Hi Renegade, I saw that you're planning on doing some work on the [[AphidPedia]]. I think that's great! We're always looking for talented editors who understand the ARG. I wanted to let you know that so far, TigerLilyLynn and Shifty have done a lot of work on the OpAphid section of the wiki. You might want to send them a message at the forums and let them know about the redesign, so they can help contribute ideas. (And maybe you've already done this, but if not, just wanted to give you a heads-up). I'm looking forward to what you come up with, and if I have any good ideas I'll be sure to pitch in. Saw your work on redesigning AphidPedia. Like JayHenry, I'm always happy to have more editors who know about the ARG enough to take on work like this. I noticed you made Template Tac and Bro so you could use the icons. I think what you needed was already embodied in [[Template:Init]]. The way to use it is to write <nowiki>{{Init|Tachyon}}</nowiki>, which gives {{Init|Tachyon}}. If you do <nowiki>{{Init|Brother}}</nowiki> you get {{Init|Brother}}. Same for Op and pretty much any character that makes a blog. You can see all the options at [[Template talk:Init]]. Let me know if this is what you needed. That way we can avoid having duplicate templates. Again, thanks for your work on the wiki!

::You can find most of our templates at [[:category:templates]]. Init is short for "initials." The reason we don't get into it on the help page is because most of our new editors are new to wikis and so we don't spend a lot of time on meta-documentation. :::The link leads to [[Mediawiki:Monobook.css]] - that file gets included in this skin's style directives; you can see, for example, how the background is defined. Now I provided some code - that code will recolor the links in aphidblock to the lighter greenish color I also used on the AphidPedia redesign.
:::So all you'd have to do is copy the code I provided, follow the link, hit edit, paste, and hit save.

:::::I do, don't worry. ;) You probably just have a cached stylesheet. Try holding down shift while pressing refresh on the AphidPedia redesign page. This forces (in Firefox, at least) the browser to reload all elements from the server. You should then see the links turn green rather than blue or violet in the aphidblock template at the bottom.

I didn't want to keep bulking up [[Talk:List of Lonelygirl15 videos]], so I'm leaving a message here. Thanks for trying to work something out that makes a nice looking list. I don't want you do go through an inordinate amount of work to put in Javascript or have to write long code or anything. Even if IE users don't get anything nearly as nice as what you just made, I'm happy with anything that's just better-looking than a plain list. I'm not demanding that they get the added functionality, just to have something that doesn't look drab. If you can think of a simple solution that can maybe display some pictures for them, or make the formatting pretty, that's probably good enough. I also wanted to say great job with the Help: pages. They also look great! I gotta learn me some css!

:I was thinking of something image-based, more colorful. Keeping the basic layout of the list as it is right now, but generally making it look nicer. I'll include VidExpand, but there's no way (I know of) to make it work for IE - it just doesn't support the necessary tag. On the other hand, that's why I designed it to look almost the same for them...they'll have the same list, but better looking, and we'll have the better looking expandable list. And the most change outside the page it'll need is a certain someone visiting Monobook.css once again ;)

Here's one thing I've noticed about wikis in general: If you want something done, it's best to do it yourself. Even if other people are interested in an idea you have, you'll probably have to be the driving force behind it. What I'm saying is that if you really want to do this award thing (and no one has actually objected to the idea), go ahead and make a few awards as templates. Give one to someone if you think they deserve it. If no one else wants to use the awards, they don't have to, but you'll at least be giving everyone the option. If you need some help creating the templates, check out some of the awards on wikipedia or lostpedia like you mentioned and modify the code there to fit your needs. == Few things I noticed that may be relevant ==

So here are just a few things I noticed in the video that may be relevant enough to put in the notes.

Firstly, Jonas' parents seem to be brainwashed and don't remember him at all, yet they seem to accept that he is their son very easily. Unless if there was a part not shown where he had shown irrefutable evidence that they were in fact his parents, it seems rather fishy to me.

Secondly, Emma seems to be about 14-17, around the age that Bree was. Now if we are assuming that Jonas' parents were taken and brainwashed 7 years ago, it could be safe to assume that Emma is their adoptive daughter, just as Bree was to her parents. This could possibly be a trend for ceremony girls to be "placed" with a family to raise within the religion until around 16, when they begin to do the preparations for the ceremony. So it could be possible that Emma is the next or one of the next ceremony girls.

Lastly, this could be a stretch, but it could be possible that the end is trying to show or foreshadow possible brainwashing of Jonas into the Order.

It may be difficult to find a good picture of Jonas where the camera is sufficiently distant from his face. See below for 5 pictures of Jonas: the current pic, the current pic sharpened, and 3 new pics from the latest video. However, when you put one of the new pics alongside the other characters, you can see that Jonas's face is too close to the camera. So far, I vote to use the sharpened version of the current pic unless someone can upload some more alternatives (or point me to the relevant video and scene for more photo ideas). I can't hear the Spanish voiceover very well, and I can't make up my mind whether he is saying "contra el mal" (against evil), "contra el anormal" (against the abnormal), or something entirely different. There is definitely an extra syllable there in front of "mal", but I don't think he's saying abnormal.
Anyway, I'm posting because I made a change to the transcript. It said "anormal" in the Spanish version and "evil" in the English version. I'm not sure which is correct, but to keep it consistent, I changed "anormal" to "mal". For the record, mal = evil, and anormal = abnormal. We shouldn't have the English and Spanish versions saying different things!

Hey, this is just a shout-out to the image master. I must admit I tend to stay away from dealing with images (except categorizing them :), but it's ok because they're your specialty. Just wanted to say thanks for uploading images from the videos, categorizing them correctly, making neat little galleries, etc. Also, I've starting trying to do something about the [[locations]] pages, and I've noticed that a lot of them have various images of the locations. I tried to improve [[the movie theater]] page by using a gallery, but it still looks just as bad or worse. I was wondering if you had any ideas on how to make those pages look a little better. If you don't want to work on it, it's fine, but I thought I'd ask. Oh, and a small tip: when you're uploading images, you can put the categories right in the "Summary" box so you don't have to go back and add them (a small thing but it might save a little time).
