Nikki Bower was a fan who was in frequent e-mail contact with [[the Creators]] of lonelygirl15, and thus they occasionally tipped her with locations and information. In fact, the actress behind Nikki Bower is a childhood friend of [[Greg Goodfried]]'s. '''Pete Gibbons''' is the former series producer for the webseries [[KateModern]]. He grew up with a passion for radio. His dad, who was the station manager of BBC Three Counties Radio, gave Pete his first big break, a job in the station's sports department, at age 12.

After failing most of his A-levels, Pete moved to Manchester to work at BBC GMR. He stayed there until a BBC Radio Five Live program called "The Score" was commissioned. The program was soon dropped, and Pete moved to Five Live's News team as the Entertainment Producer for Phil Williams. Pete worked there for four years before becoming bored and leaving the BBC to set up Sniffer Ltd.

Pete got involved in KateModern after his Sniffer Ltd. buisness partner, [[Ralf Little]], went to Los Angeles and met with [[lonelygirl15]] [[The Creators|Creators]] [[Miles Beckett]] and [[Greg Goodfried]]. Ralf came back from this meeting and told Pete about lonelygirl15. Pete watched a few videos and thought the show was cool, but figured that only geeks would watch TV on the internet. In spite of this, he agreed to talk to the Creators and see what they had to say. Miles and Greg flew into London, where they all met for dinner at the Soho House. As they spoke, Pete slowly began to realize that perhaps he was wrong about geeks being the only ones who'd watch online shows. He and Ralf eventually signed a buisness deal with the Creators, which cemented Pete and Ralf's roles with the show.

As time went on, Pete began to watch more videos and finally realized how flat out WRONG he had been with his theory that only geeks watched TV on the internet. He also learned that working on an internet-based entertainment show was a lot of fun! As he became more and more immersed in the online community, Pete, who had never been a morning person, began finding himself waking up at 6 am just to surf the internet.

Pete's role on the show is to "make stuff happen." On a day-to-day basis, he has to make sure that the production is on track and source the props, locations, and lunches. He is also responsible for making sure the videos don't break any broadcasting laws and adhere to KateModern's strict production guidelines.

Creativity, artisticness, music, food, and beer all inspire Pete. If he weren't working in entertainment, Pete says that he'd like to be a sports person, particularily a footballer or rugby player. He currently lives with his partner in London.

In March 2008, [[Inside LG15]] announced that Pete had left KateModern "''to take on other exciting projects, and no doubt continue his amazing work changing the face of entertainment as we know it.''" [http://inside.lg15.com/2008/03/11/ch-ch-changes/]
