   * Chartreuse (liqueur), an aromatic brand of liqueur produced by the Carthusian monks in the Chartreuse monastery at Grenoble, France, and, at one time, at Tarragona, Spain. Usually yellow or green in coloring. Often flavoured with orange peal, pepermint, or hyssop.
