John "Jonathan" Gilmore (born July 5, 1935 in Los Angeles, California) is an American novelist and journalist.
Gas & Eats, the place where Daniel works, is a possible reference to John Gilmore’s book, "Crazy Streak." Only that book is much darker. All you need to know is that an adult and minor get it on.
