(Opens with Charlie drawing.)
Charlie: Once upon a time there lived a young girl called Kate who had very mysterious dreams. (Cuts to a cartoon.) One day she went to see a doctor who cast a spell on her. (Cartoon cuts in and out.) When she awoke she vowed to find out why the doctor had been so wicked! But when she found the doctor she found that he was dead. So with the help of her friends Kate found out she wasn't just an ordinary girl. She was special. She had valuable blood and this was desired by many evil strangers. But instead of listening to her friends Kate went off with creepy Steve and ended up becoming so afraid that she stayed awake for days on end. At this point Charlie vowed to seek the truth and save her little Kate once and for all. (Cut to Kate lying on the floor surrounded by candles.) Kate . . . did you sleep?
Kate: No, I'm not going to sleep.
Charlie: Okay... have you figured out what you're going to do?
Kate: (sigh) You're right, I've been an absolute idiot. I mean how come Steve just magically appeared when all this started happening?
