'''Richard Rushfield''' is an entertainment reporter at the LATimes who helped break the wall of silence and mystery surrounding Lonelygirl15.  Already on [[Down The Rabbit Hole: The Hunt For Bree|the hunt]] to find out if Bree was real, Rushfield was approached on or about August 30th, 2006 by a group of three LG15 sleuthers, occasionally referred to as the [[Phorum 3]].  The Phorum 3 secretly tracked IP addresses of the LG15 creators, which eventually led to the Creative Artists Agency in Beverly Hills, California.  On September 7, 2006, a few hours in advance of an LATimes article by Rushfield, [[The Creators]] posted [[A Message From The Creators]] that finally acknowledged lonelygirl15 was a fictional production.  That post and the traffic from the LATimes article crashed the [[Lonelygirl15.com]] site for a few hours.
