(Charlie, Gavin and Tariq are standing in a hallway.)
Charlie: This isn’t happening.
Tariq: Calm down Gav.
Gavin: Now is not the time for calming down, she’s gone too far!
Tariq: (grabbing Gavin by the shoulders) Will you just calm down, will you?
Gavin: (knocks Tariq away) Now who needs to calm down, eh?! You can’t go round doing that to people.
Charlie: No, he’s right, I shouldn’t have encouraged it, this is crazy we have to stop this!
Tariq: We’ve all agreed to stop doing this, all right, but don’t you want to hear what Steve has to say first?
Gavin: Yeah, but not like that! Not like that!
(Cut to Steve with gag in mouth. Gavin makes crazy sign as Kate removes gag from Steve.)
Steve: (panting) This is ridiculous.
Kate: (leans in close to Steve) Talk. TALK!
Steve: Okay okay. Someone-someone at the Hymn of One told me to defend you. I was just doing my job. I wanted to help.
Kate: And what about your memory?
Steve: I never had amnesia.
(Kate gasps and cries.)
Steve: I just needed a way for you to trust me. I’m sorry.
Tariq: Why do the Hymn Of One care about what happens to Kate?
Steve: Everybody at the Hymn Of One cares about Kate. She’s trait positive. She needs to be protected!
Tariq: Like that girl Bree!
Steve: If I have to explain that American bullshit to you one more..!!
Kate: Then why did you take me to Carnaby Street where you killed that specialist?
Steve: No, no. We didn't kill anybody...
Kate: (hissing) Then who did?
Steve: You want to know what we believe? We think there’s an unknown evil involved.
Tariq: You what?
Steve: Somebody had the specialist kidnap Kate and when we got close to them, they had them silenced.
Tariq: That's convenient isn't it!
Steve: Yeah well, I'm just telling you what I believe. They-they kidnapped Kate because she’s trait positive. I just wanted to work with you - all of you - to get to the bottom of this...to find out who's involved. Look - the offer still stands to get these answers together. We can work this together.
Tariq: Why the hell should we trust the Hymn Of One?
Steve: Why don’t you ask Gavin?
(Cut to Gavin who looks up and then to the side.)
